After going to the dealership and not getting an accurate assessment of what might be wrong with my car's AC, I reached out to Jhingo, who was referred by a close friend. We talked on the phone first, where he was attentive to my concerns in trying to pre-diagnose the issue beforehand. After talking with him, I felt comfortable proceeding with him doing the work because he seemed honest, fair and transparent. After taking my car, I get a call back the next day with a full diagnostic reportof what was wrong and why. He assured me the work would be completed and he kept to the schedule of when the car would be ready. I'm happy with the results and my car is kicking out some of the coldest AC. According to Jhingo, I'd have to go to the north pole if I wanted it any colder LOL!!! Unexpectedly, my car engine had a leak that caused some smoking under the hood. I drive a Chevrolet car (2012). I was further away from my dealership so that I could not have it towed but luckily one of my friends was with me and recommended her handy mechanic whose shop was closer than the dealership. Mr. Jhingo not only stayed open to ensure that someone was there to look at my car expeditiously (and on a weekend) but he was responsive, identified the source of the link quickly and gave me a very reasonable quote. Worst service ever. I called in about a job using a used part, the owner says that he will for sure help me. He inquired about the part, I called him back to give him an answer and he still confirmed that this was okay and to bring my car to check it out. I called him AGAIN when I was 15 min away and he confirmed using the used part and being able to open my hood (which i can open) from SLIGHT body damage. DOESN'T EVEN DESERVE ONE STAR!! The worst experience ever!! This mechanic took over 3 months to fix an oil leak in my Subaru Legacy. After that I found a lot of leak coming from my engine again. I brought it back. He hold it for 2 weeks then he said there is an oil leak coming from a hoes back from the turbo, and I never done such a job and I don't know how to change it!!!!!!! After almost 4 months!!!! I am shocked for real. I was driving another car, so I wasn't paying a lot attention to the time. The worst part is not answering my phone calls. Every time, I had to drive to his auto shop to simply ask him about the car updates. Labor cost is so hight. He charged me $800 for valve cover gasket and oil pan gasket. And what you guys will not know is he doesn't fix the cars. He doesn't even know how to fix car. I am not joking right now. And that was the reason for him to spend over 3 months fixing my car. He hires other mechanics daily to fix the cars for him. He only does the easy job such as oil change, break job.. the most lazy mechanic I have ever dealt with!!! read more

I just moved out to the Hyattsville area for an internship. I beat up my car pretty badly and needed to get some work done fast. I damaged the rear bumper, fender, and taillight. Jhingo is an absolute theif! HE RIPPED ME OFF! My car broke down about four months ago and when i finally scrape up a little money to get it fixed i took it to him, every two days he would call me back with some random discovery that "needs" to be fixed. His transparency on pricing was horrible, when i spoke to him and asked about the car parts he kept saying "hold on I have to check it for you" the first price is never right. when i dropped my car off he said it was only 300.00 to get it fixed and after keeping it foe two weeks he charged me 1,300............the messed up part is HE NEVER FIXED MY CAR!! and the same thing that was happening before I took it to him happened two day after he gave it back to me. HE DID NOTHING TO MY CAR JUST TOOK MY MONEY! I am currently filing a civil suit to get my money back being as though I had to go to another Mechanic and pay him $ 450 to do the job Jhing never did.....When i asked him for the receipt of all the "parts he supposedly prchase he couldnt provide anything.
