They followed up and offered me a free groom next time for Shadow and assured me that they do all the cleaning and all that but I do understand having several dogs in one spot always runs a risk. Luckily the antibiotics and cough suppressant worked their magic and my dog is back to new. I'll give them another shot and update in the future. read more

I have 2 dogs. A Boston Terrier and Great Dane/St. Bernard mix. I travel frequently between Wa State and AZ and have found no better place for my 2 four legged fur babies. They keep the place clean. My dogs and their belongings are always returned in excellent condition. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They are also pretty affordable. My only critique for not giving 5 stars is because the decor/ styling could use some modernizing but who really cares... the dogs sure don't! read more

I made a reservation here to board my dog. You can't ask for more convenience as a traveler! What I didn't expect was to be turned away for a tour of the facility when I arrived just after noon; the website boasts tours any time they are open. I also didn't expect the smell that hit me when I stepped through their doors. I canceled my reservation. I will drive further and suffer the inconvenience for a clean, friendly kennel that will allow me to walk through their premises any time. read more

We took our dog in on Sunday for a dog daycare trial before we made the committment of choosing this place for boarding. Staff was friendly and it was very easy to coordinate his stay. When asking for a tour of the facility before dropping him off they thought it was a weird ask as I could tell by their expression. They wouldn't allow a tour of the playtime area but showed us the back where the kennels, grooming, and feeding area was. The kennels were not that great... it smelled awful and there were so many dogs packed in the back like it was an animal shelter. Some dogs didn't have any bedding and slept on the cement ground. The grooming area in the back didn't look very lively or clean... it was next to the food storage where everyone drops the food off for their dogs feeding. Overall Kobe had a good time but after he came home, he started vomiting the next day. Today he vomits in 7 different spots and we find a toy that comes out with it. He does not have toys like this because of that reason... we have never seen this toy and when I call PawsVIP they dismiss the issue... don't empathize... and just continue to say that they don't have toys LIKE THAT... so they have toys but not the fabric kind that i've mentioned... right... right. I let them know to check all the play areas and not provide toys because some dogs will just eat it. Again... dismissed the issue and didn't give a shit. I'd highly recommend against bringing your dog here. If you really care about your dog, drive that extra for better care. UPDATE: Kobe is still pooping out pieces of fabric which may indicate that he may have eaten bedding as well. If your dog tends to tear up and eat bedding, let staff know so they don't include that in the kennel... or better yet... don't bring your dog here. read more

We took our dog to Paws VIP weekly for 2 years and bought 3 of their day care packages before we found out their true colors. Who have a 100 lbs high energy dog. When we would pick him up from daycare he would pee for a solid 2 minutes and didn't seem as tired as when we would take him to places previously. We also NEVER saw him in any online pictures, even when they panned across the whole yard. My husband and I both asked staff if there was an issue at least twice each and were told "no, he must have just been off in another corner." The only thing we were told anything was when he had a time out for being rough with another dog which happened occasionally. We usually dropped our dog off around 7:30am and picked him up around 5p. One day, my husband asked the staff if they could wait to put our dog in the yard because he ate late. She laughed and said, "we never put him in the yard until at least noon!" Mind you this was when play went only until 3pm. They had been keeping him in a kennel but using our day pass while also lying to us about it for 2 years! This was also confirmed by another manager who said that our dog was a little much for some of the girls to handle (AT A DOGGY DAY CARE!) We stopped going and were trying to decide how to approach them since we still had quite a bit of money on one of the packages left (around $800). They eventually called me to check why our dog had not been in for a while and I asked to speak to the manager. Someone called me and he was a jerk immediately and very defensive. I reminded him that their website claimed to "guarantee 6 hrs of play a day" but he was getting 3 ours all while they lied to us for years and kept our pup in a kennel. What's worse is we ASKED if there was a problem and were told no. "Bora" offered me a free bath to continue coming and I told him I would not trust him with my dog ever again. He eventually agreed to give us back $300 and are taking our dog to Seattle Canine Club in SoDo. Our pup comes home exhausted and pees a normal amount. read more

This place is AMAZING! I was referred by a friend who has been taking their puppy there and I was originally drawn in by the incredibly affordable prices, as well as the extended hours - you will be hard pressed to find a daycare in the Seattle area that matches either of those things. While those were the original draws, the kindness and care they shown the pups is just the absolute icing on the cake. My girl is VERY shy and they took the time to help bring her out of her shell through positive reinforcement and love. I almost don't recognize her in the videos they send because she is running around, smiling, tail-wagging and CONFIDENT! Finally, they are incredible with communication! They respond to texts quickly which is just so nice and reassuring during some of the longer hours I have to spend away from my babe. I wanted to love this place, I've used their services twice now and their staff is super friendly and I love that they have awesome social media presence, but the care is lacking - there's no camera's where you can watch the pets and no one gives you any info about how your pet did during the stay. The first visit, I had my pup there for 3 days - I packed her food but worried it wouldn't be enough. I was fully prepared to have someone bring extra but when I picked my dog up, only half the packed food was eaten. So a husky only ate the equivalent of 1.5 cups of food in 3 days? No way. The last visit, I prepacked the food in bags, so they just needed to put it in the bowl - which they did. (awesome) I also packed a blanket and toys for her room. She's a white dog and the blanket is black. They never even unpacked the blanket. It was just as I had packed it, not a fur on it, with all her toys and treats underneath. That was depressing, but what really drove this review was the intense urine smell of the place, even in the lobby away from the dogs. I get it, pets pee - but I had to wash my dog twice when she came home. She's also been sleeping like a rock for the last 18 hours. So it's likely not the cleanest place, definitely not paying attention to pet owners wishes if you bring stuff for them to have/use. I think they'll do an ok job of keeping your pet alive, but the care part isn't there. read more

I'm the guy whose daycare turns into boarding with a very sassy dog. My almost 10 month old Blue Heeler, Joey, basically used to live at PAWS VIP and she loves it. The staff know each dog and their personality and treat her so well. I know that when I work late or overtime, PAWS VIP always has my back. They give great suggestions when I have questions, care about Joey and the best part, Joey is always tired when she comes home! We also took training there and it was incredible. Joey is a sassy girl, but definitely takes simple orders now. Each staff member always is happy to see Joey, she is happy to see them and it's funny bc sometimes I'm not sure if Joey is happier to see me pick her up or if she's happier when she arrives. Lol. Sometimes I have jobs that are out of state or overnight and it often happens last minute. The staff is super understanding and always make sure I know that Joey is safe and well cared for while I'm gone. And with a quick update on where I'm at and when I'll be coming, PAWS VIP staff always hits me with the "no problem, see you tomorrow". It is soooo relieving having folks take care about your dog when you can't especially when you're schedule is erratic. They have also kept me updated if she's acting differently or once her poops were suspicious so we had a text exchange about that and I took her to the vet immediately. I know that if anything was terribly wrong, I'd know about it. Also, grooming is super great! They plan it around your daycare so you get a fresh smelling dog when come get your buddy! You can also follow them on Instagram if you wanna check in on the dog party! I follow them and it feels sweet to be able to see Joey having the time of her life with other dogs. My dog boarded with paws.vip for less than a week. On the last day, I got a text message from their staff saying he threw up. Luckily I was already on my way to pick him up. I asked the front desk what their feeding times were because if the times are too far apart, bile can build up in his stomach causing him to puke. She said their feeding times were 4AM & 5PM which didn't sit right with me because I LITERALLY provided my dogs exact eating schedule prior to dropping him off. I'm not sure how this could've happened, but my dog didn't deserve this. On the way home he threw up once and then 8 more times throughout the day. We had to see an emergency vet because he started throwing up blood (pics below). We were looking for a new daycare / boarding facility for our dog because our last boarding experience was not pleasant. We always give it a shot by having our dog do daycare and boarding for one night before we have him stay for a period of time. The staff here seemed to be kind enough but when we picked our dog up after his one night stay he SMELLED like straight urine. We had about a 45 minute drive home and had to roll the windows down it was so strong. I get it's probably difficult to clean 24/7 and dogs will be dogs when they see a puddle of ANYTHING. When we got home he slept nonstop I'm sure from the separation anxiety and burning off energy but he now has displayed other symptoms such as a hoarse bark, phlegmy, and he's thrown up two times now. Currently waiting to get him to the vet. I think this has just been a common thing I experience in facilities like this that take LOTS of dogs and jam pack them all together. My new goal is going to be looking for a facility that doesn't take on so many dogs at once. read more

Great option for a weekend getaway where you need dog boarding. I like that the facility is right by the airport so it's very convenient to pick up/drop off your doggo. I also like how they keep up with their social media, so it's nice to see them play while you're away. The only real downside is that there's not a ton of play time in a day (something you have to pay extra for if you want more), so I do still feel a little bad that my buddy is stuck in his little room for majority of the day. read more

My puppy Dax is 6 months old now and absolutely LOVES daycare. I started taking him here around 4 months old to get him socialized. When I park the car in front of Paws VIP, he immediately perks up and climbs over me to get out. Once he's inside, his entire body starts wagging out of excitement and he greets the staff like they're fresh bacon. He's essentially like, "Mom, who dat?" I love that I can check in on Instagram to see him playing throughout the day. He's wiped out when I pick him up and I know he's had a full day of enrichment. The staff always give me tips and updates too, like how to get him to be better in baths or how well he played with his buds that day. Dax also gets his grooming done here. He came home with a super cute bandana, with perfectly trimmed nails, and smelled amazing! Paws VIP is the real deal!! And they arent kidding when they say VIP- our dogs get treated like royalty whenever we bring them in! Our husky comes home happy and exhausted every time we bring him in for day care, and they gave our malamute/corgi mix the best grooming shes ever had! Every time we park in the lot, Kai (our husky) starts to go nuts and pace around in his seat like a crazy boy because he knows he's about to have some great play time :) And the staff is absolutely the best ever. In the past, we've used boarding facilities whose employees had made me second guess whether or not our four four-legged kiddos should be there or not, but Bora (sorry if I spelled your name wrong!) and his staff are the nicest, most dog-loving people I've met. They have been fantastic with us any time we've been late picking up the doggos, and have never once added on an unexpected fee for any thinkable occurrence like some other facilities do. We've struggled up to this point trying to find somewhere we can trust with our 4 legged babies, but I think we can finally stop looking now. I dont say this lightly, because our dogs are our world, but yours will be very, very happy and well cared for here, and I can't think of a better group of people to leave our pack with.
