I stopped by this PDQ location to redeem a free meal offer that I had been holding on to for weeks. There were a few people dining inside and more steadily coming in to place an order. I was cordially greeted by an employee who took my order for a honey butter chicken sandwich meal, consisting of waffle fries, a beverage, and a side of honey mustard. Within a few minutes I was handed my order. The chicken sandwich was hot and well-prepared, but sadly it did not wow my taste buds. For me it just lacked flavor. The waffle fries were not as hot as I would've liked them to be, and its texture was a bit hard. Its hard for fast food to earn a straight 5 star review in todays day but they did it. What originally looked like burnt dry tenders turned out to be super moist and deliciously seasoned heaven. Ive always had a soft spot for long cylindrical shaped food but this warm one was both juicy and crisp. Fried to perfection, its hardly greasy but cooked just right. What turned a 4 into a 5 is their sauces and dring station. I went with the buffalo blue sauce and it tastes as youd picture it. Light chunks in a creamy sugary sauce. The waffle fries didnt make or break the meal but a great addition. For $10 for 3 large logs, fries de waffle, and a drink you can't beat it. The other sauces sounded good, they offered ketchup mustard and mayo packs on top of their home made stuff. They delivered food to the table and offered extra sauce if needed. Food was its usual quality, however, for the first time customer service was an issue. Several month ago they added two self service kiosks to alleviate order line build up...today there was only one lady standing at one of the registers having finished her ordering and was chatting with a manager. No one stepped up to take our order, and I looked over to the manager who seemed to have been the one assisting the aforementioned lady. The guy made eye contact with me and stepped away from the counter in order to finish his conversation. We stood there a couple of more minutes and then moved to a self service kiosk. I didn't say anything as I was now getting angry and didn't want to speak disrespectfully to him...even though it was very poor customer service on his part. Assuming some other staff member might have been absent from their station, I'm sure protocol would've been to either call someone else to provide service or say that he'll be with us in just a moment. That didn't happen though, nor did it get the usual receipt with the PDQ survey request...perhaps it was just a coincidence, or maybe it was an effort to exclude my input as I had a disgruntled look on my face for sure and was sharing my consternation with my wife. Stopped in for first time to satisfy my fried chicken need. Other places I like for comparison, are Raising Canes and Bud's Chicken (both in Boynton Beach, FL). We dined in. You order of a kiosk screen, take your specified cup for self-serve soda (if purchased), and have a seat. Good was brought to us (they call your name). The young group of men behind the counter were hustling and moving seamlessly and the place was running like clockwork. The breaded deep fried chicken was hot off the presses. The batter was crispy but not too battered. The chicken tender was more meat than breading. Fries were decent waffle fries. Mac and cheese was great with the real grated cheese (looked like Colby and Cheddar) and real bacon. Garlic bread was as expected and decent. I loved the Coca-Cola self help machines (I love the choices). The sink to wash your finger lickin' fingers clean afterwards is an adorable idea. The water was warm and the soap was not el-cheapo soap (Yeardley lavender soap). My only recommendation is to put the Mac N Cheese in something other than the toxic plastic container. Find a comparable paper option. I dislike hot foods served in plastic or styrofoam especially in such a thoughtful establishment. Same for to-go containers. Plastic containers and sizzling hot food out of a fryer don't mix. Overall great experience for first time! Better than I thought it would be... starving as I came into town to pick up our dogs from the boarder... thought I would stop here as it was the quickest and closest fast food place (which I found on Yelp btw)... I was pleasantly surprised. Service was quick and friendly. Lots of good stuff on the menu. And, I loved the packaging... ok, so it's a lot of boxes which you're just going to tear into to get to the food, but presentation is like 40% of what you think your meal is going to taste like before you even eat it, so bravo on that. I liked everything I ate. I think the only reason I took a point off was that the shake was a little more on the milky than the ice creamy side. Great flavor but I like a nice thick rich shake. We love PDQ!! Atlanta native here so I'm a Zaxby's girl and I also love Raising Canes. I never heard of PDQ and the place looks so unassuming so I never thought to go. Their chicken fingers and sandwiches are delicious. Some of the best restaurant sauces I've ever had. Personal favorites: honey butter chicken sandwich, blue Buffalo sandwich, buffalo sauce, honey mustard and honey barbeque. I also live the bottled Cheerwine! The service is always fast and friendly. I visited PDQ on May 24, 2022. The service and atmosphere are fine, but it is a little surprising that it hasn't changed in years. The food is still good, but it is a bit of a bummer that the bowls, some salads, and peanutbutter cookies have been discontinued for years. I understand that they likely didn't sell and the supply chain is challenged currently, so they were likely nixed as a result. PDQ is still worth a visit every once and awhile, but that fact that my favorite items no long exist on the menu is unencouaging to take a somewhat longer drive to visit. We popped in for lunch today with kids and downloaded the app for rewards, and the wife loves these programs. Took a couple minutes and seating area was relatively clean. The communal sink was still present however NO English Lavender soap was present. --- that was their thing in past ! We ordered some tender meals and a couple sandwiches. Kids got spicy versions of each and one thought it was light and other felt a little more heat. They love dipping their fries in Buffalo Blue sauce and the Creamy Garlic too. They thought the garlic sauce changed and was sweeter. Only thing noted is that there are no sauces available for clients use directly, likely a decision made during Covid. Employees were nice and delivered meals to each person, or carried their tray to their seat which was nice for a fast food type business. Pricing was about 10 bucks a person overall. I'm surprising myself by liking a fast food chain. This is the 3rd outlet I've been to ever. My first time was with family in Tampa and it was okay. I went not long ago to a branch in Pompano Beach and tried their fried chicken sandwich and really like it. I liked it enough to join their loyalty program. I'd seen recent ads for their seasonal turkey sandwich and decided I wanted to try it. One of my friends had done so, but felt there was too much sage spice in it. Sage is not an easy spice to love. It's strong and aromatic. I admit I didn't like it until I recently had some sage sausage in North Carolina last year. Since then, I've been a convert -- even buying some sage for the very first time for my home shelf. It was pouring rain so although I'd planned on dining inside, I had to go through the drive through, instead, and take my turkey sandwich home. You really could smell the aroma of the sage spice through the bag. My sandwich was still piping hot when I got home. Two large breaded and fried turkey white meat pieces with whole berry cranberry sauce on each piece with a leaf of lettuce between two bun pieces. This is people dedicated to quality, that's what PDQ stands for. I had a Caesar salad with chicken. It was very fresh and good, filling too. I had blue cheese rather than Caesar and the dressing on a scale of 1-10 was a 6/7. Not the greatest but ok. The dressing can make or break even a good salad. The credit card slider you apparently have to press the green button before you insert your card but the cashier didn't inform me so my first try was not approved. Maybe if he had mentioned it that would have been better. The soda machines there were two...one seemed to have no selections available...well at least the first three that I tried so I moved to the next one. No sign on it, just read not available when I chose something. They do bring your order to you here which is nice and have a hand washing sink out by the beverages which I think is excellent. read more

We got a grilled sandwich, a spicy chicken sandwich, crispy tenders and a Mediterranean salad with grilled nuggets. We also got the fries and parm broccoli. The food was really tasty, fresh and served hot. It was much better than I expected and actually, I think their crispy chicken is superior to Chick Fil A! Service was pleasant and efficient. My first time at PDQ... NOT impressed at all. Actually, dissatisfied. When I went through the Drive-Thru. I was trying to figure out what I would like to order, which was some kind of chicken sandwich. I didn't recall seeing any prices on the board. I had no choice because I was running late for work and I couldn't just go to any other location or establishment. The only thing I was hoping for, was the sandwich had better be good, good size and worth the money?!? I received a very small sandwich and not appetizing at all. I just couldn't believe the price on this SMALL sandwich?!? Thank God I didn't order a full meal. That would probably come out to $20.00 or more ?!? My first time here and Woah! Once you walk in there is a handwashing station which apparently has always been there. Everyone needs to get one because it is so nice and refreshing. This place reminds me of the set up at chipotle, Bolay, and others. There is a large menu before you get to the cashier to place your order. Then you pick a seat and they bring the food to you. The quality of food is high and the portions are small. The food We ordered two burgers and the sauces are AMAZING! French fries and a milkshake. Everything tasted great and if you had to compare with other chicken offering establishments I think it's equal. If you compare the sauces then it's a matter of preference. The service is high too, so the only difference would be your preference. The price seems to be pretty similar. The calorie count for all options is high so anyone counting that may be frustrated with the options. Outside of that, if you are looking for a new chain to check out with delicious sauces and fresh meat. This is a good place to check out. The customer service at this place is always a delight. Briana had assisted my bf and I with our order and guiding us to what would be her preferred choices. I was indifferent about nuggets or tenders but the tenders filled me up and I couldn't eat my entire meal (trust me I have a mean appetite). The food came out fresh with lightly breaded seasoned tenders in both of our meals. The only thing I wasn't a fun of was the Mac n cheese. I love a good Mac n' cheese but it was your traditional Mac n' cheese with some panko on top. I have had wayyy better for instance Popeyes. Aside from that we got to try all the sauces and their honey bbq seemed to pair best. We were not a fan of the PDQ sauce it was a bit bland.
