Bought my pup there for a trial day and it was good! She enjoyed herself. She did real well playing with others and when she started running circles in the play area and noticed other dogs didn't like that, they pulled her out for a break, and placed her back into the room with the more calm dogs and she did great! They don't offer hourly rate, as I just want her there just to learn to socialize and play for only a hour or two max as she's an only dog in the household and she LOVES playing with other dogs, but if I ever need to do a half day or a whole day, I'd take her back here to play. It's more controlled than the dog park and helps while we're still working on recall. Super close to our house, very convenient! read more

First off, ever since coming to this location the past year to get my year old Shih Tzu groomed, it has been exceptional experience every single time! Going up to the front desk, the receptionists are professional and takes the time to know what service you want and they definitely take the time to go through the pricing and process that they do at their location. If you are new, they make sure that they have all of your pet's information so that if there's an upcoming immunization in the future, you will know when to get it. The groomers are very professional and lets you that they will need about 4 hours for your pet to comfort your pet and not get nervous during the grooming process. They listen to what you want for your pets and if you are unsatisfied, then they will help you to make sure that they get it right next time! Last December we were in the middle of a very stressful move from Hawaii to Florida. We had to fly our dog Murphy via cargo, which made us very sad that he could not fly with us. An unexpected long lay over for Murphy left us even more worried. That's why I am so grateful to Paws VIP for being available to rescue our dog from the airport at such short notice. Although I'm sure he was pretty stressed, I could tell from the pictures and updates Paws VIP sent us that their caring services helped him re-group for the rest of his journey. It also gave our family peace of mind to know that he was so well cared for. It was well worth the money to have him stop in with Paws VIP. I actually would have scheduled the stop with them had I known in advance it would have benefitted our dog for the break in such a long trip. All in all, I've come multiple times and the groomers do a good job and my dog comes back fresh and clean. However I had a poor customer experience at the counter today so I'm posting a review to just recommend others to ask for pricing details up front in the future, every single time they get grooming here. After I paid for my dogs grooming today, before I left the desk I asked the staff to break down the pricing for me. Since I had come before and had good experiences, I assumed it would be on the up and up and (this was my fault) I hadn't confirmed specifically the price when I booked this time. But, when I asked, they could not explain to me even at a basic level the price I was paying, only that it was "what I paid last time and they swapped out one service from last time with a different one". The manager eventually came over to help but the whole interaction was still very flustered and left me with some questions. I would expect a professional business to be able to explain to me "base price was this, and then you added on this service for this much". It should be as simple as that. I also checked my account when I got home and actually their explanation of it being the same price doesn't hold up - the price I paid has actually gone up - 85 to 95 and now to 115 over about two years. I double checked the invoices and the service listed the last few times is identical. (I could guess price increase due to inflation... But given that the staff were so flustered by me asking for a breakdown of the price Im beginning to wonder if there's not some arbitrary pricing going on). Less of a big deal, but the groomer was also not aware of the promotions they were running even though they were posted on their door so we ended up paying for nail trimming when nail grinding should have been included. Oh well. Again, they do a good job grooming but I know I'll ask for pricing up front every time going forward and I suggest you do too. read more

We have been taking our dog Elsa to PAWSVIP for years now. We take her for "school" three days a week and boarding any time we go out of town. We just used them for boarding for the first time and it was an excellent experience! From the very first contact, the communication was prompt and clear. A real person was responding! I had to call about shot records and the staff person was great! I also asked to change the dates at the last minute - no problem. Drop off was calm and simple; the staff was sweet and very kind to our dog. Day one we got a text reporting on a small bowel issue they were keeping an eye on but reported that his energy and behavior was great. He got 3-30 minute daily walks, treats, and came home exhausted. They sent a follow up text making sure he was ok after his visit. I loved the whole thing - this place is great! Paws is one of the best places for dog day care. As soon as I walked in the front door I was greeted with upbeat, friendly, and high quality staff. Every single person I have encountered here has a great personality, is professional, and genuine. As a new customer I did have a question about tipping and the weekday morning/afternoon staff was helpful, honest, and direct when answering my question. I love that! Further, quick and efficient communication though email, Instagram stories, and in person makes me feel like Paws really does get me as a pet parent. I started bringing my puppy Virgil here in January when he aged out of Seattle Puppyworks. I needed a place to take him to burn off energy and socialize while I run errands or work. Pawsvip is so much more than that!! The employees take the time to train him on basic manners (jumping, polite greeting), they offer grooming, training, overnight boarding, intact male play, regular video and photo updates, snacks, group and/or individual play time, and more, all for a super affordable rate AND they are open from 5 am to 9 pm!! As a result, my puppy is very good at reading other dogs and knowing when they want to play or when they want to be left alone. He also knows how to politely reject a playmate. I love that when I walk in they know my pup by name, no matter who is behind the counter. I take my boy a couple times a week, sometimes more, and have boarded him twice for 5 days, which is super convenient because pawsVIP is right by Sea-Tac airport. We have two huskies that we occasionally take to Paws VIP. Hachi is 3, and Blue is 1. When we first moved from a tiny apartment into a house, Blue had a really hard time adapting. He became aggressive very quickly and we were never able to figure out what he was triggered by. Blue ended up biting Hachi a few times, and twice drew a little blood. We were very close to rehoming Blue at this point, but decided that our last option would be training no matter the cost. We came to Paws after researching other training facilities. It was clear that Paws VIP was the cheaper option as compared to other places, and at the peak of COVID, they were also the only ones with flexible availability. Among that, they had actual real life reviews that vouched for what a wonderful place this is. Bora, our trainer, is very knowledgeable when it comes to dogs and training. Blue was scared when we first arrived, hiding behind us with his tail down. Off the bat, Bora told us why Blue was acting the way he was. Everything Bora told us during training made sense, and he gave us things to work on until our next session. Within a few weeks, Blue's demeanor had changed tremendously. We can't thank Bora enough. Additionally, their day care and grooming services are wonderful. We occasionally take our huskies to day care when everybody will be out of the house for the day. Hachi loves daycare! He leaves looking so happy every time! Blue, on the other hand, has separation anxiety and hates going, but it's good for him to socialize and be away to grow! Their grooming services are phenomenal. I started sending my pup here about a year ago. If it wasn't convenient for my work schedule, I would've stopped taking him sooner. when I say convenient, I mean early mornings (5:30am). On several occasions I've had to complain about him not being fed. Today he was there for 9 hours, his food nor treats were touched and that wasn't the first time. Secondly, he comes home went a strong odor of urine each time. I always receive a message that "it won't happen again" no matter what it is. However, we see that's not true. They are short staffed and I feel that the dogs are not appropriately cared for. All this to say, we will be seeking services elsewhere. I would not recommend this boarding facility. There is currently a dog illness spreading around that is killing dogs. They are well aware of this, and are posting it on social media as is every other major news source. Even though they are talking about it, they are not following the basic precautions. Before it came out, I had booked a boarding trip for my dog. When the illness started to spread and it was time for me to drop off my dog, I called my vet and they said absolutely under no circumstance, should I board my dog. When I called the boarding facility and asked what precautions they were taking they said they were doing extra cleaning. They are still using communal water bowls, which are a huge risk. They are also still doing communal playtime. When I tried to speak to the manager about this and get a credit, not even a refund, to use at another time they refused. I guess they need to keep the money for when they get sued because they are going to spread illness and kill someone's dog. They also said that they had notified us about the illness which is a lie. When I asked for proof of that, they never followed up, and the manager never got back to me. I genuinely cannot believe that a place that is supposed to care for animals is so thoughtless and has such terrible customer service around an illness that could leave a loved ones animals deceased. Do not board your dogs here, it is not safe. read more

Seriously the best daycare I've been to in many years. As a travel nurse it is hard to find a daycare with accommodating hours without extra fees. They have a reasonable fee for daycare, and the 5am to 9pm hours have been a huge help. My dog is very sensitive and reactive, this is the first daycare where he is excited going in and walking out. My Koko loves it there and has become so much more of a sociable pup thanks to them. I love how you their online reservations work and that you can customize play time, feedings, add on training, and even add on treats. It's nice to know that Koko is in good hands when I have to travel for work or even going on vacation. She usually comes home so pooped from playing! They are also so good about updates if you need them (which I did in the very beginning bc I'm an overprotective fur mama lol) and if anything happens they notify you right away. Koko had quicked one of her nails during playtime, they cleaned it up, applied quikstop and sent a text to update. They even mentioned she was still playful which was reassuring. I recently moved to the Seattle area from Los Angeles and needed a new groomer for my dog. Took my Maltese to this place for a groom. Like some other reviews, my dog came back being shaved to the skin and uneven ears. While the groomer will most likely blame "excessive matting" on my dog that requires the shave like they did to other reviews, it doesn't explain the uneven and rough cut on the head area that evidently show lack of care and attention to detail. Also I brush my dog on a weekly to avoid excessive matting, and none of the groomers in LA ever felt the need to shave my dog down like the way Paws VIP did. Aside from the terrible cut, my dog came back and had diarrhea (he has not had diarrhea for over a year), and very skittish behavior that makes you wonder if he went through some kind of scare at the groomer. My dog is usually the friendliest dog that loves being around anyone, for the past couple of days he prefers to be away from people and does not respond to any commands like "sit" or "come". Please save your $100 dollars from an overly priced grooming. You will receive back a dog that you won't recognize both physically and characteristically. read more

I am deeply disappointed with my experience at Paws VIP. Upon picking up my dog from boarding, I was horrified to find him covered in urine, indicating a severe lack of hygiene and neglect. It appears that my dog was not let out to relieve himself regularly or possibly not at all during his stay when I had paid extra for the individual boarding which included more human playtime. The handler immediately took the dog into control and started working with him. They were both comfortable and worked in sync. Then the handler started working with the dog and my mother. Took our 19lb cavapoo to get a haircut. I'll admit when I was reserving I didn't know bath A was just a bath. When we arrived, we were rushed to give our pup and didn't get a chance to discuss what we wanted. The lady in the front "training to be a manger" was like the groomer will know how yo cut his hair. We were like okay I guess. 3 hours later, groomer calls and says try to book a haircut soon. I was surprised when she said that. We went to pick up cooper and we were mad we had to pay $70 for a stupid bath and no haircut. Poor customer service and we gave our number so the manager can call and it's been a week and haven't heard back. The lady also said when we bring him back it would be a $100+ for a bath and haircut.
