I visited the shop when she picked her vehicle up and I asked to see the old part, they supplied the old part and when asked what was wrong with it they said it had cracks in it, I guess they expected me to agree with there diagnostics but it clearly could have gone at least another 150,000 miles based on the condition it was in. this diagnostic would be like telling you to replace your 40,000 mile tires in 5000 miles. Luckily we were approaching our destination. Our son-in-law said the exhaust got damaged. We went to several repair facilities.
