If you didn't know about this spot, you might easily pass by without a second glance. Scozzafava's serves up authentic, classic Italian sandwiches that just slap. They use a soft sesame seed bun, which probably is the most unique part of the sandwich. For their marinara sandwiches, I wish they used a thicker bun to better absorb all the sauce. The sesame bun didn't keep its integrity, sadly. The meatball marinara was glorious! Slightly spicy, super moist meatballs, slightly sweet marinara, and perfectly paired with bitterness of the rapini. Don't forget the cheese pull! We also grabbed the classic Italian deli, which was scrumptious and very filling. You can't go wrong with either option, in my opinion.

Very flavorful with a great marina sauce to balance the meatballs. Spice level was mild. If you are very sensitive to spice, this may not be for you. Beef Dip 10/10! Tender meat and flavorful rosemary au jus. Can't complain. Both sandwiches were a good size to be full. The bread was the best part: it was very soft and plush to soak up all the sauce and flavor in without getting soggy.

So when I was told that Sate sub had excellent food and decent bubble tea, I had to check it out! First of all, the food is super delicious. For under 10 (more like under 8) you can get a massive amount of food and a drink. The Bubble Tea is decent, but they only have pearls. They use frozen fruit, and once when I asked them to combine different flavours together for me they did it (although they asked me why, and seemed a little put out by my combination. But they did it no problem, which is what counts. What evs, it was super tasty). The restaurant itself is super tiny, and pretty crowded, although they've managed to squeeze in a couple tables. I don't think I would do a lunch date here, that's for sure. But the food is stand out, so it is definitely worth getting it to go.

We had the beef cheek bennie, side salad, fries with salmon skin salt and garlic aioli and the Longanisa Eggie. All of it was delicious, came on time and was SO DECADENT! I highly recommend the beef cheek bennie- it was rich, packed with flavour and everything in it was a perfect compliment. The Longanisa eggie was also fantastic and the Longanisa itself taste homemade. The fries were perfectly cooked and so great - lots of umami. Garlic aioli was great. Service was also fantastic - everyone was friendly, and we were promptly seated. Highly recommend if you're looking for a GREAT breakfast!
