It seems like all of the recent reviews are in line with my issues with Paver Care. They were quick to come out to do the initial work and collect their money, but have ignored numerous calls to correct defects such as sand coming out in between pavers and softening of sand filling. Three of us on my block have used Paver Care and will be bringing this issue to their attention as well. Don't say you weren't warned by recent reviews. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. I will have the entire paving area re-evaluated and see if the entire paving area will deteriorate quickly and I will be looking for reimbursement from Paver Care for having to have the entire area redone and Paver Care's expense. After discussion with the Paver Care I am retracting my comments above. They came out and took care of the problem today. My apologies to them. I think I was too quick to rush to judgment. They were behind schedule and couldn't get back to me. Sometimes things just come up. Except for a couple of small spots with the sand, everything else is fine. I am actually going to have them do the pavers in the front come spring. Overall they did a great job and my sincere apologies to them. TJ's going to stay in business as long as he has old people who don't read internet reviews. Yeah, I'm old and I didn't read these quite believable one star reviews until too late. Don't use this company. I'd like to back up this review with a detailed story covering my woes with this company, but I think the pictures should suffice. My entire driveway is falling apart like this and it hasn't even been a year! I'm not a paver expert, but everything looks like he cut the polymeric sand with regular sand. Didn't know it was a thing that someone would try. A few other details. When I went back to look at the paperwork he gave me, I only then noticed that there was no written warranty. If you're still reading this, learn from my stupidity. Full disclosure, TJ will tell you that my driveway fell apart like this because I didn't have it sealed. It is of course a recommended procedure, but my driveway is sloped, so I was cautious about having ice on it in the winter. You see the pictures. It's all falling out in less than a year. Sealed or not sealed, something is terribly bad about this company. Sorry about no pictures. Yelp is having trouble with HEIC format??? Well, looking at the reviews for this company tells me that TJ is really immune to this whole review thing. If I could give Paver Care a zero rating, I would. They were out to my house less than a year ago, and the sand is already coming up. Barely made it two seasons. I've called multiple times to have them come out and remedy the issue and have yet to get a call back. I wish I checked these reviews prior to hiring them. Do not recommend. I have tried contacting them by email, phone, website contact forms, BBB, and Facebook, even contacted the company they share an office with, but still no response. Poorly. PaverCare did not bother to pull Western Springs permits, then set the drains right next to my neighbors yard - which is against code and rightfully made my neighbor angry. The work was done in May. Its now September. The owner will not returned phone calls from me or the Village of Western Springs. In short, by hiring Paver Care, I'm being fined by the village, yelled at by my neighbor and ghosted by the people I paid to do the work. Yeah, I do not recommend. read more

They redid our front walk pavers. Within a few days of completion, a 6 inch hole developed and the cement between all the stones began receding. I called and asked them to please re-evaluate. They came back quickly and fixed the seams but the hole redeveloped within a few days. I called and left at least 6 messages over the next 2 months and they never responded. Horrible experience. TC came to my house and provided me with an estimate. I was told I would be called to schedule a date for the work after I reviewed the proposal. Workers appeared at my door one day and I should have sent them away, but I let them do some minor work on a door stoop. I think a sixth grader could have done a better job. No follow up by TC. I called the office and was told I was on the schedule. No contact. I learned my lesson. Should have checked these other reviews and ripped up the contract.. read more

We employed Paver Care 18 months ago to repair some cracked mortar and shifting pavers on our stone patio. We were pleased with the initial work, but would have expected it to last more than a year and a half. We tried calling to see if they wanted to work with us to correct the issue, but despite multiple phone calls and messages left, we have received no response. I don't know if they're out of business, or just really poor customer service, but we've moved on to give someone else a chance to repair the apparently temporary fix they provided. read more

Disappointed beyond words. The crew does a decent job at standard paver realignment but anything beyond that is disaster. I had to remind them what was in the work order and chase them down before they left work undone. Careless digging cut my internet cable and worst of all, the job that was estimated was beyond their skill level. They said they had to custom source some material to complete it and that's the last I have seen or heard from them. Multiple calls and emails got absolutely no response. Now I have to find someone to clean up their mess. The only good thing is they didn't charge me for the work they did. Sadly I report poor follow-up and customer service to damage incurred during cleaning, re-sanding and sealing process. During power washing, two of three 24" square copings were chipped. We called Pavercare, Inc, who admitted the team made the chips, and they said they'd look into it and it would likely be covered under the Unilock warranty. The process began in early May. Since then, we've placed a number of calls and were told Unilock was going to get back to them. Now, after additional calls to Pavercare, none have been returned. read more

I had TC come out this past March and provide a quote for power washing, sanding and sealing my paver pool deck. He was very nice and easy to talk with, answered ALL my questions and left me with a written quote. After receiving competitive bids for the same work, I went with Pavercare and could not be happier. Run in the opposite direction as fast as you can!!! We have a bluestone walkway that was uneven. Once the stone was set, TC told them to put down the polymeric sand/grout knowing it was going to rain but said he would be back if it didn't harden. Why did I pay him? Sand never hardened! He came back alright, to say he would be back. But he never came. I'm sure he realized he would be losing $$ to make things right for us. I politely called, always getting voicemail. Until one day, I left the message saying, 'if they didn't come back I would bash them all over social media'. Well folks, guess why I am here!!! He allowed shoddy work and then doesn't stand by his warranty and word that he will come back out to repair!!!! If only we had seen the most recent reviews last year when I paid unethical TC do work for us. read more

Used this company a few years ago and was very happy with them. This time a completely different story. Hard to get them out to give estimate and then harder to get them to come and do the work. I was quoted one price and when the final bill can it was $300 more than what I was told and the guy in charge named DB called and said that it was correct. My fault for getting a verbal quote but I can't believe how rude and condescending this guy was. Also they put the wrong sealant on but they did come back and apply the correct sealant. Make sure everything is in writing. They are now very expensive and customer service is nonexistent! read more

I used Paver Care to fix my walkway approximately 3 years ago and was pleased with the work done. However at that time, their workers were very disrespectful of our landscaping and crushed a bush not even in close proximity to the walkway. It took 3 years to recover. Stupidly, I had them back to level our 20 ft round patio. It was originally supposed to take 2 days. They were done in 5 hrs., which was a red flag. They again were very disrespectful of my property. In fact the gentleman in charge went to the far corner of my yard (residential area) and took a leak. I saw him through my kitchen window and was disgusted. My neighbor behind me could see him also. The work was done slip shot and they did return after I took pictures and sent them to the company, TC. When they came back I mentioned to the gentleman in charge about using my yard as a urinal and he laughed. They fixed the terrible work (one hour) and left. Two days later I realized that they stole a brick from my walkway and replaced it with a smaller different color brick. I paid them because I made a poor judgement call by giving them a second chance. Not again. I have to find a better paver repair company to do power washing and re-sanding. Don't think of using them run the other way. read more

I am very disappointed in the treatment I received from Paver Care. I called for an estimate on the repair of our bluestone on the front steps. I was given an appointment but no one showed. I called back and arranged to have an estimate made when we went not going to be home where the estimator would put the paperwork in the mailbox. When we got home, no estimate and nothing came in the mail. I called a third time and expressed my concern about the treatment I had received and was told that the owner would call me. It is two days later and still no call. While we understand that Paver Care's parent company did not do the original installation, they have repaired this step before. I have lived in Western Springs my whole life and have never been treated this way by a local business. If they are too busy to do the work, just tell me. If is it too small a job, give me a call. But this lack of response is disrespectful and infuriating. read more
