Cut N dry (Bianca) try to convince us everything will be ok, my insurance company will cover everything and will not be an issue, etc. she and her company will help us with the fixing, insurance payment and we can contact them anytime for help or questions, that's all not true. Right after she set up us with the contractor to fix the house, she's gone like a ghost. Every time we call, she never answers the phones anymore. Then the construction is done, we're fixing what she's told us to do and end up with almost 15k fixing and testing. We don't even get paid closed to half what the fixing cost us and now one claim solutions that cut n dry hired keep chasing us for payment which we they said our insurance will pay them and they will work with our insurance them self. They charged me $1000 just to rip out the carpet of a 9×10 room! When I agreed to the price I expected they would do a lot more than that. Luckily I had a contractor come it to patch all the holes the plumbers left a nd he let me borrow his fan to dry out the room cause it smelled so much like a mildew scent. When I complained they told me they (Saul) were going to give me a $200 refund. I've called again and never received my refund. The only reason I choose them is because the plumber recommend them. So basically I feel totally ripped off. I wouldn't be surprised if the plumber gets money for recommending them. That's what I get for thinking I was dealing with an honest company. We came across this company as a referral from our home insurance company. Take in mind the original contractor who assisted us told me "I can't comment". You already know the interaction with their salesman is going to start out awkward when they tell your spouse " I'm a LA Kings Fan you're a Golden Knights". When you bring up a NHL hockey team when you first say hello to a customer is not a good sign seeing as we are proud supporters of a different NHL team. I don't see how that has any bearing in the conversation as your salesman is here to provide a quote and I would expect them to act in a professional manner when interacting with a customer for the first time time. The salesman came, measured and provided a quote. My issue is with the quote provided, I'm not upset about the amount it how they list it. I have been through several home remodels where what we call "junk fees" are hidden. I don't need to know that you're going to charge x 4 units for a N95 mask and plastic draping. I'm a RN I know how much a N95 mask actually cost. The salesman even stated "Part of this is for us to move your items". I Can tell you the items I needed moved were only two little plastic tubs that I was going to move myself before the repair. My spouse is in commercial and residential construction, the quote that was provided was extreme. Their hyper inflating their cost as evidenced by charging the customer for every small piece of equipment needed. A.J. from Cut Dry promises you everything will be ok, he starts working ASAP I also signed something on his iPad trusting what he told me that they will deal with my insurance so I wouldn't have to worry, and my insurance will take care of everything! Well, until they try to bleed my insurance with an over blown bill for $11,951.81 and then he lied because they're trying to bill $300.00 for disconnecting and connecting my oven and fridge which is totally not true. Because my son and I disconnected it, and my contractor connected it. The fans did more work than them they have totally inflated the bill and not using the standard cost of billing. I had an amazing experience with Cut N Dry Restoration to help with my mold remediation. They were clean, thorough, and thoughtful throughout the entire process from estimate to finish of job. Special shout out to technician Travis who was very communicative and friendly throughout the job and project manager Kevin who helped me navigate the annoying process of fighting my home insurance company to get the work approved and paid out. Travis was very good about keeping the area clean and demolishing only what was necessary without extra damage to adjacent walls/areas. After receiving a call from Cut N Dry that work was approved, my claims adjuster called me saying that the work had not been approved, my claim had been denied, and I would need to pay everything out of pocket. Needless to say I was very frustrated and my head was spinning on what to do next since I had never encountered this scenario before. Feeling like the insurance company didn't care about my legitimate claim, Cut N Dry helped me to file a complaint with the CA Insurance Bureau, get my claim readjusted by someone who actually works for my insurance company as opposed to a third party contractor, and fought to make sure I got maximum reimbursement while simultaneously removing wet drywall/plaster from my home. In addition, since the mold remediation had come from a leak in the roof, they helped me set up a tarp over the area that had a leak to protect me from further water damage after they completed their repair while I was waiting for a roofing company to properly fix it. Their tarp job ended up on my roof for nearly 3 months and not one drop of water went through since they did such a good job sealing up the tarp. They didn't have to do this but helped me anyways as a great show of goodwill. What a shame, we used the plumber who is affiliated with this company, and Michael was great! He referred us to this company, as we have a rental home that my kids and grandkids live at. We had a garbage disposal replaced, and apparently there was a water leak. Anyway the leak is fixed, etc. Got a quote to dehumidify, dry out replace some dry wall for $2500!!!! This company wanted to start the project immediately but I was uncomfortable because I didn't have good constant with my insurance agent. Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, Obviously there was some sort of disconnect with Eric Stansell and myself during Monday's conversation. It should go as no surprise that the conversation got heated quickly as we both discussed what was and wasn't done. I was there with my wife from start to finish and witnessed everything; and I'm absolutely willing to go on record for it. He commented that he had field notes and an accurate detailed invoice. Several times, he made abrupt comments stating "what do you want?" with a seemingly angry notation I was out to rip off his company. My reply was simple, "Make it right. There are things on the bill that are absolutely false." (please note: I had already emailed and had several phone discussions with Jorge Murillo about these discrepancies and have sent him an annotated copy of the invoice in question) We finally got to a point in the conversation when he said "I really hate how people use yelp as an extortion tool, what can I do to fix this, what do you want from me?" which transitioned to, "how about if I zero out the account, will you be happy then?" My comment was simple and again restated, "I will pay what I owe. I want things to be right and fair. There are many things invoiced that were not done and I'm being charged for it, that's wrong." I then replied " is that what you think is fair?" he then said "if you go on yelp and leave a positive review of this experience, I would zero out the account, nothing would be owed." After our call, I immediately talked with Jorge Murillo about the news. He too can attest that I was under the impression, my bill was zeroed out. Now directly to the point: When someone offers to "zero out the account," that means zero. Not "ok, well just take off your $200+" lets' call it a day. I would of never agreed to just $200.00, especially when there was more than $200.00 of fraudulent charges. That makes no sense. What I said exactly was, " This needs to be made right, I will pay for what THEY DID, NOT DIDN'T DO." If this is a honest misunderstanding fine, but that's not what was presented. "zeroed out means exactly that." When I'm paying for a $1k deductible, I'm going to make sure the work is actually done and done right. It should be plainly obvious. 1. I'm not out to get something for nothing 2. I'm not going to sit idle when someone commits fraud against me. So for now, after today's call, I'm fighting this to the end. If Eric Stansell wants to pay a game of semantics and think for one second I would give in for $200+, he's gravely mistaken. I am a professional and do not play games. I took his commitment to " zeroing out the account" as a clean slate and a starting point to double check and reassure all clients will be billed accurately. That this event would go down in the Cut n Dry history as simple accounting anomaly. That he would talk with his employees and re-train as needed. And that a customer service rep would actually call their client to make sure everything was done to their satisfaction, not just to sign over a check. In closing, I stand by my families integrity as we are witness to what was done and not done. I will review my interior video surveillance for additional evidence. I will also continue to critique the detailed invoice to dates and times with my exterior video surveillance to solidify my claims. Worst service ever. I would recommend you to authorize your insurance to deal with them in the beginning to avoid all the problem in the beginning. When I had my water problems they were so nice to come out and get everything done but after that it was a mess. We were in vacation during that time and the guy name Mike was so nice to communicate with us via text messages, which is nice. They promised to come on Friday to demolish, so we arranged my in law to stay, but there was no show, no call. So, my husband texted Mike, and they showed up on Saturday to demo, and we got charge extra "per customer request to demolish on Saturday" what the heck!!! Liar liar liar!!! Next, we had to deal with getting our stuffs back, we tried to set up and in the beginning, it was 9-11, so I stayed home to waited for them, but then nothing. Then when we called the lady said that there was an emergency and the delivery got pulled to another job!!! A message would be good to let us know so that we can go and do something else, but no. So when we called, she said, it would be from 11-1. And now it's passed 1. There was still no delivery. I had to call again, and guess what. It is gonna be 3-5. During this time, there was still no phone call, even though I said please call me back!!! I had to call again, I had kids to take care of, I can't just wait around. Until, I demanded to talk to the manager, suddenly, there was no more emergency, they all showed up at 2pm, and delivered my stuffs. Lastly is my piano. This is the most funny thing ever. After we got all our stuffs, we realized that we were still missing the piano. Email back and forth and no results over 2 or 3 weeks, until I need to talk to Derek the manager to sort things out and guess what. This manager promised to give me a call to let me know the process with the piano delivery, but no, there is still no communication, no nothing. The whole thing is mess. They just want to drag things out as long as they can to get all the money from your insurance for the storage. We recently had a leaking drain line under a raised foundation house with a lot of standing water and called Cut N Dry to give us an estimate on clean-up of the water and sludge. Up until the time that the workers showed up to start the process, we were happy with everyone we talked to but once they showed up they wanted to change the process we agreed on and were quoted for. The project manager called and said they wanted to cut a hole in the kitchen floor so they didn't have to crawl under the house (we were told that one of them was claustrophobic), cutting through the floor wasn't listed on the work order. When my husband told them no, the project manager called back and said that they dug down and were able to get into the crawl space, however we were told by our renters that they were throwing sand under the house through a vent to try and soak up the water instead of pumping it out. We again talked to the project manager and he said they would be back the next day with a different pump to pump the water, which they did. Once they told us they were done our plumber went to the job to repair the pipes and found that there was still a considerable amount of water; so much that it cost us $1,000 extra because the plumber had to purchase and drag sand bags under the house so he didn't have to lay in the sludge to fix the pipes. Full story: We called Cut N' Dry because our hot water heater was leaking. They came fast and helped us to uncover all the damage, showing us where the water had damaged our flooring. We wouldn't have known how extensive the damage was without these thorough employees. They brought drying equipment and set everything up. They worked quickly and were so nice. I am so happy that we called this company because it was an emergency situation and I feel really lucky that this was such a great group of people.
