We had a leak in our roof from the rain that caused mold damage in our ceiling. We initially contacted another mold company who immediately told us to file a claim with our insurance company. They quoted us a number so high that we were suspicious that they were trying to take advantage of our insurance, and kept fear mongering additional services. We ended up contacting Elite Home Inspection to take a look at the damage, and they referred us to Joe at MPB for mold remediation. Upon meeting Joe, I felt so much more at ease compared to the other mold company we met. He was very responsive and reassured me that it was an easy and quick job. His pricing was also more in line with what we were expecting, and confirmed to us that the other company was trying to rip us off and scare us. I'm so glad we found Joe & MPB Restoration! We have a crawl space that floods from inadequate drainage from the greenbelt surrounding our property. Joe & his team put together a comprehensive restoration and waterproofing plan. Each stage was clearly explained both in writing and in person so I could understand exactly what was happening. We had mold remediation, waterproofing and insulation plans. They removed and replaced all damaged drywall and dirt, treated the areas, painted and cleaned. When they were finished the area was spotless. They hauled all materials and cleaned everything completely. Additionally, Joe provided my HOA with clear explanation of how water is entering my crawl space and what they need to do to correct the drainage flaws to protect my property from flooding in the future. A full write up including pictures before & after. Joe even arranged to complete my project on a rushed schedule- coming on the first weekend to prep and the next to complete touch ups. He also made a special trip to meet with the HOA contractor rep to walk them through the project in my crawl space and to show them the areas needing correction outside to prevent future issues. Joey and team added drainage around our house, then he removed the mold, repaired/removed/replaced damaged wood, new drywall, and added preventative measures in case of future moisture exposure. I would to thank Joe and his team of awesome people who help me after getting my residence. My home warranty insurance would not cover repairs that should have been caught during a home and mold inspection. Upon finding out that there was mold in the bathroom air duct, I called on MPB Restoration where I got in contact with the owner Joe. He was very knowledgeable of the problem and came in to the space ready to fix the problem. He inspected the air ducts, took pictures, and provided a reasonable estimate for the job. Once he opened the ceiling for further inspection, he discovered a rag was tied to a condensation line that had condensated water in the AC return area. After identifying the source of the issue, he removed the molded areas, applied his solution, scrubbed down the areas, and applied additional treatment. During phase 2 he and his team rebuilt the air duct system (after another home warranty claim was denied) and replaced the ceiling. They finished with painting. I am so pleased with the results!!! Joe came out all the way from Riverside to give me a free estimate. He was completely transparent and explained to me that the mildew in the shower wasn't toxic, and offered a very fair quote. He also showed me the kind of mold-resistant caulk he would use. I called him back after shopping around (he is incredibly transparent and fair), and he came and got rid of the mold in our shower yesterday.
