Horrible customer service. Was told when I brought my car and it's slow and will have you in and out in 20 minutes 45 minutes later they haven't touched my car and said it'll be 10 minutes. 10 minutes later they just started on my car horrible management would not recommend. read more

Slow to get in. Once they got to the car it was quick. But, the person who drove the car around to me after it was done had hands that were black from all the grease- and he didn't bother to either wear gloves or wash his hands before driving my car. So, after getting my car back, I had to go to the nearby Target and buy clorox wipes to get all the grease off the steering wheel- which took four wipes. Absolutely unacceptable and I will not be returning. I can only hope they showed more attention to detail on the actual work than the cleanliness. read more

Took my daughters PT cruiser in for tire replacement on the front two tires. Paid in advance so she could pick it up later that day. When she got it home we noticed only 4/5 bolts were securing tire. there were 5 at drop off and no one mentioned it when she picked up the car. she stopped by the next day after work to ask and was told the bolt crumbled when they took it off. They gave her the number of a repair shop. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect an explanation at time of pick up or even better a call asking how to proceed. I think it's reasonable to have 5 bolts in place when you pick up if they were there when you drop off! read more

Don't go to this location if you want to be serviced within 10-15 minutes of your appointment time. They seem consistently understaffed and it takes a ridiculous amount of time just to get checked in or get your keys back. Line is usually at the door. They need to figure out a more efficient check in/check out process. Then the people working at the front answer the phones instead of helping the people in the store waiting. I had never been to this store before but was blown away by the costumer service I experienced! Friendly staff, clean facility, helped immediately, clear communication of time commitment and services performed, no upsells or pressure, and it even ended up being a free service despite me not being an existing customer. I will definitely be back as this staff absolutely earned my future business! I typically dread having work done on our vehicles since at other mechanics it can be long waits, expensive and questionable work, and condescending staff. My experience was the exact opposite at Discount Tire in Olathe, KS. I could not believe how quick I was in and out and that it was free! DON'T go here. I arrived with a flat tire and dude tried to charge me $170 just to install 1 new tire. $170 for 1 tire? That's ridiculous! Then he tried to negotiate for $150. And of course, the cheapest tire they had was "out of stock". Right. Such a shame. I've used Discount Tire before off Shawnee Mission and I paid $100, which was fine. He tried to charge $170 because my current car has "18" inch tires whereas my previous had "16". Right. I've served as a salesman before, so I know the game, but that was just absolutely ridiculous. Discount Tire at 12203 S Strang Line Rd Olathe Ks is AMAZING! A big thank you to the guys that were working that evening. I called about 30 minutes before the closed bc I had a mail in my tire! Harry answered and was so kind. He said no problem you can come I even if you get here right at close. I got there Just a few minutes before close and they took the best care of me. Gage and Corban took care of my vehicle. They were so professional! I was so grateful bc it was last minute and they got me in and out of there. I met a new friend who was picking up her Tesla. She told me of the great experience she had bringing in her Tesla on 2 different occasions. She said they new everything about a very difficult Tesla. Discount tires is very honest and knowledgeable about all they do. The most impressive thing is they removed the nail and it's FREE! NO CHARGE! I came in to have them check my tire pressure and told them I have filled my air 4 times this week. First put air (my pressure was at 15) the young man sprayed it after he put air and thought about it and said he didn't want me to leave without taking off tire to check it. he found the leak and in an irreparable place. do not bring your car here for a patch up. I brought my car in for two tires with leaks was told one was from a previous patch and would have to purchase 4 new tires because I have awd. I told them to put the spare on and drove off with my tire. come to find out it was a 3 inch nail no where near the previous patches! they just thought I was stupid enough to agree to 4 new tires. so disappointed. Thankfully mauer took my tire this morning first thing and is willing to patch up the little nail hole guess that's why it's free. They'll get money from you somehow! read more

This place is awesome. Bought 4 new tires. Researched and paid online. Took them 30 minutes to install. A week later my son got a car. The tire pressure light was on on the dash. Took the car in and explained the problem. The manager checked the pressure and hooked the car up to his machine remote- cleared the code. Didn't charge us a thing. GREAT SERVICE- WILL BE BACK!!! This discount tire was the best experience I've ever had. I went there to fix a tire with something I had ran over. They let me know that it wasn't fixable, I was bummed about that but they were about to find a good way of getting me 4 new ones instead. They found some Goodyear tires that look good on my Tahoe. I paid more than what I wanted to but for new tires I can't complain about the price! They found some that were on sale for me. They also went the extra step and took care of replacing my spare with one of my other tires with no extra cost. Thanks again gentlemen. I got 2 new tires and they balanced, rotated all 4. After 1 day my other 2 tires that were only a year old n perfect one of them kept going flat each day for 4 days !! I took it back in and they said they had broke the valve stem doing so n they did something else wrong to it, 25 minutes later fixed. Now 3 times I've filled same tire with air after never having any problems with that more expensive tire then what i got from them !!! I called and treated rudely!! I will be going up there and they will be fixing it at no charge no matter what that rude worker told me on the phone !! And what about my time having to go there 3 times because they messed up my tire because the workers in the back yell and scream playing around instead of doing their job !! Discount tires claims to be cheaper than other tire stores, but when I went in to purchase 4 new tires the cheaper tires they claim that they do not have them in stock. I am not even talking about the worst customer service by the name of David Huggett the assistant manager who was not helpful and his professionalism is down to zero, and who doesn't take his job seriously and has no knowledge of tires. I would not even hire him to work at McDonald's. Eventually I saw who I was dealing with and I walked out and went to Tires Plus and got my tires at a better price with the 4th one for free, and excellent customer service. Do yourselves a favor when you want to purchase tires I would suggest to do your research before dealing with this tire store. read more
