They saved me a LOT of money. Olathe Toyota couldn't figure out a problem in my car. These guy did, for $60!!!

After researching tires at exhausting levels (I mean, whyyyyy do we have 5000 options to choose from safety and not sounding like I'm driving a diesel truck at all times), I booked an appointment online for later in the day. The website said I'd get a confirmation (I didn't) or a call if the time didn't work (I didn't). I decided to come in anyway. Upon arrival, I waited ten minutes in the lobby before anyone came in to acknowledge me. I told the rep I was here for an appointment to which he scruffily said "What's the last name?" He found my reservation, typed in a bunch of things and scruffily said, "Sign the screen." I worked through some prompts and he said "Key." indicating it was time to hand him my key. I was planning to wait inside - not the nicest environment - to which he said "probably an hour, hour and a half." I've been here two hours with no updates or acknowledgments of any sort. The power went out at one point. The lobby is just fine, no coffee brewed for those who drink garbage water. It's obvious this place treats business as a transaction only. There was no questions about servicing I might need, no offer to make sure I'm comfortable with the tires I selected and no other customers bringing in cars for drop off while I've been here today. I was in a pinch really needing new tires and being sick of thinking about them. But this is not a business I would revisit. If something happens to these tires, I'll take them somewhere else for repair and repurchase. read more

I had brought my car into another mechanic who uses TiresPlus to do alignment on my car(ha do known this up front I would not have had them do this work). While at Tiresplus overnight my catalytic converter, resonator, and both o2 sensors were stolen plus lots of other exhaust damage. Tires plus says not their problem, but it clearly is they just don't want to own up to it. Tires plus does not care for the vehicles in their care while on their property. But this isn't the only instance of work not being done or done properly. The alignment "supposedly" done does not appear to have been done at all as it still pulls to the right as badly as it did before. So now I'll be bringing it in somewhere else to get the work done right. On an earlier instance, and why I vowed never to bring any vehicle of mine back to them, it was brought in for an oil change and they didn't put any oil back in except one quart. Also, they claimed to have changed the oil filter but they did not. I now do that work myself also because if you want anything done right you have to do it yourself. read more

I dropped my car off for a new set of brakes and rotors 4-5 months ago. Since getting these new brakes, they will not stop squeaking when I brake at low speeds. I gave it some time to see if they would break in and the terrible sound would subside. Sure enough, it did not. Took my vehicle back for the next oil change and explained my issue, hoping they would correct it as they were the ones to have installed them initially. Once time came to pick my vehicle up, they claimed they did not hear any squeaking from my brakes; additionally, the squeak did stop for roughly 1-2 weeks, which I was happy about but found odd as they claimed to have heard no squeak. Not a month later, and my brakes are letting off a terrible sound again. I'm not sure if this is a statement of the quality of the parts they are using, or the quality of the install. Nevertheless, I am very displeased as I've been coming here for a long time. One month ago yesterday, I took my truck to the Tires Plus on Santa Fe and Blackbob in Olathe KS to have a simple front end alignment done. The reason I went there to begin with was because it was after 3pm when I finished replacing my front differential and couldn't use the alignment rack at work. They charged me almost $70 for a front end alignment which is a fair price. During the process of aligning my truck, they rounded one of the passenger side adjustable upper control arm bolts. Instead of putting together a repair estimate, they more or less told me "Sorry about your luck. Bring it back to us after replacing the bolt and we'll fix the alignment." The next morning I drove out to Kansas City and bought several replacement bolts. I took it back to Tires Plus immediately after getting the bolts. They charged me an additional $50 to replace that bolt that THEY rounded off the day before. Here's the kicker... They left my passenger side upper control arm adjustable bolts loose during the alignment. Thinking that I was good to go, I immediately hit the road headed for California. I drove approximately 3700 miles and started hearing a popping noise coming from the front end. I brought it into my shop and that's when I discovered the loose bolts. I tightened everything for the time being. The next day, yesterday, I put it on the alignment rack up at my work. The picture above is what my alignment looked like exactly one month after Tires Plus aligned my truck. Now I am going to have to replace both the adjustable bolts in the passenger upper control arm and realign my truck again because the new bolt that Tires Plus installed is now rounded off again from being left loose. Moral of the story... DO NOT EVER TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO TIRES PLUS. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF AND WILL ONLY CAUSE YOU MORE NEW PROBLEMS. Thanks for reading. read more

Emergency Service Refused! Stopped in at 6:15 on a Wednesday had a tire going flat fast. The young man at the counter refused to sell me a tire. He said they closed in 45 minutes and they were understaffed. The parking lot was empty and there were no people in the lobby. I explained that it was an emergency. He said he was sorry. He said he couldn't get me accommodated in the 45 minutes left. He sent me on my way. I thought emergencies were always accommodated. I have bought from these folks for decades. I had previously had my tires replaced with Tires Plus and it went great. However, the second time that I went there, I had to get two tires replaced and my wheel barring repaired. This was pricier than I thought I would spend that day, but I still got it done. I left the parking lot and then noticed that my left side mirror was SHATTERED. I know that this was NOT a damage that had previously happened before I dropped my car off. I drove right back and the front desk person was helpful. HOWEVER, in looking at the notes, the tech put that this damage was done "previous to service," which was a complete lie. Since the tech and manager were not there, I had to wait until the next day. In speaking with the manager, he assured me that this was not done during the service and made me sound like I was incompetent. He then spoke with his tech...low and behold it had fallen off and he tried to stick it back on WITHOUT TELLING ME..I understand that accidents happen but to lie about it is ridiculous. After a couple of weeks, my mirror was finally replaced and the manager "threw in an oil change" on my account. I then called the customer service line and was told that someone would get back to me and they never did. I will never recommend this place to my friends or family and did not appreciate the lack of respect that was given to customers. read more

I recently had to get 4 new tires and after much research, Tires Plus had the best deal going. I pulled in for my appointment and they were very professional in their service, answered all my questions and, even though they were unexpectedly short staffed that day, they got it done in the time they stated. I didn't feel taken advantage of with the cost or the additional services I requested; oil change and allignment. There was no "well, you need new wiper blades, air filter, fluid flush, and a new battery." I don't appreciate that racket and they didn't pull it with me. As I waited, I also saw how they were treating the various customers that came though, which was always kind and respectful. The waiting room area was nothing special but it was clean. If you wanted to, it's also walking distance to several eating and shopping stores (Wendy's, Fazolli's, Walmart) I would highly recommend this location of Tire Plus. read more

I've been coming to this Tires Plus location since I bought my car in 2017. I'm young and didnt know much about my car or tires and all the attendants here have been so helpful and knowledgable. I've bought 2 sets of tires from here on separate occasions and am currently having one replaced because I ran over a staple. I have never felt cheated, over charged or taken advantage of. I always have to wait in the lobby when my car is being worked on and someone comes in and checks on me constantly to make sure I'm doing alright. The employees are consistent and have always been so nice, and so quick to let me know what's going on with my car and tires. I can't say enough good things about them. read more

I've been here several times for oil changes, tire rotations and alignment. Three years ago I purchased a new set of tires from them as well. My experience has always been positive. The staff is very friendly and I've never felt like they were trying to sell me things I didn't need. I usually schedule an appointment during the day and drop my car off to be picked up later, and depending on the work being done to my car doesn't take more than an hour or two for them to finish. read more

I've never had an experience as bad as this one. I called to enquire about the appropriate tires for my SUV and was told that it would be helpful to book an appointment, which I did. The estimated time was "just over an hour." When I arrived, I was told to expect an hour and a half. Long story short, I was there just under four hours. At no time did they apologize. At no time was I told that they were behind schedule or given an explanation. They did not communicate what was going on or provide guidance as to the fact that I might need to make other arrangements. They offered no concessions even after I confronted them with two outright lies that they told me as to the status of the mechanic working on my car. The problem was not that it was a busy Monday. The problem was Dan. If he had just told me the truth, I could have made adjustments instead of wasting my day watching soap operas. This is a tremendous training opportunity for the leadership at Tires Plus to help elevate the poorly trained sales people on how to properly manage time and provide service to customers when things are running slow. My tire PSI was extremely low and the temp was -5 outside. They offered to fill my tires free of charge. It only took a few minutes, but they made a genuine effort for someone even though they wouldn't profit from it. I had new tires put on my car here in Sept. 2011. I bought every warranty and option they recommended. Fast forward to February 2012. One tire registers low on air, so I go to put air in it. The valve stem breaks in half. I call them. They tell me this isn't covered by any warranty they sell. Okay. I ask if they can fix it. They say yes. I have the car towed to them. They tell me they don't have a new sensor to put in the tire, but they can get one and, until then, they can just put on a new stem. Okay. I sign the paperwork, tell them to call me when the part comes in. Once it does, I take the car in. THEN they tell me there's a charge for the part. I went back through my paperwork - there's nothing about a charge for this piece. And we aren't talking about a couple of dollars. Pricey piece. I totally feel like they took advantage of me on this. Honestly the worst experience I've ever had with any business. Took my brand new 2015 car in for a simple tire repair and got it back and oil on the inside and outside of my car and small scratches on the AC dials. The other employees were all great and helpful, but I suggest the manager cleans up his attitude a bit, especially if he's going to be in customer service. He was so rude the entire time and did not even attempt to listen. They also recommended I purchase a life time tire rotation for my brand new car with barely 1300 miles on it. The service was average. I purchased the Primewell Valera Sport AS Tires. These are the worst tires I've ever had. They are so loud on the road its embarrassing to have passengers in the car. Even the radio cannot drown out the roar coming from these tires which sound more like knobby truck tires. Tires Plus should not sell such an inferior tire. It's Awful read more

These guys are incredibly unprofessional, incompetent, take an extremely long time to do ANYTHING, directly lie to your face, over price their parts and labor, ignore the wishes of the customer and then steal parts from your vehicle and tell you they were recycled...when it turns out they take the parts to the local junk yard and make a profit off of them. I've bought tires for 2 of my vehicles repeatedly at the Tires Plus closest to my residence (Olathe, KS store). The repeat business I've given them is due to my thought that "surely they aren't scamming me". I've worked on cars since I was 16 and am now 53. I know what a bad tire feels like or sounds like when you are driving it down the road. Especially at highway speed, if you feel vibration in your seat, that typically means a rear tire/wheel is out of balance. If you feel vibration in the steering wheel, it means that a front tire/wheel is out of balance. In some cases it could also mean a defect in the tire itself. It could also mean you have not rotated your tires and they are cupping. Some of these are things the vehicle owner is responsible for. And other things are the responsibility of the retailer who sold you the tires and the lifetime warranty. Just be clear on what warranty you purchase covers. I sent my daughter to Tires Plus with a vehicle that has all 4 tires purchased from that location to get the tires re-balanced. She was telling me of vibration at highway speeds of 50-70 MPH. They talked her into an alignment. What??? I bought a lifetime roadhazard and balancing with these tires. These guys definitely prey on anyone who doesn't know much cars. They also talked her into an inspection (fee $$) and gave her a list of services they recommend her do to the car which added up to a possible $1500 or so. Again, what??? They told her the vibration was coming from her front rotors, not the wheels/tires. Hmmmm? How did they determine that without rebalancing the tires? And how many customers have been told they will not rotate your tires because your tires on the rear are "unsafe" to put on the front. Are they talking about the tires I bought from them that are still under a lifetime warranty? Yes. Do not get sucked into this company's lifetime balancing/rotating. They will refuse to rotate if they can sucker you into selling you new tires. For good measure I replaced the rotors and brakes on the front this weekend myself (about $160 for quality parts). I rotated the tires myself and the vibration moved from the front to the rear of the car. That tells me it was the front tires/wheels that need re-balancing. Rotors had nothing to do with the vibration. I've had other service and repairs done there on these same 2 vehicles. It has really a "spin the wheel" guess each time as to whether the work was done well. One repair was on my Dodge Caravan and they replaced my radiator. Drove it on vacation and got to my destination somehow, only to have all the coolant gush out of the bottom radiator hose. The mechanic at Tires Plus had not slid the bottom radiator hose onto the radiator port completely before clamping it. What a pain in the pocket book. Who wants to be on vacation and have to pay for car repair to fix work that was just done to their car? If you find a Tires Plus with better mechanics than the one near my house, you are more fortunate than I. I see people with glowing reviews and almost all of them are for initial sale of tires. They will bend over backwards to get you in the door the first time and love selling your tires. Not sure what else I trust them with. read more

Just went in for an oil change. They called and said I needed a new battery and that mine was about to go out. They urged me to get one NOW and said with hot weather coming up, my car MAY not start. I didn't believe them as my battery was only 16 months old. Took it to 3 different car places that same day and each one said my battery was great! Needed a new pair tires after I lost the front driver side tire. As it was my first experience replacing a tire, I was slightly nervous and uninformed. The mechanic with whom I scheduled my appointment with attempted to convince me that I needed a new pair of ball joints as mine had "excessive play," and would be "dangerous" to drive. Thank goodness my dad, who has worked for Tires Plus in the past, was aware of these scare tactics and advised me against it. The total cost of replacing the tires plus the ball joints would have a been a ludicrous sum of money. As I don't appreciate being taken advantage of, I'll kindly take my business elsewhere. read more
