I'm always nervous leaving my 15-year-old Havanese, but the PetSmart Pet Hotel takes such good care of him. The staff is always kind, caring, and reassuring, which makes me feel much better when I have to be away. We also use the grooming salon, and they do an amazing job with him. He is very finicky and doesn't like his feet touched, but they are patient and do their best with him. He always comes home looking so cute! I really appreciate the care and attention they give him. read more

I highly recommend the Tukwila Petsmart pets hotel! Our babies absolutely love staying there and the staff love them! The staff, including Krystal is very kind and friendly to them. They take good care of them. One of our babies takes medication for some medical issues and the staff administers it properly. We have been using this pets hotel for boarding since 2021. The check in process can be a bit hectic sometimes but they do take good care of them. They have been many times, and we never have had issues. They always get their baths at the end and they love getting their baths at the salon and then coming home. If you leave your babies here, you can trust that they will be well taken care of, and that's coming from picky pet parents. :) read more

Pet friendly as always. Great prices. Employees are always helpful and the store is always organized and clean.

Came by for our dog's "Gotcha Day." Had been a minute. The "other place" that was down the road north has gone and this is pretty much the only spot on this side of town for a "big box" pet store. It was pretty fun - they have a HUGE selection of toys and they are all adorable - Halloween theme and many other themes such as Monsters, Inc or SpongeBob. Lots of affordable clearance in at least three different spots. Plenty of supplies for your dog, your cat, your fish. Not a lot of pets for sale - a few, such as a couple of guinea pigs. Staff is very friendly. read more

Horrible experience. My dog has visited the grooming at Petsmart for 12 years. He had an appointment yesterday with Robert who placed my dog in the kennel for 3 hours before he started the services. He cut some of the hair under my dog's chin and nose then washed him. He did not cut any more hair. During the drying process my dog had a panic attack according to Robert. No clue why he washed the hair that is being cut, that seems like a waste of time. No other groomer has done that in the past. I spoke to the store manager the next day to understand the sequence of events to understand why my dog was in a kennel for 3 hours before services started. My appointment was at noon and Robert started grooming him around 3pm. The store manager stated there are three dogs scheduled for the same block of time and the dogs are groomed in order of arrival. Why have a 12pm appointment then kennel him for 3 hours? Dogs deserve better. The store manager informed me of an express service for senior dogs but I had never been offered it previously. I specifically asked if my dog was welcomed to return to the salon and I was told yes. I rebooked the appointment and an hour before the appointment Stacey called to cancel stating my dog is not welcomed at the grooming salon. She said I can bring him in to cut nails but they aren't going to groom him. Manager stated it was okay to bring my dog back but the groomer Stacey refused. Horrible customer service after 12 years of grooming service. My dog looks terrible. Don't use them. read more

I had the absolute worst experience with their employee Maliki aka Al. I used a bag to place my 2 dogs items in after removing them for their grooming services. Asked him if I could use the coupon that I got out of the grooming department for my dogs' services. He I'd have to wait and see once they scan it and said that I have to lay .10 for the bag. He added some item for $29.99 that I didn't buy then the bag fee and told me to scan my credit card. I explained to him that he's charging me over $30 for the bag. He couldn't get the charge correct then threw the bag on the counter saying, "Today is your lucky day!" Very rude demeanor I told him he didn't need to throw the bag. He said if he was throwing the bag, it would have been ... then used his hands as if he was throwing something at me. I went to give him the bag back and asked if we can just start over and he hands me the bag. He became EXTREMELY aggressive!!!! He told me to just leave shooing me away with his hand gestures like you would a fly. Telling me he doesn't have time for my nonsense. I was completely taken back by his behavior to me as a customer; very aggressive; rude; unprofessional ; not customer friendly! I told him no need to talk to me like that. He said that he's standing up for himself. I asked him standing up to me for what reason as a customer and that his behavior was extremely unprofessional. He tried to justify his behavior saying, "You started it!" In a very aggressive threatening tone. Still in total disbelief how I was being treated. I asked to talk to the manager. While talking to the manager, she just looked at me with a blank stare and after I explained, she was quiet for a few seconds as if she really didn't care what I had to say. I told her what he said are words like you're getting ready to fight someone and I was close to calling the police. She said since I threatened legal actions, she can't talk to me. I asked her what legal actions was I threatening when all I said I was close to calling the police. Based on her responses, I sensed she wasn't customer focused and didn't make me feel comfortable leaving my dogs there. One employee apologized for my bad experience saying that's not how customers should be treated. I sat in my car for a moment as I called customer relations. I started getting anxiety worried my dogs wouldn't be safe; especially because the last time I was there, it wasn't a pleasant experience where the groomer apologized because she wasn't having a good day. During my last experience. I asked this same manager to not place the rope around my dogs' neck at my last visit because of the damage it could cause to their trachea like their sister who's collapsed and she suffocated and died, she still did and I felt it was to be SPITEFUL in a passage aggressive way. I ended up going back into the store to get my dogs fearful of "Al" doing something unthinkable to them after the way he treated me as an employee. I went back in and Michael brought them to me apologizing for my experience. He assured me that my dogs will be very safe with them in the grooming area. I ended up leaving them because of his sincere reassurance. As I was driving off after I picked them up, "Al" was walking back in and appeared to have flipped me off. Again, displaying a demeanor beyond rude flipping me off and confidence like his behavior was acceptable to management and he was untouchable as an employee. It appears that "Al" treats other customers this way. He deflected and gaslighted the entire encounter with me as a what I thought to be a valued customer because of my dedication to them all the way back in Maryland and Virginia. I guess I was wrong!!! But I'm a short black female only 5'4"; he's at least 6'2". I'm no threat and present myself in a professional manner. I know a friend who has recently shared a few recent bad encounters at this store. He's a very poor reflection on PetSmart and how they value their customers. Also, looking at recent reviews shows how others have experienced bad customer service. read more

Pet hotel is alright but the grooming is a bit questionable. This happened months ago and my 3 year old watched the whole thing because he still talks about it to this day. There was a dog named "Casper" getting a hair cut and he was obviously stressed out, the groomer was yelling at him like a mad woman "NO CASPER!!!!! NOOO CASPER!!!!!!!! CASPER NNNNNOOOOOO!!!" So my son is autistic and he keeps saying "no yelling at Casper" again this happened months ago so she may not work there anymore but yeah. Thanks Petsmart read more

Best grooming experience I've ever had with my two pups. I have one pup that's 3yrs old & has been very traumatized. I tried taking him to other places but they always gave him a crazy hair cut & say how difficult he was & him trying to bite them because of his trauma. One place refused to see him again & said they wouldn't see either of my dogs because of my one difficult one. I took them here a few days ago & they gave my two puppies the best hair cut. They said Gabriel my difficult puppy was kissing the groomers & the price I paid was half the price I was taking them before. They also brush & floss both pups teeth for only $12.00 dollars omg & grooming was 60. Each before I paid 120. Each. I highly recommend PetSmart! Also the customer service was surprisingly outstanding. read more

We had been going with our poodle because it was easy and they did a decent enough job. We don't need a fancy cut. We keep her coat pretty short and a slight puff on her head. It's always been the same person and it worked well. We got a cancelation last minute due to a groomer injury and got rescheduled with someone else. Picked her up from the appointment and both of her eyes were watering, she was blinking uncontrollably, and couldn't open her eyes. Called to ask what happened and was told it couldn't possibly have happened there but we could bring her into their clinic the next day to get her checked out. We opted to take her to our own vet and found an open wound on her back, also. They cut her and got something in her eyes that, according to the vet, caused ulcers on her corneas. Never again. I'll give her home baths and a flowbee hair cut before she ever steps foot in that place again. read more

A one stop shop! I have recently added a puppy to my family and was looking for a place to get her groomed. I decided to try Petsmart Tukwila with the next available groomer. We got Mykah and she is AMAZING! She is so nice, to both me and my pup, listens to what we want, and is just the best. We are always so happy with the outcome and have gone back to her everytime. Unfortunately, I did knock off one star due to customer service outside of the grooming department. I do not know their name and but there is one particular front end employee that always has a horrible attitude to me, as well as every customer I have seen them interact with. It just makes that part of the trip so unenjoyable. They aren't helpful, they make very rude comments about the customers, and just make me feel very unwelcome/wanted. I will continue to come back for Mykah's great grooming and customer service, but just a heads up to not make the front end employees mad! read more

My dog had an appt on Sunday at 3pm at Tukwilla Petsmart for a full groom. I received a call from the groomer at 5:15 stating that she couldn't finish him due to him being too stressed out and to pick him up and schedule another appointment on Tuesday. When question she then went on to say another groomer called in and she had to take on her dog. Mind you when my husband picked up my dog he looked as if she started shaving him on various spots all over his body. He was a total mess! I contacted customer care with a formal complaint. Y dog went back to finish on Tuesday and he still looks a mess! His ears are jagged and hairy missing the hair was not removed from inside his ears and he is shaven! Way shorter then discussed. One of the worst experiences. Recently adopted a cat and she had a huge bowel movement mess after she came back from the veterinarian. I try my best to make amends but I need a professional help I wanted to get in ASAP. I called a hotline number on the Petsmart website and spoke with a representative. I told her that she could send me to this location or Renton as long as I was able to get in within a couple hours. She confirmed with me the appointment and that it was with a Liam. I drove 30 minutes and got there 30 minutes early to the appointment when I walked and I spoke with the person at the front and she said I had no appointment and it was for the following week. No apology, or anything to make amends, even after explaining my situation. What's funny is that Liam was right behind and didn't say anything and turned their back once they heard that my appointment was messed up read more

I got both my hamsters and my two hermit crabs at PetSmart! They're all healthy and in great condition! The environment: The animals there have good-sized enclosures with enough bedding and food and water. This is quite unlike some pet stores that only give below the minimum. The employees: In my experience, the employees at PetSmart have always been helpful, kind, and informative. They have helped me many times when I have had questions about a pet I wanted. What's in stock: PetSmart always has everything I need for my pets. However, their prices are a little higher than what I would like, but I suppose that's the world we live in now. I have also found the majority of their pet supplies to be excellent quality! Final notes: I love how the majority of pets at PetSmart actually look happy and healthy! My wife got our GSD Max a bundle of grooming visits for a decent deal. After taking him in today, somehow, they couldn't find the correct account for him. Apparently, one of the stores created duplicate accounts for him and couldn't find the correct account to show proof of purchase. They wanted us to call customer service to figure it out. I was getting frustrated at this point and had to point out to the girl that this should be something the manager should be able to figure out, not me having to call a third party to get them to understand and fix their problem. Ive been struggling with writing this review for awhile now. I'm not one to leave reviews ever, but what I had done to me here was heartbreaking. I've been coming to this PetSmart for awhile now since it's right next to my house. I have spent thousands of dollars at this exact location for all my lizards and I've always had a great time! Most of the staff is very nice (especially odd, they are the best.) A few months ago I bought 2 Guinea pigs for my son. He got bored of them quickly and I ended up taking over, which I don't mind except the cat was destroying my door trying to get them (and good luck trying to remind a 6 year old to close the door after himself) no matter where we put the guinea pigs, the cat was clawing at the cage and destroying the house. The next time I went in to stock up on crickets I asked an employee if I could return the guinea pigs. They said yes but they can't offer a refund. I was okay with that. I talked to the manager directly, he said it was fine but gave me some guinea pig sanctuaries that would be a better match. I messaged all the sanctuaries in a 100 mile radius and they were all full. I put them up on Facebook marketplace for free and still, no bites. One day I get home from work and notice the cat had broken the cage, I quickly swooped them up, put them in a milk crate with hay, food, and bedding and brought them to petsmart. When I got there I was immediately was met with a lady who worked there, saying I was here to surrender them. She very rudely shrugged me off and rolled her eyes and said that they were not gonna take it back I asked to talk to Eric (the store manager) who was the one who told me they would take them back. I said goodbye to the pigs, gave them kisses and went home. The next week I had heard that Eric went around telling people that I put them in a box and left them in the parking lot! I would never do that to an animal. One of my friends works at a different location and turns out the rumor has spread to different stores! I'm devastated and heart broken that after I've spent so much time and money and devoted my business that he would start such a terrible rumor about me. I'm embarrassed to show my face there ever again. Now I drive 20 minutes out of my way every week for the crickets. I've worked in costumer service my entire life, I don't write negative reviews because if I receive bad service I chalk it up to that person having a bad day and move on. But this rumor has gotten into my personal life! read more

Went there for the Grooming services ! I've been there before and left happy but this time... huge disappointment. I do not have a far so hit takes ma quite some planning to get there with a friend help. When I got there and checked in I told them very clearly that one of my two huskies had a nods near skin that had to be sorted out. They told me to come back within 3 hours which I did. They weren't done so they asked me for another 45 min to wait. When I came back they asked for an additional 30min. Finally everything was sorted out and off we went as I trusted everything was well, the boys looked good and smelled great. At home I find out that all the nods are still there. I called to ask about it and I was told that they couldn't find them. Why didn't you ask me where there were the 3 times I came and you asked me additional time? The Girl wasn't in they told me by phone and couldn't say anything in regards even though they had a note about it. The solution? Come back and we'll sort it out... this a huge plain trip for me I can't just come back.... I could have bath them easily by myself at home but wanted a professional to sort the fur nods out... very very disappointed!! read more

The store is okay, but the hotel is a bust. They dont post photos like they said they would & the manager bands you for having a disability & asking questions regarding the bill. With covid (they said) the prices changed but the customer service rep didn't disclose the cost. So i asked before picking up i suppose the manager had a meeting before calling me back and told me the price. Unfortunately he banned me for asking questions about the price for three dogs that i also paid for grooming service for a week. I also was diagnosed with a PCS so sometimes i need additional help to understand things. Kinda feel they used that against me. Cant help if my head got injured when a DUI & now on SSDI. Thanks for using my disability against me. Not only was i banned, i didnt get updates, when i called to check on them three out of six calls they couldnt get anyone on the phone. I'm now forced to use curb-side pickup. Even after installing their UPDATED APP, it still doesn't work. After calling the number on the sign for pick up, we are given several options that apply. Option #3 is to let them know we are there for pickup. When #3 is pressed, NOTHING HAPPENS. The message continues to list all NINE options. Then we are asked what type of vehicle we are in. It doesn't matter which option you press, NOTHING WORKS. THE ONLY WAY TO GET OUR ORDER IS TO FINALLY TRY AND GET THROUGH TO A LIVE PERSON AND RELAY THE INFO THAT WE'RE THERE FOR PICKUP. (My HORRIBLE experience started w/ the Petsmart Issaquah (WA) grooming shop earlier in 2019 and vowed I would NEVER EVER patron Petsmart again!!! It has ended w/ another horrible grooming experience at the PetSmart Tukwila). July 2019 - My 20 lb. Havanese mix looked AWFUL when I picked her up 5 hrs. after dropping her off. She appeared to have not been bathed and the groom itself looked TERRIBLE! Choppy, uneven, nails not trimmed. Went back the next day, spoke to manager, and she agreed that the groom was *very* poorly done and apologized for the bad service. Offered to have Lucy re-groomed by a different groomer but I politely refused and took her elsewhere. Fast forward to yesterday, 12/17/19, when (against my better judgement) I let someone talk me into taking Lucy back to Petsmart grooming but this time to the Tukwila location, which is closer to home. After 4.5 hrs, I received a call that she was ready but was shocked when I saw her. Again, groom was VERY sloppy, choppy and uneven all over, and there was no sign whatsoever that she had been bathed (she *ALWAYS* smells clean but this time, absolutely no smell whatsoever!). Tail and ear leather were both very bushy, uneven, and the cut looked NOTHING like the photos I had left with the shop. Once home, I had to spend 1.5 hrs. cleaning Lucy up with thinning shears and evening out all the places that were cut very choppy. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE AND I WILL NEVER EVER EVER SPEND ANOTHER PENNY AT PETSMART AS LONG AS I AM ON THIS PLANET AND BREATHING! I have also posted the experience (with all photos) on several of my social media sites, my personal and business webpages, and written reviews on multiple websites as well. Our dog is now 11 months old...so LESS than 1 year old, and this was the third grooming session for this dog starting at after 6 months...July, September and now in November. We've even had training sessions here but the grooming is always so terribly inconsistent. This last time was the worst and most incompetent way of doing almost anything. He is a Bichon Frise with a rather fluffy coat but we've had him groomed every 2 months or so, so it isn't too long. The last couple of times were done with a medium trim, all taking over 3 hours to do for some reason. This last time we dropped off the dog as a Bichon Frise and received in return some sort of Beagle...ish / shortly shaved hound of some sort...He was sheared like a sheep...completely bald almost and in the winter months. Last time someone called during the groom to say they might have to shorten it. This time, no one called and when we picked up, they said he was all matted and that he had a hematoma forming on the ear tips. I could tell there was no hematoma and we took him to the vet after a few days to confirm this. We just combed and brushed him out completely the week before and still did it every 2 days. How much matting and knotting can a 2 to 3 inch coat being brushed have? In addition, we bathed him between these groom sessions. It seems that they just don't have the time to slowly brush the dogs before grooming and use the 4 hours for what I don't know...We have always been able to brush the dog but it did take time and with the 4 hour window, we assumed that this is what they do, but they don't. It looks like they try once or twice and just shave the dog. The other reviews here confirm this... I wouldn't trust these folks to peel an onion. Now we have a dog who has no hair and feels colder until the hair grows back. He's never had it this short down to the skin since he was born I guess. He's always had 2 inches of fur and hair. He was born on Christmas Eve and we wanted to take a nice picture of a fluffy snowball for Christmas, and now we have a dachshund looking cold skittish dog who can barely fit into his collar and leash. That's how much hair was shaved off without asking. What a bunch of morons this Petsmart has... We had to spend extra money at the vet too because of these geniuses... read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I took my 7month golden doodle pup to get a grooming yesterday and from the minute we stepped in the lady checking us in, Madison, which ultimately was her groomer had an attitude. She reached out for my pup and my pup backed up as to being pretty shy/anxious around new people, she immediately goes if she won't let me touch her I'm gonna have to send her home so do you want to go now, like excuse me? We just walked in calm down, I should've just left that was on me but my pup really needed her ears cleaned that was the most important part of the service. After telling her that she doesn't know you and hasn't been to a big groomer like this(it was super loud and such) so give her grace. When she tried again it was fine. The attitude still continued the whole time, the others groomers could see it as they were trying to chime in and save her when she would say off things. Now to the service, my pups ears weren't touched AT ALL. Not a drop of water! Which is infuriating since I double checked at check in saying "is ear cleaning extra or included in the bath to make sure?" I was told it was included in the bath so I guess she was just to lazy to do it. Madison then shaved my dog. When I specifically said to just cut off the puppy fluff! Told her her nickname is baby bear, I wanted her to still be fluffy as I chose the 2nd to last longest blade, she used the 2nd to first one, shaving her off. I just do not understand. On top of that if you are going to do the complete opposite of what I ask the least you could do is make it nice and clean. She is blotchy! Patches and over shaven areas all over! I'm so sad for her, she looked so much better before. I specifically told them to not shave her face, like made it VERY clear I wanted her to still look like a doodle pup, with a round semi long muzzle and head. Her head was shaven and her muzzle was shaven in some areas and looked like a toddler took scissors to her in other areas, super messy! All different lengths, just a mess. I can't believe she would leave her face like that, just plain disrespectful. She looks like a messy poodle. I paid extra for nail trimming/ grinding, don't even think that was done as her nails were the exact same length, long. Overall this whole experience was beyond disappointing and infuriating as I feel like I got absolutely nothing out of it but a botched dog and rude service. I have to go to another groomer for her nails and ears. Nothing I can do about her cut. I would 100% advice anyone to NOT come here. Please steer clear!! read more
