Let me just start out by saying that Tammy called my girlfriend the 'b' word. That "b" almost passed away. Me and my girlfriend have never even met Tammy, it was our first (and only) phone conversation. I was calling just looking to find a dog sitter. I told her I'm looking for someone to do a couple check ins a day while we are out of town. She suggested someone just stay with the dogs 24 hours a day because it's almost the same price. I tried explaining to her that our current set up in the house isn't ideal for someone to stay overnight. My girlfriend almost passed away from Osteomyelitis and was in the hospital, unfortunately the doctor said it would be safest for her to live in a house with no dogs due to the fact her osteomyelitis can be caused by a single hair, (not to mention she is allergic and her lips swell up.) So the dogs are currently gated off on one side of the house and stay in the living room, this is where I hang out with them and sleep with them at night. I told Tammy the short answer that my girlfriend is allergic and her lips swell up and Tammy said "Maybe that b... should stay on HER side of the house!" Which is insulting and extremely unprofessional, but the ironic thing is that's literally what I was telling her, was that she stays on her side and the dogs stay on the other side. Our dogs are a part of the family and we don't want to give them away, so we have actually bought a new house, it's a new build and will be ready in April. This house is twice the size of our current one, it's 6 bedrooms, 2 stories, and most importantly big enough to keep the dogs happy and my girlfriend safe and healthy. On top of this, with both dogs recently having to stay in the living room, one of them has become more territorial of the new smaller space and started attacking my other dog. So they are staying separated right now. Tammy said she is a "hard a..." when it comes to dog training and that I'm doing something wrong if the dogs need to be separated. I explained to her that we had a dog behaviorist before in the past and she snaps at me, "Well did you forget everything he taught you?!" Unfortunately, our dog behaviorist moved away but I am flying him out in a couple months in April to help us with our situation with the dogs at the new house and new environment. All that being said, we will be out of town in March and needed someone to watch the dogs in our current unfortunate situation and that's simply the only reason I was calling Tammy. I eventually just said Thank you, goodbye and hung up the phone because I know there's no talking or getting through to someone like that. Her level of unprofessionalism, ignorance, and rudeness was extremely bizarre. I would never trust someone like that to be around my dogs or alone in my house. read more
