This is my first time to ever write a Yelp Review, but my experience shopping and purchasing a new glasses at Pearle Vision was so good, that I had to offer a hearty thank you and congratulations on creating the best business model and customer service that I have experienced in a long time. How ironic that my first Yelp review is about glasses, and to be honest I was asked to do so after I recently purchased a pair of glasses , and I love them so much, that I decided to review my recent experience with Pearle . So lets begin. I had gone in a few weeks ago to check out some of the frames because I was WAY overdue for an eye exam and glasses.My husband had taken a look at what chains were covered under his vision plan and Pearle Vision came up. After looking online, I found that there was one very close by our place and decided to check it out. It turns out that I've passed by this place several times and even looked in the window a few times and here it was. The location is kind of small located on corner Milwaukee and Cicero . Anna, one of the staff at Pearle , was very helpful and extremely patient with me. I basically wanted to check out half the frames but she never rushed me. When I came upon a couple of frames I liked, I booked an appointment. It turns out that the Optometrist,which my friend recommended for me - Lara, came in only on certain days and her schedule was fairly booked up so I had to set a time that was a couple of days out. When I came back and had my eye exam with Lara, she was very professional and very polite. Also it turns out that she was very thorough and didn't flinch at all when she was detailing out all the procedures and steps. When it came time to check out frames again, the same staff member that I worked with before gave me a hand. Anna was thoughtful and seemed very well trained and even went so far as to recommend different frames and many lens options to pick based on the visions coverage I had in my current healthcare plan. After making my selection now came the fun part. The price.I will be honest and say that it wasn't cheap.Though the insurance covered a significant amount, the frames carried are not the standard designer brands but you get what you pay for. I love the selection, service and quality.And although she told me that my glasses would be done in 7 days, I was lucky and got them in 3 days! I am usually apprehensive about chains, especially when it involves medical. But the doctor and staff at Pearle Vision located at Six corners were both knowledgeable and helpful. My glasses had broke recently and I needed a new pair, I went to Pearle because they accept my insurance. When I arrived they had my insurance benefits all ready, after filling out some paperwork I was off for some tests before I saw the doctor. I opted for the photos, and boy am I glad I did. They detected a spot on my cornea which turned out to be an early sign of diabetes. I had no idea these types of things could be found during an eye exam. After the tests I was escorted to Dr. Lang who not only eased my fear about the diabetes but recommended a few options for the problems I had been experiencing on computers. When he finished the exam he shook my hand, gave me his card and told me, don't hesitate to call with any problems or concerns. A very nice young lady helped me pick out frames, she gave me her honest opinion on different frame styles and I eventually went with a no line bifocal and a separate pair of computer glasses. My taste tends to stay the same so I would not describe myself as a fashionable guy. Both pairs were current, while still staying within my personnel constraints. I have had several compliments on my new eye wear. I cannot rave enough about the attention and care I was given. Today was my first time getting my eyes professionally checked. End up finding out that I will need glasses. 42 years later and I finally need glasses. At Pearl vision the staff was great. When it came time to pick out the frames I was lost. Didn't know which ones to pick and which ones won't make me look old. Martha and Diana helped me out. They made sure I picked out the right frames that will look good on me. Especially Martha. She gave me her honest and best opinion every time I tried on a frame. Yes, no, too big, turn sideways,etc.... was Marthas answers. She would take a second or two and really looked at me to see if the glasses were just right for me. She would say "I like those" and/or "those look good/nice on you". And she said and did all that with a smile. After so many glasses I finally picked out a pair. I could tell from Marthas smile that she enjoyed helping me out. The doctor was good too. Very friendly. But back to Martha and Diana, they were great. Nothing but smiles from them. Thank you for your help. I really appreciate Martha taking time to help me. Will I go back? Hell yeah I will. You want to be treated right, go to the one on Milwaukee ave. Bysix corners. You never know with whom you're dealing until the going gets rough. That's when people and businesses show their colors. The people and business at Pearle Vision (PV) on Milwaukee Ave. at Six Corners in Chicago proved to me that, after more than a decade of routine, problem-free customer transactions with them, they also put MY needs first when an issue arose. I was late in bringing the issue to their attention which created a problem; they lost the grace period in which they have a warranty from their vendors. Yet Renee, the technician, focused on finding a solution to my problem. The discussion escalated to include Tom, the manager, who showed great technical knowledge and an interest solely in making me satisfied with my glasses. Tom engaged Dr. Gutierrez whose professionalism and grace had kept me coming back for so many years. Together they created a solution more generous than I had hoped for. I felt that I shared some of the responsibility for the issue but each of them put economics aside and focused on making me happy with my glasses. The episode confirmed that my customer loyalty to PV was not misplaced - they had earned it. I am confident that they will continue to put my needs first as I do business with PV during the upcoming decade. read more

I have never been so happy with an eye doctor's branch or office until I recently visited with my children this Pearle Vision. The service, attention and professionalism completely shocked us. From Dr. Lang who took care of my son's eye medical condition to Martha who helped me picked my new glasses and very honestly told me yes or no to the various styles I tried, have me convinced that some people still care for their customers. My son who was diagnosed before with having kerocetonis, doesn't have it at all, he does have a very bad case of astigmatism and has to wear hard contacts. Dr. Lang explained every detail of my son's condition. I also never was advised by the other places we went to before that his condition is covered completely by my insurance, including his contacts which I had to pay full price for (and they are very expensive). My 15 year old daughter, who is very apprehensive when it comes to any doctor, needed to get contacts. We blindly chose this Pearle Vision site from our insurance providers because it was close to our home and convenient with appointments. We were more than pleasantly surprised at the care and detailed information that we received. Martha was extremely helpful in navigating my insurance process and even worked to help me find the best financial solution for getting both contacts and glasses. She also screened my daughter and put her at ease very quickly, not an easy task I will tell you! Dr. Lang completed her eye exam and set her up for her contacts. She went with him on her own and came out with a smile on her face. She said he was really nice--that just doesn't happen with her! Cannot say enough about the staff at Pearle Vision Six Corners. Have been coming to this site for a number of years now and the service is just great. Martha is the gal that always takes care of me in finding and picking out the right frame for my face. Martha goes way above and beyond. I give Martha 5 stars. I love coming to this Pearl Vision. I've been a patient for more than 4 years and I have always been treated with respect. Martha is very patient with me, even when I have a hard time deciding she never has given me a hurry up expression. I take Martha's advice into consideration. Since about 2 years ago I got glasses that she recommended me to get because of my face structure and style I wanted and I loved them and so did everybody else. Had my eye exam done today by Pearl Vision Center on Milwaukee Avenue by six corners. The front office person named sherry was great. Took all my info, and did initial tests with basic machines. Couldn't have been nicer or more polite and engaging. Dr Gutierrez did my comprehensive eye exam, and was polite, thoughtful and engaging also, and made the exam a pleasure.
