Strawberry Matcha and Brown Sugar Boba
    Queenie H.

I'm a sucker for trying new boba shops. This is more of a local business so that's always great to support a small shop. There were plenty of fun unique flavors as well as original favorites so there's something for everyone. I got the strawberry matcha while my boyfriend tried their brown sugar boba. My matcha was light and the tangy strawberry jelly at the bottom added a nice contrast. It was topped with a salty cream foam with a generous amount of biscoff crumbles. Both drinks ended up being $19 total, which is super steep compared to other boba shops. However, since this was a small business and I could see over the counter that quality ingredients were used, that made up for the higher price. I love the ambiance of the shop as the walls were adorned with flowers, everything was pink, and the chairs were velvety and very luxurious. If we were in town, I would stop by again and try their other flavors and continue to support the local boba shop!

I was roaming around the area and found this new bubble tea place. Inside the place is spacious and the ambience is really good. I went for a brown sugar fresh milk and a passion fruit freshy. Both were really delicious. I am impressed with the texture of boba. Most Connecticut places haven't figured out how to get it right. These guys got it. All customers seemed to be happy with their drinks.

Exterior on Main Street in Willimantic, Ct

Paula & Jane's is a breath of fresh air on Main Street in Willimantic. The exterior is beautifully painted and decorated with gorgeous flowers. Currently living in San Francisco this exterior could easily be in the marina or Noe valley or Sacramento street. The interior is immaculate and the boba itself is fresh, flavors yummy and vibrant. The drinks could use a bit more tapioca but everything is being done right here! Enjoy these yummy drinks delicious and exciting.

Absolutely adorable spot with sweet charm and delicious boba/tea. Friendly customer service. Quaint local spot for a Boba (which is hard to find in this area of the state).

    Seating area.

This is an adorable boba shop. Cute decorations and the boba was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised and will be back.

Delicious, they're the sweetest people, definitely worth the money!

All the pastries here are great. I love the matcha, some of the best quality I've had in Connecticut.

300 locations world wide... unbelievable!! Australia, Singapore.. London...with over 7 locations…read morejust in Connecticut. They specialize in fresh fruit and milk bubble teas. They use natural ingredients, fresh fruit ..fresh milk and none of the powder stuff which is what sets them apart. Some of their signature drinks are crème brûlée series, whale crystal series... But I wanted to get what I had gotten last week, "strawberry milk tea with boba".. but I didn't know if it was with milk tea or just milk so we ended up with one each... it tasted so good.. almost like blending fresh strawberries with milk and with the warm boba to chew on ... extremely delighted!! However I did not like the one with milk tea as much.

I got my usual oreo milk tea with 30 percent sugar and jelly boba, and it was the perfect treat, as always. I got the matcha egg puffs, and they looked so cute with their little smiley faces! The flavor and texture of the egg puffs was also delicious and standard, but I was disappointed because I was expecting an oozy matcha filling in the center, and, as you can see in the photo I posted, there is barely any filling at all. The matcha flavor was very weak, and I was basically just eating a plain egg puff. It was still good, but I hope their other flavors have better filling or it was just an off batch.

December 2025 Yikes!…read moreThis place is not where you come for hot cocoa or hot tea. There are too many choices in the area to buy a good quality hot drink. This is not. The service was horrendous. My drink was four dollars and I got charged a dollar more for no reason. Making it five dollars. The drink was not hot and tasted more like water than hot cocoa. We asked for it to be heated up and they said they could not do that. They told us the half-and-half makes the hot chocolate cooler than if we were to order just hot chocolate with water. I thought that was a problem. But then I had to deal with the rude attitude of two of their employees. When we told them that our drink was not hot and asked them to heat it up, they told us that they could not do so. They said they would have to remake it and they could just put hot water in with no cream. The snippy, sassy attitude was not appreciated. The adorable ambience of the teahouse is worth a visit. More of a walk-through. But I would never come here again with the attitude of two of their female employees. I can't imagine if I was rude to them how much worse they would have treated me. There are too many choices in this cute village to spend your money. Save it. Do not come here.
