D and D Tire was the only tire service center that had same day appointment with 0 wait time and had the exact tires I needed. They were efficient and were honest with their prices (comparably to everywhere else). They replaced the tire within 2 hours! Appreciated their friendly demeanor. As an Asian woman who doesn't know much about cars, I'm always scared of getting ripped off (had a few bad experiences at Toyota dealerships where ppl tried to charge me $1000 for oil change...) but the staff at D and D tire are so nice. Did some research, read about Kevin the manager and the shop and decided to take a 30 min drive to go see him. Got there at 8:10AM and was told Kevin wasn't around yet. So I waited about 20 minutes for him instead of talking to someone else. And I'm glad I did! Let me start by saying I'm really picky and super ocd. I do not trust mechanic shops bc there's a lot of shady ones out there. I like to watch the work being done and watch the process. Because I want to make sure they're doing what they say they will do. Kevin is professional, honest, knowledgeable, and most importantly he was kind. That type of personality just plays such a huge role in managing a business and retaining loyal customers. He gave me some options, fair pricing, and a fair return policy if I didn't like the work. I never felt pressured into anything and was able to do things the way I wanted to. He supervised the work being done and jumped in to help when he was needed. I watched as he did it with other mechanics during this time too. This place is HUGE. They have a lot of mufflers and exhaust options and Kevin will definitely work with you. Alfredo who was working with him was nice too. Kevin provided exemplary service and my car turned out how I wanted it to be! They offer a myriad of services from exhaust to repairs to tinting and I am planning to come back to see Kevin for some more work when I am ready. I was extremely satisfied with the cost and quality of the work. Because the shop is very busy, there is a procedure that has to be followed. Call to schedule an estimate, get the estimate, then return to the shop at the time that was scheduled (at the time of the estimate) to get your car repaired. On the plus side, they seem to stick to the schedule. No large, reputable auto body shop is going to let you drop off your car at a moment's notice and get to work on it immediately. There is an enterprise car rental nearby (Hyattsville) that will pick up and dropoff.
