Same people that own the one in Independence own the store under the same name same owner and management team and philosophy. So here we go. I have been going to Tire City for a few years now. I've gotten used tires, alignments and oil changes the last couple of years. I've never had any issues with their work before. So on 3/24/23 I took my Dodge Caravan in for brakes. After calling around they were competitive on price and the had an opening. I thought great I'd rather go there anyway because I could trust them.... Here's where it gets interesting... they put brakes on and turned my rotors I was cool. I took my van off the lot and my brakes were squeaking. My brother told me it could take 3-4 day for the brakes and rotors to marry I also looked online and heard a lot of people say spray some brake cleaner on it. So I did, it never stopped. I went back the next week they acted stupid like they had no idea who I was. But I had my receipt and they took my van back there. 30 minutes later they say "you're all good" I asked why the issue was... they said well we sprayed brake cleaner on it and it should be fixed... I said I've already done that maybe you guys could do it better...? The next day I'm driving and my brakes are squeaking again.... And I mean like nails on a chalkboard squealing. So went back and said "nope still not working...." So they ordered me new pads and told me that it was my fault for pressing my brakes to hard.... because my pads "glazed over" or "crystallized". So I looked it up and it says that this problem it normally caused by the brakes getting too hot... which would come from the rotors being too thin. So, it's even 3 days and this stuff is still messed up.... So I talked with my brother and we went to O'Reilly's and got a pair of brakes and rotors for about $255and I put them on myself. So afterwards I took my van back up there and showed them their receipt and my O"Reilly's receipt. I told them I spent $255 on my brakes and rotors because you couldn't do them right... the first thing out this dude mouth is "you should've brought it back." I stood there kind of felt insulted , because he really wanted me to bring them my car for more work. Like he really said that, I was floored. I said "I brought it to y'all 3 times and it ain't fixed.... I'm not doing that. I want my $311 back." He said "nothing I could do about it, you should've brought us the van and we would've fixed it." I have no idea what planet they live in, but it ain't earth. So he calls a manager at the Olathe(Ray) and he says "well I don't know about the Manager in Independence(Charlie), but I'm a brake guy and I would've done that in the beginning, maybe we can give you a $90 credit on an alignment...?" I responded "You really think I'll let you touch my car huh? Well I brought three times they couldn't do it... how do I get my money back?" He said "we are not authorized to do that... that would come from the owner... and talking to us is going to be better than talking to him we are nicer than he is." I told him "I'll take my chances, what's his name and office number?" Ray responded "oh I can't give you that." I told him "I should've said that about my $311." So I'm out $311 on something that now I know how to do myself I'm going to do that. Just for fun here are the receipts.... I am a independent business owner and that $311 has set me back a little bit. And I don't want it to happen to nobody else.... I won't be returning unless they have a check for me.

Great service and tires for a great price. A friend told us about Tire City and we went there for tires for one of our older cars. They sell both used and new tires and have a large selection. We were happy with the tires, price and service. However the place could certainly use a good scrub down. The front desk area was covered in paperwork and other odds and ends. There wasn't really a waiting area, just some chairs. And it just needed a good cleaning. You could tell that the owner enjoys what he does, he just needs someone to clean up his office and make it more friendly. It honestly made me a bit nervous as to the quality of product and work since the place was so dissolved. When you buy 4 tires it comes with a lifetime of free rotations and inspections. But in the end we were happy. And the owner beat all the competitors' prices then gave us a discount for paying cash. So we'll probably go back there again.

From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcomed and respected. They took the time to listen, answer my questions, and guide me through my options without any pressure. One thing I really appreciated is that they're always willing to work with you on a budget while still making sure you're getting something reliable. What stood out the most was how much they prioritize your safety. It didn't feel like they were trying to push anything unnecessary instead, they focused on what was truly best for me and my vehicle. That level of honesty and care is something you don't come across everywhere. The team was incredibly kind, patient, and professional throughout the entire experience. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers and take pride in what they do. I would absolutely recommend Discount Tire to anyone. It's the kind of place you can trust, and that makes all the difference.I truly appreciate what Y'all have done.

Process of getting wheel off the car to fix flat, the broke the lug cover cap. Single digits and plastics don't do well when having to pry. Discount Tire never charges to patch tires. so a free job and a broken cap was gonna end up costing them about $30. Not gonna lie, I've seen plenty of places who would not have been honest about the situation. The cap could been put back in and I may not have noticed until spring time:) . However, the guys at Discount Tire were honest about the situation apologized immediately As they came to tell me what happened, they were already ordering me the replacement cap. I know the world we live in now. Doing the right thing is not always done these days. Just wanted to share and give some kudos to the guys at Discount Tire in Olathe for being honest and doing the right thing.

Anyone who has ever moved knows that, of course that would happen that week! Fortunately, we found Zohr on Yelp and it was a mixed bag but ended up working pretty well. The bolt was discovered on a Saturday and we couldn't get anyone out until Monday around lunchtime. Not a huge issue as we have two cars and could ride it out, as long as they were on time... More about that in a sec. They were on the ball and said they could likely patch it, but got the tire size in case they needed to replace it on the spot. Their idea is genius, by the way. They'll come to you wherever and remove your tire and get it all fixed up or replaced, saving you the danger of driving on a wonky tire. They rescheduled us for Monday evening which didn't work with our closing/moving schedule, and called to have it at the original time. They didn't show during the window, and we had to call more than a few times to confirm they were still coming. Definitely frustrating to deal with, and I was ready to go to Plan B, but fortunately they ended up not being too late (about two hours after the window). My frustrations faded once they got someone en route; they became very responsive, communicative and let us know exactly when they'd be there. When they arrived, they said that since the bolt was in the tread they could plug it and be done in 15-20 minutes. Really grateful because we need a whole new set of tires on this car sometime soon, but would be a bummer to buy one and then have to buy a set again. Their tech was friendly and quick, very efficient, and the price was fair (I want to say around $85 out the door). They were a bit confused with the Yelp check in offer of 20% off, but I'm not sweating it too much. All in all, I was not the happiest camper the way it was going around appointment time, but they stepped up and totally redeemed themselves! Would use them again, but hopefully won't have to.

Stumbled upon Tire Town using Google maps and so glad I did! Hugh is who I worked with. I called in and he was able to find me practically a new tire for my Fiat. Once I got my vehicle out there, it took them maybe 20 minutes (on a Saturday) and I was free to go! I might add that they were rather busy at the time and I barely had to wait. I spent $75 for everything. Every place I called before that was charging over $130 not including all the miscellaneous fees. Easy decision on my part. Before I left, Hugh told me that I have about another 6 months of tread with all my other tires. I appreciate the customer care and honesty. I plan on going back when it's time for me to get new tires. Great experience and looking forward to doing busy with them again.
