Klassic Kraut Dog in the background and Chi-Town 7 Hot Dog up front.

We were sad to lose LBK Pizzeria on Tujunga, but happy that Pearl's Red Hots took over the space. Pearl's Red Hots is a walk-up window to which you can order a variety of hot dog concoctions or create your own. They offer chicken sandwiches, hamburgers, tater tots and onion rings too. If you're familiar with Sonic, Pearl's Red Hots is similar but better. And I do like a quality Sonic location. The owner of Pearl's is no stranger to the block and has been in the restaurant biz for a number of years. He's friendly to chat with, and the staff manning the order/pick-up window have been kind. There are a few outside tables and chairs on Tujunga to enjoy your order but it looks like much of their business is to-go which is what we often do. We order on Pearl's Red Hots to place our order and rip over to pick it up. Street parking available in the area.

Great buns for their hotdogs. Not a big fan of snap dogs, but theirs is light so it was OK. Great chili, great cheese, great coverage. The servers are very nice. My hotdog was definitely fresh because it was as scorching hot as a volcano!

This is an outdoor dining situation. There is some shelter from the sun with shade from nearby trees, but if you plan on eating there you're sitting outside. Full disclosure, I've never been to Chicago, but have tried an Italian beef from Pop ups and Portillo's in Buena Park. The sandwich itself tasted close to Portillos. The bread was nice, wet (from being dipped in the au jus), and chewy. It was not overly soggy, but when you get it baptized your hands will feel oily and wet. The meat was seasoned well, but the giardiniera was fantastic. It was poppy, bright, and the perfect pickled accoutrement to make the sandwich sing. Parking is street, meter, and neighborhood.

Bottled drinks not known to the general public that are great and hard to find!

Finally! A restaurant in Tujunga Village that our community really needs and wants. We've been needing a casual eats place for a long time here: high quality, simple food that won't break the bank and is delicious and casual. Pearl's Red Hots indeed is a gem. They have breakfast until 3 PM, featuring all permutations of breakfast sandwiches and breakfast burritos. They offer eggs, cheese, bacon, sausage, avocado, sweet peppers, shredded beef, vegan sausage, hash browns, lettuce, tomato, and potato. You can pretty much have anything you want for breakfast in a sandwich or burrito or bowl setting. I had the pepper and egg sandwich and it was delicious. Very simple: scrambled eggs, sautéed orange peppers, and a little mayo on a French roll. If I were feeling hungrier and wanted something heavier, I might've gone for the Wicker Park burrito that has slow roasted shredded beef, roasted jalapeño cheese, and giardiniera. For lunch, they offer a wide variety of hot dogs and vegan hot dogs, and Polish sausages on regular and gluten-free buns, corn dogs and veggie corn dogs, burgers, turkey burgers, veggie burgers, pastrami sandwiches, Italian beef sandwiches, tuna melts, chili fries, a cup of chili with onions, and beer battered onion rings. I'm really happy to see that they offer turkey burgers and tuna melts. This gives me great options for when I don't want red meat and when I'm also not in the mood for a veggie burger. If I wanted to make a meal here even lighter, I'm sure I could tailor it by going bunless and asking that it be served on lettuce. Everybody around me looked like they were really enjoying their meals. There was a happy vibe in the air. It's so nice that we now have an option for an eatery that is high-quality but not crazy expensive, the way some other restaurants in the Village are. Their bottled drinks menu offers some hard to find options, such as Dad's diet root beer and chocolate Yoo-Hoo. Also, it's great to finally have a hot dogs and hamburger place! At last! All the employees have very nice manners, both in person and on the phone. I was very impressed. Welcome to the neighborhood, Pearl's!

A good Chicago dog in LA. Finally!

Finally, a place in LA that makes an authentic Chicago dog, green glowing relish and all. The Italian beef is just like Chicago too, I asked for lots of juice, it was a mess (like it's supposed to be) and so good! You order at the window, wait for them to call your name, it's served so hot and fresh! Seating on sidewalk/street. Friendly service!

Didn't know this place existed before searching on Yelp! Stopped in on a Sunday, parking is difficult so we circled and parked down the block but not too far. Ordering is done at the window, there is a pleasant patio with a few umbrellas for shade. The atmosphere is definitely comfortable and inviting. The staff is very friendly and informative, ordered the Pearl Hot Dog that comes with Chili and mustard (no onions by request) on a poppyseed bun. The dog has a nice snap, chili is plentiful and flavorful without being too greasy. The poppyseed bun is definitely soft and gives the impression of being fresh. Also ordered the Vienna Beef Korn Dog and that had a nice crispy deep fried batter with flavorful beef dog inside. Overall we were super pleased and will definitely be back!

Hot dog w kraut and onions ... spectacular!
    Jennifer B.

Big shoes to fill as this was our fave spot for a slice of pizza ... but the hot dogs are the best I've ever had. I expected to like the Italian beef more than the hotdog, but we got both and actually the hotdog was the winner by a long shot.

New Hot Dog shop on the block! They use local, unfrozen, authentic Vienna Beef dogs. They fly in the Polish Dogs, frozen, from Chicago. Only tried the Mustard/Onion/Relish dog, it was excellent. Great snap and flavor! Pricey for a small hot dog, but delicious. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu!

I was given a brief explanation of the type of chili Chili John's serves, and the reason a "base" was needed which in my case I chose spaghetti and beans; others might chose one or the other, nothing or something else completely. The menu also explains the process. I was allowed to try a sample spoon of the spicy chili to see if I wanted a full serving of that or mild. I ended up deciding on medium, which, somehow logically was simply a half mild / half spicy serving . It was fine by me and I thought it was delicious. The ambiance is as to be expected for an establishment that's been around almost a 100 years. It adds to the character, as some might say, including me. I happened to be visiting during Chili John's 80yr anniversary month. Maybe some anniversary specials would have been good. My grandmother, who needs assistance walking, was going next door to get her haircut like she regularly does. Since they couldn't find parking nearby, my grandfather temporarily parked in the handicap spot behind chili Johns so he could help her safely into the salon before moving the car. Instead of simply just asking him to move it, the manager followed them into the salon and waited there, watching them until my grandfather came back outside to move the car. For our side, we shared the loaded tots. They were crispy, well-seasoned, and a great addition to the meal. Service was good overall. The cashier seemed a little serious at first and didn't really greet us, but when we asked to swap out a drink, she was very accommodating and didn't charge us extra. There was a small misunderstanding when I asked about side options, but she quickly explained that another table had the menu and went to grab one for us. She was friendly and helpful throughout the rest of the interaction. The restaurant was clean, which I always appreciate. The atmosphere could use a little improvement, though. It felt a bit stuffy inside, two of the three menu screens weren't working, and it was very quiet with no music playing, which made the dining room feel a little empty. I don't eat at D.H. locations often so I sometimes forget O.o Came in with my boyfriend before a screening at Warner Bros ironically enough and we had a nice pre-movie meal. Their Beyond Brat and SoCal Veggie (hold the aioli for me) are my go-tos for sure, but definitely thinking about an Haus Burger next time as they have impossible. From classic dogs, burgers, tenders, wings, nuggets and sandwiches to plant-based and easily modifiable options D.H. has a good variety. All items are individual so if you want more of a meal you'll have to purchase more. What I didn't know is that the Burbank location actually is priced more reasonable than their neighboring locations in North Hollywood, Northridge, Dog Haus Biergarten in the more northern part of Burbank on the cusp of Sun Valley and Larchmont/Hollywood. I would assume being a chain all the prices are relatively the same, but they actually have the best deals by a couple dollars to cents. I haven't had their impossible nuggets or tenders at this location but will absolutely be tending to those for next time. Everything is well made, the service is excellent, and the entire layout feels inviting. They have gender neutral restrooms, all very clean. Indoor or outdoor seating available. Canned or bottles beverages to grab, not to mention classic fountain style soda/soft drink/tea/lemonade dispenser. You can enjoy music and the latest on goings on their flat screen in the main dining area. There's free Wi-Fi, beer & wine available + their pup friendly, which is always a win in my book. It's somewhat limited seating, but a variety of it from higher tables to lower sit down style. Definitely a fan of this fast casual style chain and location, but do wish they have some dairy and egg free bread/roll nom-options. They have no gluten free bun options as well, so maybe a vegan friendly gluten free option would be the way to go in the future ;) You can get a lettuce wrapped burger, sandwich, sausage or dog and I highly recommend it for their burgers, pretty interesting with their links. Additional they serve breakfast in the forms of burritos, so it might be possible to do it this way as well (with a tortilla). Parking lot is easy, though not very big, and even when full there's street/residential parking close by. We got one of the very first spots, which is a swell way to get off to a great start at this German inspired all American Haus of eats.

Their Stand Burger is juicy perfection--perfectly cooked patty, fresh toppings, and those signature sauces make it stand out from the usual fast-casual places. Tried the Red Curry Chicken Sandwich recently and it was packed with flavor--spicy, savory, and not too heavy. Portions are generous, and the sides (those fries!) are addictive. What really makes it special though is the service. Shoutout to Justin (the manager)--he's super hands-on, friendly, and genuinely cares about making sure everything's great. He checked in on us during our visit, and you can tell the whole team is on point because of that leadership. The place is clean, the vibe is chill and welcoming, and it's consistently impressive every time I come back (this was my 4th or 5th visit). If you're in the Valley craving a killer burger or sandwich with a premium twist, definitely hit up The Stand NoHo. Worth every penny--highly recommend!"

On July 18, 2026, at approximately 5:30 PM, I waited more than 15 minutes for my pickup order even though it was already ready for pickup. I could clearly see that my order was sitting there, but every time I approached an employee, I was completely ignored. I wasn't the only one--there were several delivery drivers waiting as well, and they were also being ignored while completed orders sat on the counter. When I politely pointed out that I had already been waiting a long time and that my order was ready, the employee still refused to hand it to me. Instead, I was left waiting even longer for no apparent reason. This was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. The staff needs to communicate better, treat customers and delivery drivers with respect, and hand out completed orders as soon as they are ready. This experience was a complete waste of time, and I will not be returning.

I had to pop by for the cuteness and good eats Carney's is right along the Sunset Strip and has it's own small, free parking lot ~ a total win. They have seats inside the train car but also a few picnic tables outside for dining, as well. The staff here is superb. So friendly and efficient, the way they get through the always long line and just move so fast is a master class on service. Chili is one of their signature items here which you can get alone, on the burger, on the hot dog, even on the fries! And goodness do they give you a heaping portion. Now I don't love chili so I'm always on their other items. They do patty style burgers which I like and also great hot dogs. They serve them in the softest non-poppy seed bun ever and are enjoyable. I like their cheese fries, too, though I can never finish them. The chocolate chip cookies are $2.50 and so soft & gooey just the way I like them. This is one of my favorite chocolate chip cookies in the Los Angeles. Jonathan Gold named Carney's one of his 99 Essential LA Restaurants. I concur.

The minions and monsters set up is what finally made me pop the cherry with Carney's. I brought my minions (friends) and minion (plushie) with me to enjoy the experience. The restaurant is in an old train car, with the restaurant being inside. You have to take some stairs up and wait in like to order. There is both indoor seating or outdoor seating on ground level. Service is pretty speedy! I ordered a simple cheeseburger and stole some fries off my friends. Of course can't forget the chillis!! I thought the cheeseburger wasn't half bad, it's a solid serving size. A burger is a burger to me. The meat was good, veggies felt fresh and like I mentioned I ate chillis in between to burn my mouth off. Standard service, not overly welcoming or anything. Fast & efficient workers. Restrooms are single use for men & women stalls on the train car level. Men's restroom is ironically larger. Parking on the street with meters or there's a parking lot where you can park & pay as well. Also nothing is or at least seems to be ADA friendly about this restaurant ..as a forewarning.
