Raise Rite treated us right, were well priced, came out quickly, to fix our SERIOUSLY sinking & practically LOPSIDED cement one-car garage slab. It's amazing what they can do nowdays with the foam jacking and I'm so happy with the result. Raise Rite didn't have issue with our relatively small job, or that I'm located on the Northshore, which is some distance from their office operations. I wrote a google review on this company also. They destroyed my expectations on mud lifting my patio, sidewalk and side patio for my home in Oswego IL. I cannot believe how good my concrete looks now. The price was unbeatable by any other quote we got. My wife did all the work, for once, finding a concrete company and man they did not disappoint. I called these people and was able to reach a real person (it turned out to be the estimator) right away. In fact, he even made it out that morning. He was professional and knew what he was doing, as far as I was concerned. That's a good start! I received a proposal in a reasonable time frame. In that email he states, "If you want to accept this estimate and move ahead with the project, simply fill out the "Acceptance of Proposal" and return it back to me. As soon as we receive your acceptance, we will contact you to schedule your work" My response; "I am likely going to accept this proposal but because this job is part of a larger project with the garage, I need an idea of when it could be done" This was his response: "In order to schedule, please sign the proposal and return back to me. Once I receive that, I will forward it to our office for scheduling. Right now, we are about 2-3 weeks out." This is just unacceptable, mostly because this "estimator" likely could have just helped me by answering my question and working with his own company (which I eventually did in 20 seconds) to get me at least a ROUGH date. I am not committing to something in writing that ultimately could be 3 weeks....or 8 weeks...or more.out. My response was "Let me check with another company. I'll let you know if we are going to go forward. The schedule is important to me and I would like a little commitment there." NO REPLY FROM RAISE-RITE. This floored me. As a business owner myself, it's unbelievable that you are okay to lose a job because you are too lazy to make a phone call and talk to your own company. I was determined to find someone else that would do the job and DESERVED the business because they cared about it. The other two of the top three concrete leveling people in Wheaton showing on Google were typical home contractors - unresponsive.This is just the seedy underworld of home contractors, and you either do it yourself or roll the dice. Based on this, I decided to try to salvage the project with Raise-Rite since I was now on my own. I called them, hoping to get someone who understands a customer, and was complexity surprised that they actually had people who could just say, "sure, let's see what we have", and schedule the job. MORAL OF THE STORY- a seriously broken piece of the chain can cost you business. Raise-Rite was propped up in this case because there were people WORSE in the sales process. Raise -Rite did a good job in the end, but when you have a process that makes people look for other options, you're really vulnerable. If you really can perform the job, as RR can do, it is an absolute crime to act indifferent, allowing opportunities to simply go away. when the rest of the organization know what they are doing and can accomplish their mission. read more

I've worked in the building trades and in the building inspection industry for over 40 years and I've seen all manner of construction work from the ridiculous to the sublime. I had sections of my driveway and sidewalk lifted last week and they were prompt and did a great job of that. My project was a challenge as slabs weren't perfect rectangles/squares. That resulted in them having to saw some larger joints to facilitate the job, which I wasn't expecting and now leaves larger areas for moisture to enter which was the original cause of the problem. I was frustrated and contacted the company with my concerns and pictures. There's now (unbelievably) snow on the ground so understandably not a quick fix this year. I was contacted by Jim Hoffman who not only extended my warranty by a year but also offered to have a crew come and caulk the joints next spring. Jim has been very responsive and understanding. So far my overall experience is positive and would recommend them. read more

The estimate was incredibly detailed and fast; they drove out to the property to inspect it the same day that I made the request. They responded with a quote the same day, with detailed explanation and photos to support their explanation of work to be performed. Rates quoted seemed reasonable. We haven't had work performed yet, but will be sure to rate again once we are ready. read more

I am a Realtor with a deadline. I called on Tuesday morning for someone to call me about viewing the job, I was told an estimator would call me. No Call. On Wednesday morning I called back and told him I had a deadline and really needed to talk to someone. Well here it is Thursday late morning and no call. In the mean time I have talked to 3 other people and had 2 out to the house. They have lost a job as far as I am concerned. read more

These guys are cons. Raised concrete to with-in 2 inches of completion and said it would cost extra to finish the job. Said they could only use so much product. I hired them to complete the job. How do I know how much product it is going to take. It is cheaper to bust out the concrete and repour. I'm a concrete man. I should have done it myself or hired one of my friends to do it. It would have cost less. I'm retired and thought it would be less of a mess. Now i have to build a step to get into my front door. They were friendly that's all I can say. Rip offs. read more
