I came here after getting into a little fender bender in DC. The seal on my door was off and created a lot of roadnoise. Prior to coming here I'd been led to believe I might have to replace the whole door to fix it, but they were able to bend the door back into place in less than a minute! As a woman I find that some places are more likely to try to take advantage of you, but they were honest and extremely affordable! You can definitely trust this place to give you a good deal. Johnson's is where you want to go. He and his crew are honest, and have the best prices in the area. He has a lot of his own equipment such as a paint mixer and will gladly use parts you brought or order for you. I have a classic, 30 year old BMW convertible that was rear-ended in a collision. The body shop at the local dealer really didn't want to touch it partly because of the problem with sourcing the parts. Doug let me bring in my parts and gave me an estimate Range for the work. I was really concerned about them matching the color with such an old car especially considering that it had a Maaco respray from 15 years prior. Long story short - paint came out beautifully, body work done with quality craftmanship and the price was at the Lower end of the range. After reading the other reviews and taking the 5 stars into account, I decided to stop by and check the place out. If you are looking for a fancy place this may not be the place for you. But if you are looking for an old school body shop that actually knows how to do body work (as opposed to just replacing everything at high costs) then check this place out. Doug gave me a very fair price and was able to save some money by getting a mirror from a junk yard and repainting it (I was paying out of pocket). Excellent Work! I had some self-inflicted parking lot front end damage to my Honda Civic so wanted to pay out of pocket for the repair. I took it initially to Subway Auto Body and the lady there quoted me $1894 for the repair and stated with certainty that it would be more because she was unable to open the hood because of the fender and there would certainly be more damage. She also said it would take more than a week to repair. I decided to get other quotes and went to Johnson's. Doug came out to look at it. Popped the hood (recall, Subway said there was unseen damage under it). He did his computer hocus pocus and said it would be $1450. I asked how firm the quote was and he looked perplexed and said it would cost $1450. I asked how long it would take and he said two days. Sign me up! Picked up the car before work the morning of the third day and Doug said he got a part cheaper than Honda was going to charge so it was only $1350. Work looks great! Definitely recommend! read more

I was unfortunately involved in an accident through no fault of my own - got t-boned by a distracted driver which left me needing a entire door panel replaced among other work. I chose Johnson's based on a recommendation from my sister who had a good experience with them years ago. They made a stressful situation as seamless as possible. The owner handled supplemental issues with the other driver's insurance company directly and made the whole process as easy as he could for me. It took 2 weeks to get my vehicle back due to a holiday weekend, part delivery delays and the shop being so busy but I'm glad I went there. My vehicle looks great! The owner is a nice guy and stands by his work. I would happily recommend them to anyone needing body work done on their vehicle. read more

A wolf in sheeps clothing. This place is hard to easily spot on route 3. But i am glad my neighboor sent me here. The place is an old Quansit Hut style building with everything you need to fix an autobody. Mr. Johnson and is assistants are hard working and exceptional body repair guys. Johnson's auto body is as good as it gets! 5 stars. They just fixed the clasp and alignment of the trunk on my 2006 chevy cavalier and didnt even charge me a thing. Now that is great. If you are looking for a knowledgeable and honest body shop - I dont think you could do better than going here. In a world where the consumer has to watch out for dishonest and or inept auto repair - its a treasure to find one that is both honest, friendly and very competent.
