They removed the damaged carpet and flooring and had many fans and 2 dehumidifiers running to dry out the home. They cut out drywall that was wet and bored holes along the wall to test for moisture. First red flag was when took off work to meet workers who showed up several hours late, without notification. When I called to see if they were on their way, the gentleman acted surprised that I was on the schedule. They put a tarp on our roof and a few weeks later it failed with another storm, allowing a second flood in our rooms and this time it went into the hallway, which has newer hard wood flooring. We were out of town and returned to a flood on Easter. Because it was a holiday, nobody could come out. We spent Easter with a shop vac, getting rid of the water ourselves. Now, moisture is being detected under our bamboo flooring. If the tarp was installed properly, I don't believe a second flood would have occurred. We've waited over a month for reports and pictures to be given to our insurance company. Kirt, the manager just keeps telling us they are very busy. Previously, we used Restoration Management Company. 1000% better on every level. Phil Johnson was fantastic. Looking back I should have insisted on using them again vs the company they sent us to.

Then one night, he put his head to the ground and could actually hear water streaming underneath our floors. We had a leak! Thankfully, we have home insurance so we filed a claim and then got in contact with SERVPRO right away. We worked with Christopher and he was extremely helpful from the get-go. He came out to assess our leak and was able to explain everything to us very clearly. He helped us understand what we were dealing with, how we needed to proceed, and assured us that he and his team would be there to assist us every step of the way until the remediation was complete. We were about to leave for a two-week trip so we were in a crunch to get the leak fixed so that it wouldn't cause further damage while we were away. So Christopher promptly came out to our property to dry out the water damage caused by the leak, then arranged for his plumber to reroute our plumbing lines. He did an excellent job in communicating with our insurance carrier so that we were able to receive our draft in a timely manner and make the necessary repairs on our floors and surrounding areas. Now, we are happy to say that our house is finally in order, thanks to SERVPRO! We highly recommend SERVPRO of West Riverside City for all of your water cleanup & restoration needs. Paul Duncan was extremely professional and knowledgeable about what actions need to be taken, to handle the immediate by seating up machinery to begin extracting water absorbing in the walls and under the flooring. Beginning the level of moisture detection and continuing daily monitoring until water penetration was dropping to acceptable water gauge detection reduction levels. Unfortunately, due to miscommunications with scheduling of expectations of the office, Technician Duncan became my "lifeline" in navigating between the next steps and being onsite when the the insurance "preferred" company showed up many, many days beyond reasonable and proceeded to say they were not detecting water gauge levels, however, not choosing to check all areas previously identified and sent to the field estimator for the home owner insurance company. I retired from state service responsible for customer services and external affairs, at the CEA level in a little transportation agency known as Caltrans. My personnel knew how I felt about providing above and beyond customer service to the public, in a manner a citizen would not expect of such a massive agency. And, as a former local elected official, again how we treat of citizens/customers matter and I probably cannot say enough about Mr. Paul Duncan. He's definitely a hidden jewel within a service who's called upon during an emergency and great when someone cares enough to respond and assist, rather than deflect the person with, sorry, "but that's not my job attitude...and you'll need to call back into the office!" The day of the cleaning the guys coming to do the cleaning first called to say they were on their way, and also offered to bring Starbucks coffee for us. Booties were worn by them, as well as providing us with them to walk on the carpeting after they completed the work. Protection was layed down on our flooring and around all corners so as not to damage anything in our home. As Eric explained during the quoting process, if we removed the small items from furniture they would put foam protection under that furniture so has not to damage the carpeting while it was drying. Servpro Upland:…read more Started off with the Monrovia franchise, which seemed very on top of things, but was transferred to the Upland franchise for Eaton fire remediation. They did not seem as professional, but they were responsive at least, even calling me specifically last week to say they were hiring weekend crews and was I open on the 1st (I wasn't) or the 8th (I was), both Saturdays in February. When Servpro didn't show today and I called to ask why, the office manager (Abbey Khoury) said that they don't work weekends. So then I asked why she had called last week to make the offer of service on a Saturday. She said she had no recollection of the conversation (and since it was a call, I have no proof of what was said). So back to square one for cleaning and remediation from the Eaton fire! Servpro Upland has tarnished the Servpro brand for me, for sure!
