Furthermore, I have frequently encountered issues with item availability; for instance, chimichurri sauce is NEVER available when I order skirt steak, and there is no mojo provided for the yuca, NEVER. The most basic items are not never replenished when they run out because their to damn lazy to make it and the current sauce is commercialized shit! I've gone back like an idiot in hopes of it getting better, but it's all complete shit. I love Pollo tropical...their chicken is usually moist and well marinated. This last time, I ordered via the APP and I love that my food was ready when I got to the restaurant. I was going to do take out, but I was so hungry, I ended up eating my food in the restaurant. The chicken was warm and delicious. I stopped by just to grab some yuca fries. We used the drive-thru, so I couldn't see the inside ambiance, but the service was consistently poor. I tried ordering a frozen mango tropichiller from their menu and was told, "we don't sell that here," even though it was listed. There was little acknowledgment or courtesy overall. I asked for a sauce for the yuca fries and honestly I wasn't sure if the attendant heard my request until she handed me the sauce. I come to this pollo 2/3 times a week and always have some kind of issue. The food is always good but the service is terrible. They are ALWAYS rude and today was too much. The shorter black lady or gentleman, I don't want to assume her gender, that took my order acted confused when I asked for sauce on top of my bowl. Said it couldn't be done. I eat here a lot so i know they can do it and always do when I ask. I come here pretty often as it's very close to my house. I'd say I frequent this location roughly once or twice every couple weeks for the past 4 months. I always use the drive through. They're always quick to deliver my food and always ask if I'd like any sauce, which they are never out of (when I'm there at least). The quality of the food is great for a fast food joint. This is the closest Pollo Tropical to my job so I come here pretty often. I usually get down and order from inside but today I ordered from the drive through. I ordered a 1/4 chicken with two extra bread rolls. When I got to work and opened my plate all I saw was the smallest piece of thigh I have ever seen and one piece of bread. NO BEANS AND NO RICE. So I decided to drive back and go inside to get my rice and beans. The cashier was super nice and handed the plate to one of the cooks who proceeded to question why we were getting rice and beans. The flame broiled chicken is moist and flavorful and the staff is very helpful and attentive. I literally eat the half baked chicken signature platter at least once per day.
