Conventional wisdom would say that remodeling your house during a pandemic is probably not the best time to do so. Just finding someone to come out to provide an estimate is challenging in itself. Due to replacing a 4x4 post, I needed to repair some stucco where the two walls joined. Instead of expecting folks to come by the house for an estimate, I decided to send out MMS to a handful of highly rated businesses found here on Yelp. What I appreciated about dealing with Nestor was his prompt response to both SMS and MMS. Nestor explained in his SMS exactly what needed to be done and quoted a price. Replacing the stucco behind it. If you look a few reviews down you will see my original review. I can't seem to access that account to modify it. But I am very disappointed with their lack of response. They won't call me back! Don't get work done with them if you want to be able to get things fixed when it goes wrong, good luck. The photo I posted looked nice but is now cracked. I needed some other work done as well on bottom of my house. But no return calls. Probably only want big jobs, but they could call back, and should stand by their work and fix it when it goes bad. read more

It's not often that I find a business worthy of a 5 star review, but Nestor and his team certainly deserve it. Don't get me wrong, not everything was perfect or done exactly how I wanted it, but that's how life goes on any major project. What matters is how well your contractor works with you to get it as close as possible to perfect, and Nestor did exactly that. He took the time to go over all of my questions during the entire process, he worked with me on the scheduling conflicts with the other trades and the inspections, and he went above and beyond the scope of work on more than one occassion to make sure that this job got done in a way that made me happy and still looked good. One time they all came out on a Saturday to finish the lathe even though they don't work on Saturdays, another time, Nestor drove all the way out from Fontanna on a Sunday to put a color swatch on the wall so we could make up our minds, even though he had previously done this twice already with other colors during the week. He never once complained, (to me anyway), even though he was taking his personal time to help us out with our color indecision. I should also mention that this wasn't a simple patch job, they had to strip all of the wood siding from the entire house and garage and then stucco it from the ground up. His crew, Matt and Nick, were also exemplary. Polite and friendly, they hustled to get the job done and they cleaned up every night before they left. Bonus - the dog liked them too. =) The bottom line is I spent a lot of money and I'm very happy with the results and the service I received. Unfortunately, we have other projects in the future that will probably require punching some holes in our beautiful new stucco. When that time comes I will be calling Panda Plastering out to fix it because I know they will do a fantastic job. read more

I initially called and left a voice recorded message which Nestor responded to promptly. The main repair was the foam molding around the front door which my dog completely chewed away plus I needed patch up work around three windows and minor holes filled next to my garage door and a corner repaired at the base of the garage. I sent Nestor a picture of the door area and we negotiated a fair price. He was punctual and the result was excellent. I was skeptical about the repair looking good because the foam molding was chewed down to the stucco which required a new squared angle to be created. Nestor and his crew did a fabulous job removing the old and outdated 1950's wood siding from the front of my house and replacing it with stucco. Instead of only applying the stucco to where the siding had been (the upper portion of the walls), Nestor re-stucco'd the entire length of each wall to make it look uniform and create an even look when painted. These guys are awesome! I found them on Angie's list and called Nestor for a quote on Thursday. He showed up the next morning (Friday) at 8:00am and we had a quote that evening. The price was well under other companies that my general contractor had recommended. They started the started on Monday with the lath. Once we got inspected by the city they came back the following Monday to put the brown. During this time we left out of town on a family vacation (but had a house sitter) so Nestor texted us pictures each day of the work that was done. Once the brown had cured, Nestor contacted me right on time to schedule the next day for the stucco. On the final day, I asked him if he could fill a couple extra cracks and restucco the chimney. This is where their craftsmanship really impressed me. They were able to match and blend the color of the new stucco almost perfectly into the old. If you aren't familiar with stucco work, matching existing color is the most difficult part. Also, the previous contractor had missed the 5 foot chimney on the roof when we changed the color on the house years ago. So until now, we have had an beige house with a blue chimney. Even though this was not part of the original scope of work, Nestor covered the chimney and it looks great! This was just one part in a room addition project we have been doing this summer. I have had to deal with over a dozen different contractors and I can honestly say that I wish they were all as good as Panda Plastering. Fast, responsive estimate...immediately started work...showed up when they said they would and finished on time...all work very high quality...great communication...did extra work without complaint...fair price. I was having AC installed at my house and the side of the home where the copper exited the wall needed to be repaired. I was in a bind as my "regular" stucco guy who I have used for years moved to New York so I had to find someone fast and someone whom I had no experience with. I called Panda Plastering & Stucco and Nester was available to perform the work the following day which was a Saturday. Nester and his employee (I believe it is his brother) were very professional and did an outstanding job matching the color stucco and texture.
