This review is for the best server at Peachez, our girl Simone! My best friend and I came here for my birthday, and had the best time. The oxtail and mac&chz egg rolls, the breakfast potatoes, the fried chicken, really everything was F Y R E! Simone treated us as if we were family, serving us with a smile and sharing some personal stories after we told her that we weren't from the area and was looking for things to do. She was great, and the atmosphere of Peachez was great. It was good to know that Peachez is a good place to go, even on a day off. It appeared as if a lot of the staff frequents the restaurant on miscellaneous days. 100000% would love to return for another trip to Peachez! Third Ward is lucky to have this place!

For context we were here on a Saturday evening, in a semi private room for a celebration Parking: horrible...you have no choice but to pay $20 because the place is surrounded by a main street in front and a neighborhood in back that allows no street parking without a permit. Vibe: nice place, very photo ready with loud music. The DJ/Host was on the mic going around keeping everyone lit and dancing all night. But definitely noticed after a couple of hours the same songs were playing again in the rotation Server: our server was nice and attentive as she could be but there are definitely not enough servers for the amount of people that were there so there was long waits in between her checking on us Food/drinks: drinks were way better than the food. Getting anything you order took forever. You want a drink it's coming 20 mins later, you want food that could 30 mins to hour. And the food is just ok. It's look pretty but the flavors are just decent.

Peachez is that spot if you're looking for a solid lunch deal without breaking the bank. Their $10 lunch specials are unbeatable you get good portions, flavorful food, and quick service. I've tried a few items and everything has been fresh and seasoned just right. They also offer $10 hookah during lunch, which is a vibe, and the $7 frozen cocktails are super refreshing and definitely worth it. Plus, the free complimentary parking makes the whole experience even better because... Houston parking can be a headache! If you're looking for an affordable lunch date, solo bite, or mid-day chill spot, Peachez is a great pick. I'll definitely be back.

If I could give zero stars, I would. The food came out TWICE cold. The collard greens dip was just okay, if it was hot, maybe I'd appreciate the flavor more. The wings came out and were cold, along with the mac n cheese that was very salty. I sent the wings back, and never got them, so I left the restaurant hungry. The table next to us sent their egg rolls back TWICE! The music was entirely too loud, you couldn't hear the person across from you. Parking is terrible. Our waitress was nice, I could tell she felt bad, but she also received the mandatory 20% tip. I would NEVER go back to this place. EVER!

We came here for the lunch specials and it did not disappoint!! We had been craving oysters all week and visited two different places the day before that advertised having oysters and they did not :( When we saw Peachez had them, we ran there LMAO! They were big and the flavor was great!! We also had some wings and salmon. Everything we ate was delicious. The oysters were $1 each. And each entree was $10. The drinks were nice and strong, just how we like them. We had the frozens and the sidecars. I believe the lunch specials are Wednesday-Friday. You have to visit! Check their IG for other specials. The service was good. It took some time for the server to assist us, but she was very busy. The music was good! Definitely a vibe in here. It can be loud, but it is a bar/lounge.

Let me start off by saying I loveeee a good brunch with live music, okay! The food was pretty good and the service was nice. I ordered dirty rice and chicken wings & my bestfriend got chicken and waffles with boudin balls. They do only serve brunch items during brunch, so don't fix your mouth of any entrees until "dinner" time. They also give you a complimentary mimosa with your meal. I appreciated that for sure. So if you're in the area, support your local black owned business ! P.S they have valet parking and street parking . Please pay attention to the signs.

Great vibes all around! The music set the perfect tone, the food was absolutely delicious, and the service was truly top tier. Definitely a spot worth coming back to!

This place is decent. The food was good but not great except for the oxtail eggrolls which were VERY good. The waitress was great! The restaurant itself was really nice with nice decor, and I really enjoyed the saxophone player. The hookah was good but only for 30 minutes. Overall good!

This place actually left me speechless and this is coming from a person that talks alot. This particular establishment is housed in the space that once upon a time was called Sugarhill. But is now known as "peachez" I've never patronaged this place before but when I did my Googles the atmosphere gave casual AF. So as you can imagine I was floored when I was told by the door person that I allegedly couldn't come in because of a "dress code" I'm sorry but people are wearing tennis shoes dirty ones at that, ripped up jeans CROCS?? and basic non dressy casual wear into your establishment... so I need to understand what exactly is this "dress code you speak of??? For reference I was wearing a off-white brand crop top, black sheer tights under ripped denim shorts and leather gladiator sandals. Next the security tried to tell me I required a reservation. I'm not exactly sure what the door persons MO was with all the rhetoric but it was a very unserious ridiculous interaction. I definitely will not be back based off that alone. Secondly service is sloooooow as molasses. Once I was seated without a reservation mind you. It took roughly 10 mins for someone to come to the table. The initial experience was so off putting that my friend and I decided to just leave. Also there was music...it was entirely too loud. I had to shout across the table to attempt a conversation with my friend. Absolutely not. Also there is no parking and they offer a shifty valet. No just no. We only attempted to patronage this place for their "happy hour" um it was actually an unhappy hour.

This was my second time here, although the first time I ubered so I wasn't aware of the $30 valet fee but you can park across the street for $20. I called to make reservations was asked to leave a message, so make reservations online, it's faster. The food is good, my friends turkey leg was kinda burnt but we waited about an hour or so, drinks say happy hour but price they charge was full price, the vibes are great but it's not air conditioned so they have fans everywhere. Don't get me started with the flies in the bar area. Also a service charge is ALREADY included on your tab. Music was great!!

Items to try: Oyster Bites, oxtail and Mac egg rolls, smoked greens dip, peach bourbon wings! The appetizers were so delicious we almost didn't order entrees. We went ahead and split the fish and grits and chicken and waffles. The DJ was great! The service was wonderful! Ask to sit in Tren's section!

Please keep in mind that what drew us to this restaurant in the first place was an Instagram post of a happy hour they were offering with $1 oysters, $1 shots and other deals that they had posted an hour before on their page. Parking: We ubered in so did not have to deal with parking, but for those that are driving, they do offer valet. Not sure of the price. Service: This was their biggest downfall. Great food but many areas to improve in service wise. There were only 2 of us in our party and we were sat promptly at one of the high top tables which we appreciated. When our waitress came, we asked about the specials we saw on Instagram which she said were invalid and they weren't doing that day regarding some of the drink specials and she would have to check on the validity of the oyster special. This was very off-putting that whoever was running their social media was not on the same accord as the staff on the clock, seemed like a bait and switch to get customers in the door. Additionally, mid-service, our waitress disappeared several times. At one point we saw her walk outside and she didn't return for about 20-30 minutes as we were waiting for our oysters, wanting to put in an order for more food, etc. I'm not sure if they didn't care since gratuity was included automatically on the bill but not a great experience at all. Food: We ordered the boudin balls, oxtail mac & cheese egg rolls and chargrilled oysters. The boudin balls were my first time having them and I enjoyed the flavor! Not sure about the yum yum type sauce they drizzled on top of both the boudin balls and the egg rolls. The egg rolls also were good. Everything we ordered arrived hot. The oysters were the star of the show in all of their cheesy, buttery goodness but they took about 2 hours to arrive to our table. On Instagram, people were asking what time they were offering the oysters in which the business replied and said all day, however about 30-45 minutes into our wait for them to be done, we were told that they weren't being sold until 7pm by another waitress(it was about 5pm and we had already been waiting almost an hour before being told that). They then said that we would be in the last of the next batch. My oysters came and my friend's still took another 20-30 minutes to come out after mine. We both found a few pearls in our oysters too which I didn't mind, actually thought it was cool, lol. Towards the end of the experience, a manager did come over to ask about how our experience was in which we shared with her our qualms with the wait and she offered us free shots which was the most hospitality we received while dining with them. Overall, I wish the service matched the potential of the food. Ambiance: More of a lounge type vibe with music and a DJ that comes later. Hookah, towers, bottle service, people twerking on the couches -- that type of vibe!

$10 salad & $10 to add shrimp...Salad was small but good Oysters $1 each but they don't tell you that you have to get 12 to order them and they are the size of your pinky nail...Extremely good but small as hell.. Catfish and grits $22 was mid...Food came out ice cold We had 3ppl at our table order the exact same thing and everybody food came out at separate times... My order of oysters came out 6 and then they brought the other 6 out 10-15min later... We waited for utensils & water for our table after iur food already started coming out in bits...

We came during happy hour and it was such a great deal. I ordered the Sweet Like Peach Tree, which was light, refreshing, and perfectly balanced with the peach and ginger. My husband got the Frozen Paloma and it was just as good, super smooth with the right citrus bite. We also shared the churros and they were honestly a must order. Warm, crispy, and paired with Nutella and caramel. What really made the experience stand out though was our bartender, Manny. He was incredibly welcoming from the moment we sat down, had such a great personality, and made the whole experience feel personal. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does, and that kind of service is hard to find. He also told us about their upcoming two year anniversary party on May 3rd with rotating live DJs, which sounds like it will be such a fun time. We will definitely be back. Considering the recent shutter of other places (#2) within the hospitality umbrella, it's not too big of a surprise that Wooster's would also be in the crosshairs. The space was always a nice mix of indoor and outdoor seating, which combined with its dedicated parking lot made this an easy drinking outlet for all kinds of occasions. The intimate indoor space was lovely and well ventilated, and it felt like there wasn't ever a moment where the bar wasn't slammed. The outdoor space was much of the same, with lots of tables and chairs, and even the trendy swing chairs facing the city. The only thing that was a little bit of a liability were those open flame heaters; it would only take on person to accidentally walk into one or trip onto it. For libations, the drinks were well priced, well made, and always potent. I appreciated the aesthetics, as well as the bartenders who made them. The only part that wasn't exciting was the limited food menu, which did its part as munchies for the drink heavy crowd, but was mediocre otherwise. The space is already undergoing the new facelift of a separate concept, one of which I hope will do the area justice, just as much as Wooster's did. ____________ (#1) The Kirby Group. (#2) R.I.P. You are drawn, the way one is drawn to a place that promises honesty with a wink. It wears the posture of a dive but carries itself with intention, a little bohem, a little defiant, and entirely comfortable in its own skin. The bar hums with craft. Cocktails arrive balanced and deliberate, built by hands that understand restraint as much as flair. Nothing shouts. Nothing apologizes. Each glass feels considered, as though the bartender paused just long enough to ask what kind of night you were hoping to have, then answered without speaking. The staff moves easily, quick with wit and generous with attention, treating regulars and first-timers as if both had already earned their place. The decor tells its own quiet rebellion. Mismatched, layered, worn just enough to feel lived in, it carries the sense that stories have been told here and will be told again. And then there are the bathrooms, unisex and unashamed, their walls papered with vintage Playboy centerfolds that celebrate the female form not as spectacle but as art. Tasteful, sexy, unapologetic. A reminder that admiration can exist without crudeness, that beauty does not need permission to be acknowledged. The Two Headed Dog is less a bar than a posture toward the world. It resists neat categories. Not quite dive, not quite cocktail lounge, not quite anything else that could be reduced to a label. It is a place for those who appreciate craft without pretension, sensuality without excess, and atmosphere without artifice. In a city that thrives on reinvention, this bar stands firm, confident enough to be exactly what it is and nothing more.

I ate at Norigami Tuesday night and it was great as were the cocktails served up at the nextdoor bar called Hidden Bar. On Tuesday, I tried the Thai Chili Ginger Margarita ($13) and it was great, complete with a hunk of candied ginger which I "gingerly" consumed throughout my drink experience...see what I did there? Next, I had the Three Dots and a Daiquiri ($13) with Rum, Lime, Velvet Falernum, All Spice and Pineapple and it was very similar to one of my favorite tiki drinks, the Three Dots and a Dash, complete with 3 luxardo cherries. To finish, I had the absolutely incredible Golden Laurel ($16) with Gin, Italicus Bergamot, House Greek Botanical Bitters and Sea Salt. It is equally beautiful served with a clear bay leaf and delicious. Last night, I was guided by the friendly bartender to try the Et Tu Banana" ($15) with Banana Bourbon, Spiced Pear, Creme de Banane, Campari and Citric Acid. I was a little worried about the cocktail being overly banana-y but it wasn't at all. It was a fantastic drink. They even have a selfie ring light on the wall, which is such a fun touch for pictures (because if you didn't take pics, did you even go??) Now--fair warning--we went on a Friday night and it was PACKED. We were lucky enough to find seats, but it was so crowded we could barely talk without yelling, and we were basically shoulder-to-shoulder with the people around us Other than that, it's a really nice spot to grab drinks, hang out with friends, and get some cute content. Would I go again? Yes... just maybe not on a Friday night

I went because this was the only bar open during Labor Day when I had guest visiting. So I would say it's a pretty nice location, considering the fact that it is always consistently open. They had a good menu with different cocktails that were fun and fruity. Otherwise, I did also see people could order coffee at the bar and have different espresso drinks. It looks like the drink that I ordered is also no longer on the menu. The bar prides itself on having a rotating meal changing menu so I think that's a lot of fun when it comes to trying new drinks and new combinations and it truly shows the artistry of the bartender. There was the option of both indoor and outdoor seating. The interior was more of a dimmer, elegant and darker tone. I can see it being pretty classic if you were to go at night time. The bar set up was really beautiful and they had different 2 to 4 seating wooden tables. Overall, the inside would probably only fit around 20 people. I was very sad because we couldn't sit outside. The day before it had rained so every outdoor seating was wet. But I was told that they had a beautiful seating outside with a garden and a pool. Service was good. The bartender came out of the bar to take orders, give menus and give you the check. I will say that it got really busy at the end and it took a while to get our check. There's only one or two bartenders working at one time so if there's multiple people with different drinks that are ordered, it will take a little bit longer. There is both valet parking and also street parking in the neighborhood nearby.

Not hard to find, it's located to the right as you walk in. What brought us here is that it's listed as one of the top 50 bars in Houston in Houstonia Magazine. Service (3/5): While we had a waitress, she was slow to greet us and slow to check up on us. It's a small bar and there isn't a ton of seating so it's not like she was overwhelmed. For a fancy hotel, you expect better. Maybe sitting at the bar is better than sitting at some seats as we did. Ambiance (4/5): The Colombe d'Or is a beautiful hotel and Bar No. 3 reflects that. It's an elegant spot to grab a drink, although small. Food (N/A): While there are expensive items on the menu, I had dinner earlier that night so I was on a liquid diet. Drinks (3/5): Bar No. 3 is known for its cocktails so I focused on the cocktail list. The list isn't large but it features a nice selection. Like the food, you're going to pay a premium. I enjoyed my adult beverage but felt like it was a bit overpriced. Hitting up hotel bars isn't a common occurrence in Houston unless you're a traveler. For Bar No. 3 to be the only hotel bar on Houstonia's top 50 is a feat in itself.
