There was no line when my family and I showed up, but we were greeted with angry and rude service. I understand that Parisians aren't the biggest fans of Americans, but my sister was trying to communicate with their staff with the French she learned in high school and the woman working wouldn't give her the time of day. It was difficult to order because of the staff's attitude and dismissiveness. Would definitely recommend skipping out on this place and going to a local spot with people who treat you with some decency.

This place was outstanding and was recommended by our flight attendant. Please do yourself a favor and get the raspberry macaron. That was the BEST EVER! The raspberry filling knocked this out of the park. The hot chocolate was think and rich, yummy! For 3 macarons, 3 mini chocolate croissants and 2 medium hot chocolates we spent $25 Euros. I would 1000% come here again!

Paul. They offer petite dejouner here for only 3 or 4 Euro

Paul is one of the few chains I saw while I was in Paris. We stopped by on two occasions during our stay because it's easy to order their petite dejourner, eat, and then quickly be on your way. The petite dejourner (3 euro) by the way is just a coffee and one of their pastries, both times I ordered a cafe creme and a croissant on one occasion, and a choclatine on another. For chain food; this was pretty delicious. The croissant was flaky on the outside, and pillowy and airy on the inside. The coffee was on point as seemed to be my experience practically everywhere I had coffee in Paris. If you're looking for typical English breakfast of eggs and bacon, you wont find that here, but don't let that deter you; the pastries and coffee are good.

Looking for a quick lunch between the Louvre and the Big Bus Tour office, we were drawn in by the lunch set at Paul. The ladies behind the counter were kind and patient with my limited French skills, and we mosey-ed our way to the upstairs lounge area. Contrasting the hard bar stools downstairs, the upstairs was adorned with large, plush chairs, very suitable for long study sessions or just chilling. There is also a restroom available for patrons, but it is not kept well, either by patrons or staff, who knows. The food was relatively simple, but well executed. The pastries were what really blew us away. Overall, the meal was light, yet filling, and left us with a spring in our step to continue touring the city.

Another wonderful Parisian Bakery that happens to be a chain! PAUL was one of the many wonderful bakeries that we visited in the Latin Quarter of Paris. The brightly lit, cheery bakery is very modern and attracted a large business crowd during breakfast. There is an option to dine in, but we just ordered our pastries to go at the bakery counter. I tried the Chocolate Beignet and the Escargot Pain aux Raisins. Both were heavenly! The item that really "wowed" me was the fresh squeezed orange juice. A little pricey for the small cup, but so good!!! It appears they have opened several locations in the U.S. I hope they open a location in Tampa soon!!!

I never expected a chain to be so awesome or even have such quality food, but then again, this is France! We ordered a few sandwiches to go and a gigantic macaron and they were all awesome! My daughter ate every morsel and wanted more, so we got some more for the train later. The stacks and stacks of sandwiches are so appetizing, also you can grab a whole baguette at a discount if you spend a certain amount of money on your order. They also have prixe menu for you to have options and desserts and soups or salads to go with your meal. Paul, thanks for saving us every time we were famished from sightseeing!

I tried Paul back in July 2018 during my tour of Paris. Here are my thoughts (which the other reviews pretty much state already, nothing new here)... Pros: - Lots of clean seating with the option to dine in - Calm and tranquil café setting perfect for writing, studying, etc. - Everyone speaks English! My French is pretty much limited to "merci" and they respected that. - Convenient, quick breakfast stop. Cons: - As the other reviews say, the quality here is quite similar to Starbucks bakery items -- I wouldn't go so far as to compare it to Tim Hortons. - With locations in the States, it hardly seems like an authentic shop (if that's what you're going for -- I don't see the problem with expanding one's business internationally).

Give me one of everything. Seriously. Such good prices and amazing pastries. If you go here and don't get a macaron, you're wrong. Hit this spot multiple times while in town and we never disappointed.

Not my favorite croissant in Paris. Omelette was just okay. Hot chocolate and coffee was good. Service was lovely.

Another great boulangerie. This place is slightly larger than the one down the street with a…read moreslightly wider selection. It gets a cheaper rating but I thought the prices were very comparable to the other boulangeries in the neighborhood.Again they had great croissants (I tried them at every boulangerie we visited) and their large macaron "sandwiches" were also delicious (although not my MOST favorite of the ones we tried in Paris). This place was also just a few steps from our apartment so we visited it a lot as well. None of the women that served us during the week spoke English but again, you don't need much in a boulangerie. The service was always friendly and efficient. Often this place was busy but service was quick. No outdoor seating, and they were open until 8pm which was awesome. Later in the day you'll find that pastries and bread are not as fresh but even though we got macaron "sandwiches" at 7pm and they seemed a little damp from the fresh fruit in them, the taste was delicious. The outer shells of the macarons were slightly tough but the overall texture wasn't bad. the berries (we tried frambriose and fraise, or raspberry and strawberry) were incredibly fresh and tasty. I'm sure if we had purchased them earlier in the day they would have been even better. We also had the coffee eclairs and they were amazing!!! I don't care that much for eclairs as I do no like the type of bread used for them, but these were good enough that I'd get them again. The filling was rich and the coffee taste was outstanding.
