Aescape massage
Irene W.

Omg wow. I'm so so glad I came here. I was checking out Aescape-- a 100% automated massager because technology is impressive and we're living in the future in 2025. It's about $60 for a 30 min massage but I also got a complimentary LED, Cryotherapy, or Sauna social with my booking. The staff here IS INCREDIBLY FRIENDLY AND AWESOME. Like 10/10 give each of them a raise. They know customer service, they're so kind, and they make you FEEL good. Thank you for hiring amazing people here!!!! The Aescape massage was so cool, so high tech, so relaxing. I kinda loved that I didn't have a person touching me. I booked a full back and glutes massage and I have no regrets. You could adjust however you liked whether with more intensity or lighter touch. I went with medium and adjusted up to firm as my pleased. My mid back section couldn't handle the pressure though so I went lighter for my mid back. I felt so relaxed after my massage and 30 minutes went by too fast. You get to also choose songs from their already curated playlists from chill EDM, top hits, to classic rock or hip hop. They even have a tripod set up so you can record yourself which is so with the times I LOVE it. I'm glad I got the glutes massage because I didn't realize how sore my bum was. I've never done cryotherapy before either and I'm so glad I tried it out. It felt like I was stepping into a snowstorm at mammoth. I chose intermediate setting and I was freezing but I realized I probably should have gone full naked for the best experience. Next time! I even got a small little tour on the way to my massage and they have PRIVATE SAUNA ROOMS with cold plunge and sauna and shower time?! You can fit up to 3 people too in a private room. Literally so fun I can't wait to come back with my friends!!! I'm so glad I came here the studio is beautiful, sleek, modern and feels so high end for reasonable prices. First timers also get a 30% discount so I def am taking advantage! This is a futuristic wellness center. Something I've been missing in my life. I had a really great time and I cannot wait to come back. My stress levels are so low after visiting Pause Studio!

Float Therapy Tank
Daniela B.

I had been wanting to try a float tank for a while & when a friend got me a gift card for Pause Studio that was the first thing I booked. The appointment is for an hour & they give you 5 minutes to get ready (take off your clothes & rinse yourself) & then 15 minutes afterwards to shower & get dressed. The room is private & has a shower inside, so I felt super comfortable. They provide towels, shampoo, conditioner, & body wash to use. The guy that worked in the front was really nice & showed me how everything worked -- it's super simple to use. You can choose to leave the blue light & meditation music on or turn everything off for a complete sensory deprivation experience. I was a little nervous about closing the tank & feeling claustrophobic, so I spent the first 15 minutes or so with the tank open. Once I was relaxed I decided to close it fully. Surprisingly, it was very calming. You have to make sure you're not tense & focus on your breathing to have the best experience. I can't wait to go back & do the float tank again, as well as try the sauna, cold plunge & LED lights.

First and foremost I have to thank Mary for making my experience here the best!! I am so glad Pause opened up in my area and I saw that they had some pre opening packages so I can have an opportunity to try the studio. I booked an appt for cryotherapy however 1 hour prior to my appt they notified me that the cryo was down and they apologized and asked me to come in for an led therapy instead and it would be complimentary. They were very accommodating and I understand things happen so I appreciate them for offering this. I loved the led therapy bed. It was nice to get a tour of the whole place and just overall get a feel for the studio. The studio is just soooo luxurious!!!!! My 2nd time was today and I have to say I am feeling so rejuvenated. I came in for compression therapy on my legs, hips and cryotherapy. I've been having really bad sciatica pain recently and I have to say it really helped out a lot. The facility is clean, making an appointment is super easy especially online or via text, they are very responsive, oh and there is street parking or parking in the back. The cryotherapy was awesome I was able to handle it for 3 mins 30 seconds and I even did the Intermediate Pro. They give you gloves, robe, ear muff, slippers, head phones to listen to music and a mask to cover up. I didn't wear a mask and my face was cold but I did it and handled it like a champ. Mary though totally helped me through it she is sooooo personable and just amazing!!! So Mary stood outside and gave me the run down and what to expect during cryotherapy and told me she would show me the time and the half way marks. While I'm dancing and trying to stay warm she was dancing with me on the outside this put the biggest smile on my face and just the experience 10x better. Kudos to her for the giggles and motivation. The compression therapy was a different experience Mary and Conner walked me through the process, helped me get set up and checked on me to make sure I was okay during the treatment. The treatment is about 30mins and I immediately felt better. I cannot wait to come back again in January to continue my treatments I'm so excited to try the float tank and the cold plunge. All in all great place to recover and truly take the time to Pause. They offer great membership pricing and also non membership packages as a very great price. I have plenty of sessions and I can totally see myself coming here every 2 weeks to get that recovery. The studio is beautifully designed!! Highly recommend Pause they are located on Ventura blvd at the corner. Thanks Mary for making my experience an experience I won't forget. I appreciate your professionalism, kindness and you!!!

Ecstatic that a Pause studio opened up closer to home. I tried float therapy for the first time today, which is their sensory deprivation tank. I admit I was a bit nervous at first because I get anxiety about being in bodies of water lol... but this experience was so incredibly relaxing that I cannot wait to do it again. It felt like I was suspended in jello- such a strange but cool feeling. The facility provides ear plugs, towels, makeup removing towelettes and ointment (if needed) prior to getting into the tank. There is a shower inside the room with Le Labo products to use post float. The ambiance is beautiful and relaxing, as expected from Pause. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Honestly, I can't wait to come back!

I've never been happier about receiving my IV care. The prices are fantastic, the nurse seems to be happy and passionate about caring for me. The staff members are friendly, and never fails to make me feel at home !! Higher recommend!!!

The staff did reach out after this experience and offered my friend and a free personal sauna session. It was a wonderful experience and the staff was much better this time. My friend and I were reassured that team coaching and training were implemented for the staff after this incident occurred. My friend and I are looking forward to seeing if change, if any, occurs after this training was implemented.

Cryo Chamber

What an amazing experience. From the moment you step in your shoulders, just relax. The space was cozy, and the rooms were cleaned impeccably. Staff was extremely helpful! I would like to mention an associate named Valerie, who answered more questions than I should have asked. She was very knowledgeable.

I had an amazing experience at Pause Studio in Studio City! Briah, made my visit exceptional. His knowledge and enthusiasm for health and wellness were evident throughout my time there. I tried the contrast therapy, which included the cold plunge and sauna, and felt incredibly rejuvenated afterward--ready to seize the day! I also tried red light therapy, which has tons of benefits for the skin, mood, and joint health. I'm excited to go back and try the other services Briah recommended during the super insightful tour he gave me of the facility. Highly recommend Pause Studio for a great wellness experience to enjoy by yourself or with a group of friends.

I also love that the infrared sauna sessions are set up in your own private room, which makes the experience feel even more relaxing and personal. They also do a great job of creating a sense of community. From time to time, they host special weekend events with thoughtful touches like goodie bags and guest sponsors, which makes you feel really valued as a member. I've even joined one of their group hikes, which was such a fun way to connect outside the studio. They've also brought in guest instructors for things like dance and Zumba-style classes, which keeps things fresh and interesting. What really keeps me coming back is the overall experience. The space is always clean, calm, and beautifully maintained, and I love how easy it is to just show up -- mats, towels, and props are all provided. Parking in the back is also a huge plus, especially for LA. I've found myself telling friends about it and inviting them as my guests, which says a lot. It genuinely feels like a little wellness sanctuary, and I'm really glad I found this place.

My experience with Artha ended very poorly after several years of association with the facility…read more I received numerous promotional messages encouraging trial visits, so I attended both the West LA and Studio City locations to determine which classes and schedule worked best before committing to a long-term membership. This is a normal step for anyone evaluating a fitness or wellness membership. Later, management accused me of violating their policies simply for attending both locations and permanently revoked my access. The explanation provided was inconsistent with the promotional outreach they themselves sent encouraging trial participation. The situation escalated further when I accompanied a referred guest using a guest pass that had been given to me by another member. Instead of handling the matter professionally or discussing it in good faith, "Miguel" imposed a permanent ban and stated he would not correspond further. The lack of flexibility, unwillingness to review context, and overall tone from management was disappointing for a business that markets itself as a community-oriented wellness space. Potential members should carefully review all policies and be aware that enforcement may be strict and final regardless of circumstances.

That never happened. Every shot after my package purchase was deducted from my paid package across three membership cycles while my complimentary shots went unused. When I raised this in writing, I was given an audit that actually confirmed the problem rather than resolving it. A single customer complaint should never be enough reason to harass and disrespect another paying customer without verifying facts first. I would strongly recommend avoiding this place. Professionalism and customer respect are clearly not priorities here. He also thought my name was "Hayes" until I corrected him so who knows if he even called the right client. What a joke.
