I work in the construction industry and as much driving as I do I am bound to get nails and other sharp objects in my tires. Well, today was that day. I am not familiar with the area so I did a search and found an auto place only 1.5 miles away. I called to make sure they plug tires. They do and asked if I could come right away. Bought a truck a few weeks ago, it was dusk. Got to the gas station because they gave it to us on E. Saw damage on the truck. They said you should have said something when you bought it. It was getting dark they did not disclose the damage. We took it back to be repaired, they said since you did not see it before you let the lot we have to charge $300. We dropped the truck off and no one contacted us. I had to tell them to get the truck back to the lot or I was calling the police. They would not tell me where my truck was. My husband went to pick it up. They did nothing but repainted a damaged door and it was the wrong shade of white, it did not match. Then they told me husband to address all the issues it would cost $900. They lie so much they have no idea what they are telling people. Do your own investigation before buying from them. They were incredibly friendly and thorough in their explanation of their costs and provided me with their own recommendations after I described the issues my vehicle was having. I was very impressed with the level of consideration that was taken for someone who wasn't even technically their client. I will definitely be bringing my car in to them in the future. I shopped FOREVER before deciding where to take our Prius for service. It's getting up there in age so I don't bother taking it back to the Toyota dealer any longer. I needed tires and an alignment very badly. A tire had a slow leak and two other tires were worn badly. I phoned this business, Ed answered immediately. He was able to fit an appointment in for us THAT DAY if we got there by one PM. I don't think it was because they don't have any customers - they were busy - but it's because they are efficient and don't want to lose customers! It also helped that he is very active on Yelp, with a video and free quoting service. Not what I would expect but a (pleasant surprise) from a small service center on the side of Forest Drive near the Annapolis Seafood Market. It turned out he said we don't need four tires - only two! He also didn't want to sell us the more expensive tires which aren't worth the price. He didn't try to sell me a brake job or muffler repair or anything - even though I probably could use a brake job in the near future. Our car never drove more smoothly and we love the two new tires on the front. Finally the car is driving without pulling to the right anymore - and it was so easy. My only regret is that we didn't go here sooner... Oh yea, he did an oil change as well and didn't charge for labor - only parts. That's a good deal! I'll be going back for sure. read more

I had a good experience here. They were honest about the initial problem I took it in for, alerted me to small fixes, and told me about some bigger issues that would need work down the line. I found the pricing to be reasonable and transparent. I did put a note on my drop-off paperwork to call me before any work was done and they took to some of the small fixes without calling, but the cost was marginal. Hopefully I won't need any major or unexpected repairs soon but I'll try to bring my car there if physically possible! read more

Just picked up a Honda Civic from Eddie and he is now our mechanic!! Had the car at DarCars of Honda and was told needed to spend an additional $1700.00 to repair broken A/C. Eddie spotted service caps under the hood not put back on and said that indicated sloppy work by someone else. So I drove into Ed's place with a noise an oil light and a check engine light on. Ed was able to repair my oil pump saving it from hurting my engine and saving me over 800 dollars. He was able to drill out the valve by hand remove and replace it. He is a true old school Mechanic. I won't take my car anywhere else from here on out. read more

Took my car in to have new tires put on. They tightened the lug nuts so much that I could not get them off when I needed to change my brake pads. Typical shop practice, I guess, to use an impact wrench that gets them on so tightly you can't get them off yourself, but I've always been able to get them off with a long pipe slid over the lug wrench. These were put on so tight, the pipe started twisting my lug wrench!! This isn't the only place that does this but I guess I expected A Arundel might rise above the average shop's practices. read more

Wow, this place is great! I went in for a simple oil change and tire rotation. I received a call, later this morning, asking whether I'd heard noise when driving at speed. Bottom line, Ed discovered a rear wheel bearing was going bad. I'd wondered why the car seemed noisier than I'd remembered from when it was much newer. I've been coming to this place since I moved to Annapolis 5 years ago. They charge a fair price for their services and are honest guys. Eddie knows just about anything about all different makes/models and his sons work there. Good local business. Recently I had a tire pop on me and had another tire store try to sell me $700 of tires (when you have ABS / trax control replacing 1 tire can screw up the transmission). When I hooked up the spare tire and took it to Eddie, he literally dropped everything, gave a price for tires, but asked to see the existing deflated tire. He found it had a bad valve stem and was not only able to fix it, but balanced it. $40 of time versus $700 for new tires when they all still had around 20,000 miles on them. Honest, Fast, and extremely nice! Family run service center. Took my wifes infinity there to have the mufflers replaced (then had rusted off). They ran out got the parts and did the job in only a few hours. Could not have asked for a better experience.
