Crispy Classic Chicken Sandwich & Waffle Fries. GOOD. The Chicken Sandwich was good in size and topped with pickles and PDQ Sauce. The sauce was mildly spicy but unique in taste. Also purchased a side order of Waffle Fries which are better than Crinkle-Cut Fries. These were crispy and crunchy not being soggy or greasy at all. Unlike CHIK-FIL-A, which happened to have a location down the block, the traffic in the area wasn't a nuisance. Must say that I prefer PDQ over CHIK-FIL-A when it comes to the quality and taste of their food. The customer service is also better. Also found PDQ to be better than the ORLANDO based HUEY MAGOO'S which also specializes in Chicken. Most PDQ locations are in FLORIDA numbering around 50 restaurants with their headquarters in the TAMPA area. In the NYC area there are 2 PDQ locations on LONG ISLAND. Ohhhh man, I don't know what fog I was living in not knowing about this fast food chain already, or why it took me so long to finally get to this location after having passed it so many times. Anyway, I made it and at the perfect time. It's September, which means it's officially Fall season, which means it's officially......PUMPKIN season! I was going here for some good chicken, but when I walked through the door and saw their special Fall menu, I became even more intrigued. PDQ is a fast food chicken chain. It's along the Chick-fil-A lines of higher quality chicken, in the form of nuggets, tenders, sandwiches and variations of sides and drinks that perfectly accompany the aforementioned. For their Fall menu (see pic) they're featuring a fried turkey sandwich topped with cranberry sauce, sweet potato waffle fries with a spicy marshmallow sauce dip, and......a pumpkin spice milkshake (Starbucks, you have changed September forever)!! You get the whole meal for a fair $10, and it's way more than enough than you should even be able to handle. The sandwich was amazingly delicious. There was a cream sauce on it along with the cranberry sauce that added such good flavor and a kick. Fries were great as expected, I still haven't tasted a bad set of sweet potato fries anywhere. And these just had the right crisp and addition of salt to perk up the sweet potato. Then the pumpkin shake was a definite winner, and had added flavor with the powdered spice on top of the whipped cream. PDQ was super clean inside, modern looking, and the service was extremely friendly. Their fast food counterpart (mentioned before) really started something with the kind and hospitable fast food service, and I see PDQ has picked up on that too. I tried PDQ once at a Yelp event. I remember we sampled a bunch of stuff but mostly the stuff that was best was the unhealthy stuff so I didn't come back but the other day my friend treated me for lunch as she got take out from here. I ended up having their Classic Salad; it has grilled chicken, cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers and I picked the Lemon Chile Vinaigrette. I have to admit, I was glad to learn that the salad was really good too. My husband got their Grilled Chicken Sandwich which he said he liked but I was really surprised it was 5 dollars since it was on the small side. He also ordered a side of Broccoli since he thought it'd be healthier. He said the menu says steamed and seasoned but he said it tasted like it was buttered so not really sure how healthy it really was. He said he almost ordered a side of apple slices but turns out it comes with toffee or caramel dipping sauce so not so healthy either. Been to PDQ a handful of times and have enjoyed each meal, but this one was really really good. I tried the seasonal Turkey Sandwich, with consists of a double stacked really crispy turkey cutlet, with cranberry spread and stuffing flavored mayo, lettuce on a brioche bun. I also got the sweet potato waffle fries with the spiced marshmallow dipping sauce. This sandwich was different, unlike any other fast-food sandwich I've had before and it as delicious. I was really impressed with this one and I was also sad when it was gone as it tasted so good. The sweet potato waffles fries were also really tasty, very crispy and the spiced marshmallow dipping sauce was a nice addition as well. How did these places get the reviews that they do is everyone's palette like ruined from Covid or something obviously to this place is really good. It would be packed during the time Chick-fil-A is closed on the Sunday, which is when I went but it wasn't packed which made me suspicious being that they brag about how great they are. I got a chicken combo with french fries that tasted like they were either so stale or overdone but I thought I was gonna break my teeth and a chicken sandwich was juicy you had no taste and look like 100 different pieces of chicken so I threw most of it out because it made me nauseous. While moving my son to FAU we stopped in at PDQ. What a great break we had, Chef Michael greeted us as we walked up. He then took our order and answered a bunch of questions. When our order was delivered there was also an added surprise of three samples of their milkshakes. Our sandwiches were cooked properly and were delicious. I had the buffalo chicken and my chicken piece was large that I waked up to grab a form. Chef Michael walked towards me and called me by name and asked how my lunch was. Being called by my name makes me feel really welcome. As we ate it started to rain which is a daily occurrence in Florida these days. I was happy that we were warm and dry inside. The first PDQ I ever saw was in Orlando, and since then they've been slowly popping up all over south Florida. Going in the PDQ of Deerfield today, there was plenty of seating both inside and out. I just ordered a Spicy Chicken sandwhich combo with waffle fries for around $9.51. Moving right into today's review, the quality in PDQ certainly shined today! The sandwhich was Crunchy, well seasoned, and very tender. The fries were out of this world, being perfectly crisp to the bite, and spiced just right! Also, the service was impeccable, as my food arrived less than 2 minutes when I ordered (WOW). Moreover, I like that PDQ, unlike other chicken spots, doesn't limit you to the amount of sauces you can have, AND they are made in house! My only complaint is that the prices are above average in contrast to the market; but overall, the food at PDQ is very good hands down! read more

This location wasn't that norm. The lady had no idea where I was at and gave up trying to find me though I was right behind her saying, "Here!" On top of that, she just didn't care regarding the normal service. Didn't greet me, and when I came back to order a second-order (left my tray at the table) another person tried to clean it off to which I abruptly advised them I was still using that, I got an awkward stare down and she turned to another employee and laughed. This PDQ is so good. I can honestly say that fries and chicken aren't normally my thing, but my family likes it so it's been a local go to for our small family events. The website is very easy to order through. The staff is friendly when you pick it up. The orders are packed as ordered (kinda unheard of these days.) But, I'm particularly impressed with this order because my mom has a lot of allergies. We have to be careful and I placed the order with no sauces just to be 10000% sure they wouldn't accidentally be placed on the food instead of the side. I really wish I had a pdq closer to my house. It's one of my top favorite fast food places ever. Their chicken is always so fresh and their sandwiches are so good! I tried the turkey sandwich from the fall edition menu. It was really good!! Super crispy and fresh. The "spiced" marshmallow dip was my favorite!! So good. The best experience I've ever had at a fast food place in all my years of existence. The guy taking our order on dec 21,2020 was fantastic. Surprised I have yet to write a review for this PDQ! My family and I grab dinner here on probably a weekly basis now. It's just too easy and too good! The best thing about PDQ is that they have food that my toddler actually wants to eat (he's a real oddball- he really only likes vegetables). PDQ has grilled chicken as an entree for kids with broccoli as a side! I wouldn't be surprised if my kid was the only one that ever orders this meal lol. My husband and I go for either the sandwich meals or the tender meals. Right now I'm really digging the crispy chicken sandwich meal with sweet potato fries (seasonal). Their sauces are really great too. I put honey mustard, sweet sriracha, and creamy garlic all on my sandwich- sounds like a lot or maybe even gross, but I promise, it's so good! The sweet potato fries come with an amazing marshmallow sauce. Their shakes are also really good too. This location is probably the best that I have been to in terms of service. Got the Pimento Crunch. Hadn't had it yet so had to try. I like the presentation and the sandwhich looks superb. Not mushed down or unlike the image. This sandwhich looks as advertised. Only mildly spicy which is good enough for me. The sauce on the sandwich has that pimento spicy flavor and the crunch comes from the fried chicken. It's delicious and not too greasy either. It's a lot and at the writing of this I couldn't eat the whole sandwhich. I also got zucchini fries for $1.99 more which brought total to $12.59 so not bad for a meal that won't leave me hungry. read more

Place curbed side order today . Order was supposed to be ready after I texted here . Had to wait 5 minutes still just for the girl to have to turn around and go get my lemonade . I have heard of pdq many times but never gave it a try. One of my best friends told me she loves it more than chik fil a so today i decided to give it try and see what this is about. First of the service was great and when i told the lady taking my order it was my first time she said she would give me one sauce of each for me to try! My friend recommended the honey butter chicken and with a side of honey mustard. The sandwich was definitely good and loved the taste! The fries could have been better they were way too over cooked most of them were hard. My favorite sauce i think is the buffalo blue. I'd definitely come back here read more

After a day of shopping I was in the mood for a nice chicken sandwich however it occurred to me that it was Sunday. After some quick google searches later I came across PDQ and thought I'd give it a try. I haven't had PDQ in YEARS, so I didn't really remember what it tasted like. I got a crispy chicken sandwich meal with waffle fries and an Arnold Palmer with unsweetened iced tea. The first thing I ate were the fries and my goodness were they CRISPY! Nicely seasoned and went well with the garlic sauce. Next, I went for my sandwich. The chicken was super juicy, the bun soft and plump, and the pickles had a great crunch. The only thing I will say is I think the seasoning blend for the chicken could have a little more zing to it but overall very good. AMAZING!!! The food here is out of this world, and we easily go here 2 times a week because of our work schedule. Simple food, friendly people, and a great dine-in experience. That's how I'd summarize PDQ in one line. If you like fried chicken, this is a must-try. They have sandwiches, tenders, and nuggets. I like the tenders the best. The sauces are extra special. Try the garlic sauce if you want to know which one I find to be the best. For fast food it's really great. Everything I've had there has been fresh and good from salads to chicken. The sauces on the side are pretty good too. One thing I like about these restaurants is the way they have a sink for you to wash your hands out in the public space. Oops, I cheated on Chick-fil-A. I had a great experience here all around, from the food, service, to the cleanliness. The menu is simple: chicken tenders, nuggets, sandwiches, or salads, but more experimental than Chick, for there are more options. For example, there are way more types of sandwiches and salads available and sides like loaded tots and esquites. My mom was curious about the corn and it given to us for free (yes, it was good). Their sauces don't beat Chick's for me, but they have some options. They have a Coca Cola freestyle machine which is always great for options. I got sweet siracha and chipotle bbq, i wasn't impressed and it was hard to get more than 1 flavor from the cashier. I had to ask times before she handed me the right sauces.
