From the moment we entered, as Hispanics we felt as though we were being closely watched and followed throughout the store in a way that made us uncomfortable. We had no large bags or items with us--just a wallet--yet we were treated with a level of suspicion that did not seem warranted. At the same time, another customer (take a gander) in the store, who had a large backpack, which looked like it could fit an arsenal was able to shop freely without the same level of attention. The contrast in how we were treated was noticeable and concerning. Prior to visiting, I had already spoken with someone about purchasing a higher-priced item. However, due to the way we were treated during our visit, my husband and I decided not to move forward with the purchase. Instead, we chose to leave and spend our money elsewhere. We ended up going to a nearby business (Ss donuts) where we experienced welcoming and respectful service, which only highlighted the difference. The worst part happened when I returned it. I paid $295, but the employee at the counter only gave me back $200. When I pointed out the missing $100, he seemed irritated that I noticed instead of trying to fix the mistake professionally. After checking the register cameras, he didnt say a word and handed me the remaining money without offering any apology or explanation. Customer service matters, especially when handling refunds and expensive electronics. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this place. I honestly would have had a better experience shopping at GameStop.
