From start to finish, the experience was smooth, professional, and stress-free. Juan, the owner, came out the very next day to assess the damage. He took his time to thoroughly inspect everything, explained the situation in detail, and by that evening, he had a clear and fair quote ready for me. I really appreciated how transparent and responsive he was throughout the entire process. We scheduled the work in two parts--first the downstairs, then the stairs and upstairs. The job involved removing the damaged laminate and old carpet, and replacing everything with luxury premium vinyl. Juan's team showed up on time, carefully moved all my furniture and belongings, and got right to work. They kept me abreast of the work and schedule along the way. Chris quickly explained the process and filed the claim with the insurance company which then all the pieces started to fall into place. After dealing with a messy water damage in the bathroom and not knowing where to start; my bathroom got repaired in no time by Lartek Restoration. The team was professional and very knowledgeable, they were clean and used tarps and all the equipment to close off the area. On the hallways they used plastic to insure my floors were protected. We interviewed 5 companies and felt most comfortable with American Dream. It's a family owned company. We felt we would get a more customized and personalized effort to get us back in our home. The owners Benjamin and Nikki were incredible in every way. Our house was a big job. We accumulated too much stuff over our life times. Every single item in our house had to be packed out and stored. Every item had to be cleaned. Our entire house had to be cleaned from top to bottom. Nikki and her crew worked harder than anybody I've ever seen to get the job done and get us back in our house as soon as possible. They showed up on time every day and worked long hours without ever complaining about the magnitude of the job. Their positive attitude was contagious. We had some fairly valuable possessions. They were very careful with every single item in our house and nothing got lost or broken. We are back in our house now and it's cleaner than it was before the fire. There's not a trace or smell of smoke or contamination. American Dream went above and beyond our expectations. The question people often ask is "Would you use them again?". The answer from us is a resounding "Absolutely!". It just so happens that we will have that opportunity because, now that we are back in our home, we can now turn our attention to our rental house in Altadena that was impacted even worse by the fires. I was charged for work that was never completed, and when I requested the invoice to be corrected, I noticed that every charge on the revised invoice had been increased. This king of behavior feels highly unethical. Unfortunately, I had to work with them because they were brought in through my insurance company. But based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to avoid Green Solution Environmental Services. I also want to caution that they appear to operate under another name - Genesis - which I was later told is essentially the same company. This dual identity only adds to the confusion and lack of transparency. In my opinion, it's best to steer clear of both Green Solutions and Genesis. I would not recommend them under any circumstances.

Almost immediately, I spoke with Daniel Castaneda, Mitigation Supervisor, who was able test my house for moisture, and then guide me through the mitigation process ahead of me. I have an older home, and Daniel was able to quickly set up testing for asbestos and then (unfortunately) asbestos abatement. Though the situation was stressful for me and my family, Daniel was reassuring, easy to reach and responsive to texting. I always felt that I was being well taken care of. After asbestos abatement, Brian Block, Project Director, inspected my home to let me know what to expect during the restoration process. He was also reassuring and friendly! He had great repair ideas and even knew my insurance adjuster and was able to quickly work with insurance to prepare a fair estimate. So thankful for that! Then came Dave Strandt, Project Manager, who was at my house to oversee the actual restoration work. Dave also had great ideas and helped me to get the work started and completed almost immediately. We ended up contacting Elite Home Inspection to take a look at the damage, and they referred us to Joe at MPB for mold remediation. Upon meeting Joe, I felt so much more at ease compared to the other mold company we met. He was very responsive and reassured me that it was an easy and quick job. His pricing was also more in line with what we were expecting, and confirmed to us that the other company was trying to rip us off and scare us. Joe and his team worked quickly to get the job done thoroughly and efficiently. They were also very careful to keep any mess contained within the work area, and did an amazing job cleaning up afterwards. You wouldn't even know any mold happened after they finished!
