Chain with several locations in Paris, including this one and at the train station. I'm not sure if I just came at the right time and these were baked fresh but this was the best pain au chocolat I've had in my life. It was slightly warm and basically so soft it melted in my mouth. Also got a madeleine and it was just ok. Bit dry, only one I've ever gotten at a bakery and just have the Costco and Starbucks ones to compare to.

Pretty good. I really love the quiet ambiance of the upstairs and the staff were pretty nice. They don't toast your stuff for you unless you ask. The cappuccino was sooo not worth tho. $5.25 euros and watery asf it was so gross but I still drank it. I got the La Montrouge sandwich which was GAS. also the almond crossain't was really above average very crunch on outside and soft on the inside such a nice petit déjeuner, will have to try the other locations

Stop to your randomly while in the opera area. I have read about Paul for years and they have lots of locations in New York City as well. The staff was very kind and not busy when I came in luckily and I was able to get a hot sandwich as well as a great desert pastry. It was nice to see open tables that were fairly clean to sit down and take your time to enjoy your meal. There is also an upstairs area here but I remained on the main floor. Pricing here is very fair, considering the competition and the high-end Aryan, which this particular Paul is located. I will definitely come back.

Perfect place for an afternoon pick-me-up! My family felt the need for an afternoon snack and stumbled upon this branch of Paul. We shared a strawberry Nutella crepe which was paper thin and had just the right amount of sweetness. We also had a couple of coffees - their mocha coffee was a treat! Although it was a bit too sweet for my liking, it had a rich chocolaty taste and I did enjoy the whipped cream on top. It came with some sort of cookie on the side. Major plus for this Cafe having fairly strong WiFi! We were able to do some quick research while enjoying our snacks.

The food is okay but the service leaves much to be desired. I know this is equivalent to the Tim Horton's of France, but still... Tim Horton's provides better service than this. The pear tart was good, but the matcha latte was way too strong and bitter. The giant macarons were a little too sweet. There was seating available on the second floor along with a restroom which was fairly clean.

Although a chain, they were very uniform with their standards and never disappointing. My go to place for macaron and even purchased several gift boxes of macaron to bring back to the states! I've had all the flavors and my favorite is the raspberry!

A great bakery/patisserie in Paris, everything the I tried here was amazing. The pastries are just full of flavor and well prepared. Words fail me to explain the flavors in the lemon tart that I tried which was my favorite! Croissant was flaky, buttery and just the right amount of crust. All their tarts are just delicious. I also tried the espresso and it was a great one... Can't comment on sandwiches as I was not able to try them. Wish I had more days in Paris to be able to try more items.

Quick service, great pastries, breads & sandwiches. 2 green salad options & fruit cups available. Lots of chilled bottle can drink options as well. Staff speaks some English & helpful.

Found this bakery in an alleyway across the street from the pier that heads towards the Musee de Louvre. It was super busy with people walking in and out buying baked loaves of bread or their pastries in the display cases. Apparently, bread is major part of French diet so good fresh bread sells pretty fast. The display cases housed a lot of desserts from chocolate log cakes, to cookies, to eclairs (salted caramel and chocolate), etc. to fresh sandwiches and fresh bread that people were just buying up left and right. Inside the store, there are no chairs. Instead there are high above the waist table tops where people can stand around to eat their foods to eliminate the need to waste space for chairs - ingenious. I didn't want anything too heavy since I hadn't had dinner yet and I just wanted to try something so I ended up getting an salted caramel eclair.. which I found to just be ok. There was definite flavor in the eclair, but it got too sweet towards the end that I wasn't able to eat more than half of it and had the pass the remainder off to someone else to finish. Overall, I think the breads and sandwiches are pretty good, but their desserts were just okay to me.

Lovely decor in a city bakery.

I spoke in my best French when we arrived and we were handed the English menu, how did he know? We arrived too late for breakfast, but they let me have a breakfast anyway! I had a simple half baguette with jam and coffee. I'm not usually a coffee drinker but this was so smooth that I had another. My wife went for Quiche and a chocolate cream pastry, both were excellent so we got a Pain au Chocolate to go as well. A nice decor with welcoming and very friendly service. We'll be back.

Paul: this was the LARGE late. Lol.

I didn't realize this place is a chain. They have good food. The prepared sandwiches are not bad at all, much better than what you'd get at Starbucks. The pastries are delicious and the coffee is great too. they people who work here speak english and are kind. I can't remember if the accept credit card or not, my only hangup is the small cup size. The large was tiny. But, i guess thats how it is in the rest of the world. I took off stars for the tiny cups and limited vegetarian options.

Can never get enough of their croissant and their mango pineapple danish. Just be sure to stop by at any location it is conveniently located and try. I am so much used to Paul croissant now that i feel like gonna miss it so much when i am back in the States

Great pastry shop not far from the Paris catacombs. Cordial service, tasty pastries. Small area but it allowed our party of 5 people.

Rude staffs! They were keep letting others pay first. But food and desserts were good. Also, if you eat inside, price is different.

Another great boulangerie. This place is slightly larger than the one down the street with a…read moreslightly wider selection. It gets a cheaper rating but I thought the prices were very comparable to the other boulangeries in the neighborhood.Again they had great croissants (I tried them at every boulangerie we visited) and their large macaron "sandwiches" were also delicious (although not my MOST favorite of the ones we tried in Paris). This place was also just a few steps from our apartment so we visited it a lot as well. None of the women that served us during the week spoke English but again, you don't need much in a boulangerie. The service was always friendly and efficient. Often this place was busy but service was quick. No outdoor seating, and they were open until 8pm which was awesome. Later in the day you'll find that pastries and bread are not as fresh but even though we got macaron "sandwiches" at 7pm and they seemed a little damp from the fresh fruit in them, the taste was delicious. The outer shells of the macarons were slightly tough but the overall texture wasn't bad. the berries (we tried frambriose and fraise, or raspberry and strawberry) were incredibly fresh and tasty. I'm sure if we had purchased them earlier in the day they would have been even better. We also had the coffee eclairs and they were amazing!!! I don't care that much for eclairs as I do no like the type of bread used for them, but these were good enough that I'd get them again. The filling was rich and the coffee taste was outstanding.
