Our server, Camille, took our order and then would disappear for 30+ minutes at a time. At one point, when we asked where she had been, she simply said she was "walking around." Her overall approach to serving us felt extremely nonchalant and inattentive. The atmosphere also made us feel as though the level of attention you receive depends on how much you're spending--particularly whether you're purchasing bottles. The servers seemed more focused on creating a bottle-service experience than providing attentive restaurant service. It gave the evening a very transactional, "pay for attention" feeling rather than genuine hospitality. What really sealed the experience for us happened after we had already paid our bill. A host approached our table and essentially said, "Can you leave now? We need to seat someone right now." There was no gracious transition, no "thank you for dining with us," and no polite explanation--just an abrupt request to leave. For a restaurant with such a beautiful ambiance and good food, the service and hospitality were incredibly disappointing. Guests should feel welcomed and valued from the moment they sit down until the moment they leave, regardless of whether they're ordering bottles.

The drink was overall refreshing and tasty to her standards. She let me know it was quite strong also, which she prefers. She also ordered the kale Caesar and really enjoyed it. It was perfectly sauced to her liking. Service was okay. Looks like there was only 2 people working for a midday shift around 2 o clock. But no complaints. Salad and drinks came out pretty quickly. Cigars are sold here too and they have cutters and plenty of torch lighters to spark them up. Outside on their patio deck has plenty of seating with some of those heaters in case you houstonians can't handle the cold. Only gripe is I wish they had a larger wine selection as they only have bordeuax or a red blend. Not sure if they serve white wines either. But there's wine bars for that. At that point, the atmosphere had become uncomfortable enough that we decided to simply leave. I understand that everyone can have a difficult or stressful day, especially working in hospitality, and I don't expect anyone to be cheerful every second of their shift. However, guests shouldn't be made to feel like an inconvenience simply for taking a moment to decide where they would prefer to sit. It was disappointing because we genuinely came in excited to eat and try the steak, but the interaction at the door made us feel unwelcome before we ever made it to a table. Hopefully this was an isolated experience, because it was a shame to leave what otherwise looked like a great establishment over something that could have been handled with a little more patience and professionalism.
