Let me start by saying I don't know cars. Some part on the underside of my car was dragging down on one side and my seatbelt hook had been slammed into the driver's side door denting the door ajar sensor. This kept the sensor on all the time and was draining the battery. The problem had been dragging on for over a year and I'd already had to get the battery replaced once. The Hyundai dealership couldn't fix it and an independent mechanic couldn't fix it. I had a 30 minute estimate from Pedlar's, and took it in for two hours the same week and they fixed it. Chris is an extremely talented and competent auto repair professional. I took my GMC Yukon XL to him and he diagnosed the issue and provided me a very reasonable quote within minutes. He gave me an accurate timeline for repair and maintained communication throughout the process. He was able to work with the insurance company (doesn't have to be on list provided by company). This was a truly amazing experience! After searching for an Auto Body shop to repair my passenger side mirror, I found Pedlar's. When I say service was fast, it was lighting fast! I contacted them by email on a Monday afternoon and Chris promptly responded. He told me to bring the car in so he could give me a precise estimate regarding my damage. Due to the time, I said I would bring it in the next morning. When I arrived, Chris promptly greeted me and remembered our previous interaction. He gave a quote and confirm if I wanted to drop my car off. At the time I wasn't ready to leave my car. He informed me that he would order the part. He also informed me that he would give me a call when the part came in and that it would be an easy quick fix. I left the shop, Chris called me within 20 minutes to let me know that he ordered the part and it would be in Thursday due to the Wednesday holiday. Nearly, two hours later he called me back saying he had the part and it could be installed same day if I had time to come back. I returned to the shop and my car was ready in under an hour! It looked brand new and Chris had me to test it out before I pulled off the lot. Pedlar's has my future Auto Body needs on lock! I had a friend recommend Pedlar's to me after my car was rear ended. I had to get significant work done to the trunk, bumper, lights....not only was my car done in 4 days, they did a GREAT job. You can't even tell I was in an accident. The prices are reasonable, and fair, and the work was superb. Once they started working on the car and removed the bumper, they saw that they needed a few additional parts that was not originally quoted. They took pictures of the additional parts/work, and sent me a text explaining what needed to be done, why it was necessary, as well as asking approval for the small increase in price. I was in need of body work on my car, never had to deal with finding someone I trusted to do this type of work for me. My daughter suggested I look on Yelp and I selected 3 shops close to my home. Pedlars just happened to be the 1st shop I visited for a quote. Upon arrival I was greeted in a friendly and welcoming manner. We went outside he looked at my car not only where it was hit but all round. After his inspection we went back inside he wrote up the estimate explained what needed to be done and how long it would take. This attention to detail and the ability to explain to me what would be done in terms I could understand won me over. I left knowing this would be where my car would be fixed. However I did visit the other 2 shops and I must say that same Customer service was a not a priority. I came here in panic mode, needing immediate assistance with minor bumper damage to a rental car that I was returning later that day. I spoke to Chris on the phone. He was very helpful and offered to take a look right away to assess the damage and see if he could fix the issue. I arrived ten minutes later and Chris was welcoming and stopped what he was working on to take a look. He was fast, very professional, and honest. We settled on a very reasonable amount and he had the bumper looking 1000x better in less than ten minutes! Consider this shop for auto body work if you want your paint job to look like a 2 year old did it. I had rust on my wheel well right over my passenger rear wheel. I went around and collected estimates and the highest was $650 at Maaco with Pedlar's being $350 or $400. They said $400 if they have to cut out the area and $350 if not. They had my car for two day and when I went to pick it up the mechanic was sitting in the office on a personal phone call. However when I inspected my car and felt roughness where they painted the side bumper over wheel well he agreed to smooth it out. Additionally, the paint job on the circular portion of the wheel inside didnt even look like paint, it looked like caulk that was dripping down the side of the car and it was the worst example of paint that I had ever seen. Not to mention the overspray on my undercarriage. He kept saying "Oh I can take care of that" and my question would be if you can "why hadnt you done it in the two days my car was in your shop". I asked him to call the owner because I was clearly unhappy with the quality of the work. The owner arrived 5 minutes later and he too made it seem like the quality of work was good. I asked if he cut the rust out of just treated it and he said he hadnt cut it out however he still wanted to quote me $400. Rip Off!! Stay Away! read more
