So I had to bring my wife's 2 year old car in to fix a slow leak/nail in the tire. The temperature was single digits cold. Process of getting wheel off the car to fix flat, the broke the lug cover cap. Single digits and plastics don't do well when having to pry. Discount Tire never charges to patch tires. so a free job and a broken cap was gonna end up costing them about $30. Not gonna lie, I've seen plenty of places who would not have been honest about the situation. The cap could been put back in and I may not have noticed until spring time:) . However, the guys at Discount Tire were honest about the situation apologized immediately As they came to tell me what happened, they were already ordering me the replacement cap. I know the world we live in now. Doing the right thing is not always done these days. No sidewall damage but they immediately said "didn't think they could repair it" Threw my rear wipe blade on the ground while "checking to see if I needed a new one" (which I also replaced, through them 3 month prior. I don't normally write reviews, but this discount tire is awesome! I had ordered in tires for my boat thinking they were the right ones, but they ended up being the wrong ones. The employee that helped me walked out to the vehicle and suggested a different tire that they had in stock because of the load rating. This was at the the store in Olathe at 153rd St. After waiting 20 minutes, with no help or anyone coming out I left. Probably won't be back again. In the 1.5 hours my car was there they cross threaded one of my studs and lug nut, put the washer and gasket connected to the TPMS sensor in backwards so that tire went flat, scratched up all four of my wheels very badly, and left my car parked in the parking lot with the doors unlocked, window rolled all the way down and my change thrown all over the car. read more

These guys are courteous, punctual, very customer service oriented. Told them what I needed for my SUV, where my budget was. They never seem to try and pressure you unnecessarily with an upsell that you don't need. They listen and recommend accordingly. I went to Discount Tire because about 5 months ago, my Camry was running a flat because I ran over a rather large screw that was a pretty large puncture. They said they could fix it if necessary, but I was really just about due for new tires due to my tread wear. I couldn't afford a new set at that time, so they took off the bad tire with the large hole and put on a used tire that still had some good tread because they didn't want to send me out driving with that risky front tire. Oh and did I mention they didn't charge me a dime for doing that. Nothing. Tried to get them to charge me; service guy wouldn't do it. Said "Just remember us when you are ready for tires." I always like their positive attitudes and attentiveness. They are very friendly either over the phone or in person! They offer free tire rotations and that was the primary reason that I went to the place. I have visited a few times for services like rotations, mounting and balancing new tires. They offered great prices on tires as well. Though, I vouch for their positive attitude, they could improve quality of work. I mean the work could be done more thoroughly. When they set a new tires and rebalanced my wheels, they left old double sided tape residues on my wheels. At another time, they didn't air up the tires as they were supposed to be after rotations. I did a drive by yesterday in my vehicle. Tires on the front had to be changed before a major snow event, but not to the point I had to get them done yesterday. I was met on my way into the store by a technician who promptly greeted me with an extended hand and a smile on his face like he enjoyed his job. Odd in this day and age. Had one TMPS sensor go bad so I ordered a new set for my car and then realized that I was going to need tires so made an appointment with Discount Tire on 153rd in Olathe. They told me they would install my new ones at the time of tire installation. While having the new tires installed a technician came in and told me that the sensors that I had purchased were not the ones for my car and that their reader could not communicate with them. I told him where I had purchased and then he said something about the ones on my car were not working either. I told him that three were working when I drove it in and that only one was giving an incorrect reading. So he sold me four of their TMPS sensors for $267. So I got home and got out my magnifying glass and the factory ones that they removed from my vehicle have the identical Schrader part number on them that the new ones had. So off to GM dealership that verified that the new replacements were the correct ones for my vehicle and identical to the ones that came from the factory on my vehicle. And my main reason for going to Discount Tire in the first place was the 5% military discount and 5% using their credit card which they did not allow me on these TMPS sensors even after spending nearly $1000 on a set of tires. So lesson learned, overall bad experience and will never buy from Discount tire again. It's back to the GM dealership where I should have returned for this purchase. read more

I took my car here for flat repair. The tire wasn't repairable. They gave me a quote for a new one. After discussing with my husband, he wanted me to just have the spare put back on so he could decide how many tires to replace. They put the spare back on, checked the torque on all the tires and didn't charge me any fee. During my visit I dealt with 4 different guys and each one was just super nice. This shop has some of the best staff I've ever dealt with. Highly recommend them. We don't live close to this shop or I'd buy my tires there. Kudos on your fantastic crew. read more

Discount Tire was far and away the best tire shopping experience of my life. Spending almost a grand on four new tires is never a fun proposition, so I started my tire buying experience online, comparing various local installers by their web pricing. Discount Tire beat another local competitor by $50/tire on a brand I was looking at (although didn't buy) so I figured they were probably competitive across the board and ordered four tires online. So far so good. Easy enough shopping experience and had my install scheduled for the next morning. Upon arriving for my appointment, I discovered what makes the Olathe Discount Tire truly shine... their amazing people! I was warmly greeted by Chaiyut and he took care of all of the general paperwork, warranty info, etc. He carefully explained the services offered, what I could expect from future visits, and was overall extremely friendly. After about 15 minutes of preliminaries, Dustin arrived to collect my keys and get my vehicle into the bay. As with everyone else working at the store, Dustin was personable and friendly, making me feel valued as a customer. I sat back to enjoy some complimentary coffee and wait the requisite hour to get my tires installed. To my surprise, Dustin returned 20 minutes later to let me know I was ready to go! My total time in-store was 35 minutes, which meant I was able to get to work with minimal delays. As a consumer, these types of experiences seem to be all too rare, these days, so they warrant special attention when they occur. Wanting to save some money I ordered a winter tire and wheel package for my wife's car online. I mounted the wheels from Discount Tire Direct online an immediately had a problem with the TPMS system. Calling the online number they referred me to the Olathe location. The error with the TPMS was related to the wrong version being placed from the online Discount tire. It was great to have a physical location to get service assistance. The Olathe location ordered parts from a very local Dodge dealer and even they sent Discount the incorrect sensors. After having a different Dodge dealer check the Durango it was determined that the wrong Dodge sensors had been installed. Still reading? Again I head down to the Olathe store and they order the correct sensors. Once the final set was installed, the sensors worked correctly and quickly. It was indeed a pain in the rear and even when I became frustrated the guys at Discount treated me like their best customer.
