I'm so glad I found Muscle Lab. I know it's an amazing place for athletes, but it's also incredible for people like me whose bodies have gotten out of whack from injuries and not moving enough. After foot surgery and hip surgery, I felt tight, stiff, and honestly intimidated to get my body moving again. This has completely changed that. The myofascial release is amazing--you can literally feel your muscles letting go of years of tension and moving back into proper alignment. The cupping and tissue scraping were incredible too. I walked out feeling looser, more mobile, and like my circulation and posture had already improved. The biggest difference, though, was Johanna. She took the time to understand what my body needed instead of giving me the same treatment everyone else gets. Just by looking at my stance, she was able to explain why I was having certain pain. They're not doctors and don't pretend to be, but their knowledge of body movement is impressive. I've watched them work with other clients, and every session is tailored to the individual, which says a lot about the level of care here. After my second visit, I signed up for the membership because it's reasonably priced, flexible, and doesn't lock you into a long commitment. The facility is also spotless, and it's obvious everyone there takes pride in what they do. Whether you're an athlete or just someone trying to get your body feeling good again, I highly recommend giving Muscle Lab a try. read more

I have notoriously tight neck and shoulders and I have tried so many different treatments and massages to try to alleviate the pain, stiffness, and tightness. I saw an ad on Facebook for 50% of myofascial release and decided to try it out. This was my first experience with myofascial release and did some research ahead of time but I just went in with an open mind. There appears to be a small parking lot on the side of the building that Muscle Lab is in but I wasn't sure so I parked on the street. My appointment was at 10am so there were plenty of spots available. I was greeted right away when I entered and the therapist who was working with me, I think her name was Emma, got me a robe to change into as I was wearing leggings. (make sure you wear shorts if you're getting a full body treatment as they'll work on your quads) Emma was very knowledgeable, sweet, and had a bubbly personality. You could tell she really loved her job and her coworkers. She did myofascial release, which from what I experienced, is applying pressure to areas that are tight and need a release. She also used a heated scraper and did cupping on my shoulders and quads. Compression boots were also part of the service but I was short on time as I went during a work day so I skipped that. If you haven't tried compression boots before, you've got to try it. It feels like a firm hug on your legs and feels great! The pressure applied to my shoulders and the scraping felt good. I am so tight in these areas, any pressure feels nice. The work done on my quads was really painful, I won't lie, but it also felt weirdly good. I think it's because I rarely pay any attention to this area. I felt really good for days after my treatment. Regular massages only bring me relief for a few hours so this was a pleasant surprise. My appointment was about and hour and a half without the compression. I signed up for another myofascial release as well as stretch therapy ( this was also half off) and I can't wait to go back. I'm really hoping with monthly treatments, my neck and shoulders will get somewhat better. Wish me luck! read more

Was doing a whole day of health and wellness focused appointments and this was my last appointment as a reward for everything else I got done that day Not only did I want a massage, but I wanted to try cupping, and Liem was my therapist. Liam was very warm and friendly ask questions also a good communicator. In the beginning of this massage, it was really lquiet and calm, but as more people came in and nonstop conversation started it really harsh the overall mellow vibe . In general, my body felt good after the experience, Liem was definitely able to dig deep into use the muscles. This is a comfortable and plus size friendly environment.. read more

Much needed body massage and restoration. We had their Myofascial Release Session Max which includes theragun massage, cupping and scraping therapy! The scraping is so amazing, yes it does hurt but it has the pain that releases my body from tightening. After my session I thought I will be so sore but I was not, it released my muscles from tension and reduced body pain. It was amazing and I recommend it to my athletic friends! I think the only downside for me is that the studio is open, meaning there will be no rooms or dividers between you and other people, if you value privacy you might need to check the place first. They do give you blanket if you need it to cover yourself. The therapist can come and go because they also answer to other customers like they will answer phone calls or anyone that walks in. Aside from this everything else is good. We had a badminton tournament the next day and we felt amazing and in shape! read more

I've been going to muscle lab for the past year and absolutely love the results. I work out a ton so recovery has been a huge game changer in maintaining healthy muscle tissue. Specifically just had a 2 hour session with Andrew and feel like a new human. Definitely book yourself a session, your body deserves it! read more

First time I had Andrew a 23 yr old with strong hands. He was amazing but then from what I saw they all are. This business has an amazing concept of new age body work combines with compression sleeves. The second visit I had Johanna who was Andrew's supervisor. She's a 24 yr old dancer and body work specialist who really put the hurt on me (oh in a good way) she busted up a lot of old scar tissue freeing up movement and opened up my breathing. This is therapy that keeps on giving. I slept like a baby and never felt better the next day! read more

Been to this location many times before, but today was exceptional, as Ariana made the whole experience different and wonderful. From her welcome smile and attitude to walking me through the menu options versus what I had before and double checking on my history with my medications lists. The experience with the Revival IV was amazing and she got light hands when it came to the needle injection placed on my arm. She offered waters and leggings for Compression therapy, and she was attentive and friendly the whole time we were there. If you ever there and if you're planning on stopping by for any kind of therapy, I suggest you call in advance and check if Ariana is there to assist you and check you in, and provide you with the best possible treatment options and plan. Thank you for hiring this level of professionals. read more

I found this place through an ad on Instagram and I love myofascial massages as I workout a lot. I have tried different places before but I am very particular because I NEED hard deep massages, I can't stand when it just feels like they slather cream all over you. I saw an ad for 50% off and decided to book. I had Andrea as my therapist and WOW, just wow as she definitely understood the assignment. I think she even almost made me cry with how deep and strong she was but my body definitely needed it! I truly enjoyed my session, however, it is really expensive compared to other places I've gone to. As much as I loved my massage, it's way too much and out of my budget. Would go back if the price was more reasonable or maybe I'll treat myself to this place once in a blue moon. Other than that, I definitely recommend! read more

I love it here! Everyone who works here is so nice. I get the myofascial release which is so great if you have muscle soreness. Alexa, Liam, and Johanna have all been amazing and very knowledgeable. I wish there was more of a discount with the packages because the service is super pricey, especially since it's not a private experience. Overall definitely recommend it. read more

My fiancée and I have been going hard in the gym and were on the lookout for a solid recovery spot. We always pass by Muscle Lab on Whitsett & Ventura finally popped in, and it did not disappoint. I got a myofascial release with Johanna (cupping, scraping, massage) and she was locked in. Broke down my tension areas and gave solid tips on what to work on outside the session. Very knowledgeable. The whole place is a vibe..super clean, well put together, and the aesthetic is dialed for Instagram. We did the leg compressions after (highly recommend) and we're eyeing the IV's next, especially after a long weekend of sending. If you care about recovery, you should probably pull up. Most of these other recovery spots feel like robbery for what you pay..We'll def be back read more

This is not your typical massage. Myofascial release is a deep and targeted technique that requires a well-trained and very skilled therapist. Alexa in Studio City is amazing. I was her last appointment of the day, and her thumbs and fingers were as strong as ever. Her technique is excellent. She really helped relieve the tension I've been carrying in my neck and shoulders. It's expensive, but totally worth it. read more

Whatever season you are in, athletic recovery, injury rehab or simple self care--Muscle Lab is the cheat code! I've been healing from a disc extrusion for 3.5 years (I declined surgery for personal reasons). I battled with consistent muscle spasms and pain that made it difficult for me to get my body back to the activity level that it was used to. My journey hasn't been linear but these last few months of getting consistent myofascial massages has elevated my healing tremendously! I've seen many PTs, Chiros, Acupuncturists and specialists but none of the manual work compares to the quality body work I've received at Muscle Lab. I love the cupping and scraping-- all of the services are top tier wellness. The vibe is like premium comfort and chill with a good playlist. So glad google steered me here! I'm proud to be a member and refer the brand to my family and friends. read more

The best service! They take their time explaining treatments and what's best for your needs.

I'd like to express my gratitude and appreciation for this wellness establishment. Since my first visit I was greeted and taken care of so well. I am a Postpartum Doula/Lactation Consultant and work extremely heavy hours the UHNW clients in the privacy of their Estates. During my off time I basque in loads of self-care to alleviate the pressure. Ariana is a personal favorite RN whom is kind, professional and always very attentive. Because of this I have become a member. Thank you Muscle Lab! read more

The massage seemed pretty good, but how can one really tell when the masseuse also has to answer the phone and greet new guests as they walk in - because there are no massage rooms and you're just tits up on the table for all the folks walking past the street facing window for passerby's to see. Never mind the bro-tastic locker room ambiance coming from the lobby as compression boots whir and the game plays loudly. I mean, I could get past the Home Depot chic of this place if there were some effort on upkeep, but the floors are crazy dirty and if I have to ask if your non sheeted table has been cleaned I'd recommend grabbing a Lysol wipe so I can see that dirty table be cleaned. The idea is great, but the execution was really awful. Zero privacy, these masseuses are clearly being rushed and asked to do work they shouldn't be (and seriously, you have people on IVs sitting next to the door?!?!) and it was all just like some high school friend's dad opened a massage parlor in their garage and it was some how normalized because everyone else had such poor hygiene. read more

My husband and I went for the first time to Muscle Lab and had the most AMAZING EXPERIENCE. Emma did work on my husband's back. She got out knots that have been bothering him for months. Her service was phenomenal and he left feeling amazing!! Brandon was super helpful up front and even provided me complimentary compression boots while I waited for my husband. The team is all incredibly kind, thoughtful, and truly fun to be around. We booked our next appointment immediately. Thank you all for such a wonderful visit! read more

Ari was awesome. She definitely wanted me to hate her with the type of stretching that was happening to my hamstring. Definitely painful but like a good kind of pain if that makes sense. The massage after the stretching was also a game changer with the way I can feel just how tight the muscles were. She was very sociable and was happy to answer any and all questions. I'm banking that this all pays off in the end... I can't walk today without using a crutch but I will certainly be returning to this place. No pain no game! read more

I LOVE this place. The staff is truly so knowledgeable on everything. I've gone when I've been feeling like I'm coming down with something and instantly their selection of IVs have helped. I use to be a dancer and have quite a few back and joint issues and their team has always found ways to correct, stretc, remove pain, and help me feel better with different options that they offer there. They even make sure I am sent home with exercises to make sure the pain or issues don't return. They explain everything thoroughly about what's going on and how they're going to work on it. Truly love this place! read more
