I was so glad to see this spot was still here when I visited Austin again a few weeks ago!…read more I visited this fun store about 5+ years ago when visiting a friend who lives in Texas and I remembered on this trip that they have a table with a bunch of crystals on it. We were nearby having lunch and walked over and it's still there! Tons of beautiful crystals and I was able to get a Rose quartz and two smokey quartz towers - all really good quality for insanely good prices. They have some great vintage clothing inside and some cute accessories and fun items. Great location near to some other cool shops and finds and Hillside Pharmacy for fabulous bites. Super friendly staff who wrapped my gems up with love and care for the trip back to VA. A+

Charm School Vintage is one of my favorite stores in our neighborhood…read more They've carefully curated vintage pieces with western flair (clothing, jewelry, etc). In addition, you'll be able to find items from various eras as far back as the 30s through the 70s. I've seen some stuff there even older than the 30s. Everything is of exceptional quality and condition. Not only do they sell but they buy as well. If you've got vintage wear you'd like to get rid of, try them. They give cash or credit for things they'll buy from folks. As with most stores like this, you'll get more in store credit for your stuff. Fun fact: they've also got a location in Waco.

I was really excited to go thrifting at a few shops around Austin while we're in town, but…read moreunfortunately this experience completely changed that. If you have young kids, I wouldn't recommend bringing them here. As soon as we walked in, my two-year-old accidentally stepped in front of the employee, and her reaction was surprisingly rude. She immediately told me she was overstimulated and doesn't like kids in the store. She said he could sit on the couch but wasn't allowed to walk around. I understand setting boundaries if a child is being disruptive, but we had literally just walked in, and he wasn't misbehaving.... just being a toddler. I explained that he's only two and it's not realistic to expect him to sit still the entire time. After that, she gave me a dirty look and continued to stare at us while I tried to shop, even though I kept him right by my side the whole time. In the end, we decided not to spend our money somewhere that made us feel so unwelcome. It was disappointing, especially since we were looking forward to supporting local shops. Just a heads up for other parents this may not be the most kid-friendly place, and you might not feel comfortable shopping there with little ones.

Be very careful as you open their door. Lovecraft is located in East Austin on 11th St. Their name comes from a 1990's Texas speakeasy that was creative and diverse. Lovecraft is women owned and operated small business with ethically made goods and sustainable brands. They also focus on emerging and new designers. This was my last stop in the boutique trifecta. Lovecraft is where fantasy meets whimsical, while making a lasting statement. Every items feel unique and one of a kind. I envision this store for gifts for the hard to shop for people. The store manager categorized the shop as apothecary (one of those dreamy, sensory‑filled shops with earthy scents to the beautifully crafted herbal blends. Focus is on wellness, ritual, and natural ingredients.) Price ranges from reasonable to expensive.

I love buying things here as gifts for my favorite people. They really have a uniquely curated collection of items. You can find all the scents from candles to diffusers, sprays, perfumes, and more. Top quality merchandise here whether you're buying an accessory piece for your home or spoiling yourself with spa products. Nice staff and prices are what you would expect from.

While there are a lot of t- shirts that cover the topic of "Rock & Roll" such as various bands and musicians (there were t shirts from movies too!) it didn't quite meet what I thought the inventory would be. Some were toy lines that took me down a road of nostalgia that was extremely pleasant while I spotted some other toy lines I could not recall. But in that regard this place is super amazing for it's action figure selection! The staff was friendly and eager to assist which made this a very solid stop!

Anyway, I love Room Service and have been coming here for years. Long before I relocated to Austin from the East Coast. It's part of my North Loop Jaunt where I hit up all my fave places in the neighborhood every few months or so. Prior to relocating, I'd visit Austin twice a year and always made time to stop in. This is one of the most inspiring and well laid out vintage stores ever. You can just get lost for hours. So many ideas for home decor and styling. They've always got a grand selection of MCM (Mid-Century Modern) furniture and accessories. My house is 99% MCM. They've really just got the best collection of everything. Trinkets, knickknacks, patches, light fixtures, dishes, mirrors, art, clothing, records, jewelry...you get my drift. Service is so super friendly and welcoming. I am particularly fond of the pro-trans sign in the entrance window!! Everything they carry is in very good to pristine condition and pricing is reflective. With that said, the prices are extremely fair. I can't recommend Room Service enough. Support local. Support small business. Sustainability. Be creative.

I had a feeling it probably wasn't going to be my kind of shop, and I turned out to be right--but that's not a knock on the store. This is a really cool place filled with things you won't find just anywhere. If you're looking for unique vintage, antique, mid-century modern, or just plain unusual pieces, you'll probably have a great time browsing. Just don't go expecting thrift store prices. Everything is priced much closer to full market value, so this is more of a vintage boutique than a thrift store. I originally stopped in because I'd seen photos online of some beautiful vintage glassware and hoped to find something to add to my collection. Unfortunately, they didn't have anything I was looking for, and what did catch my eye was more than I was willing to spend. I left empty-handed, and it's probably not a store I'll visit again simply because I'm more of a bargain hunter. But if you're looking for distinctive vintage pieces and don't mind paying market prices, Room Service Vintage is definitely worth a visit.

I like that clothing was loosely hung on the racks for ease of perusing the items. Bailey, the sales representative, was super patient and kind. She happily showed me anything I wished to see in the store particularly those pieces that were under lock and key. She also offered to reach out to a jewelry designer for different ring sizes...so kind of her. Garment Modern + Vintage is a great destination vintage aficionados and fashion enthusiasts.
