The team came on time in the morning to start work on installing new drywall and painting. They installed the new drywall the first day and then finished painting the second day. The work was done well and they spent the time to make sure all the touch up spots were painted. They even realized that they were using paint in one ceiling that was slightly off in color so they went back to Lowe's to get the right matching paint color. The ceiling of my new home had hard popcorn ceilings. I met with 4 contracts and my quotes ranged from $9,800 to $5,500. Almost all of the contractors told it would be "almost impossible" to get a smooth ceiling and wanted to all me into some kind of texture. I ended up going with David not because he was the lowest quote but because he did not try to convince me to go with texture because it would be an easier job. When I tell you they did incredible, I mean they did such an amazing job my electrician asked for his information (for his own personal home). This is a hard and dirty job and his crew was professional and even worked on July 4th (to my surprise). I cannot recommend more. read more

I can't recommend Venegas Painting and Drywall enough! I really wish I had taken pictures of the before. My husband, and I are first time homeowners, and had to learn the hard way. We hired a handyman from outside Home Depot who approached us one day to demo shelving that was already installed in our garage, repair drywall, and paint the garage walls. He destroyed our walls. He didn't even let the drywall set before painting. It was sagging, and dripping. The work was done in 3 hours, and it was So sloppy. I sent out a few quote requests on Saturday afternoon. Venegas painting & Drywall responded within an hour or 2. Their quote was on par with a few other companies and included drywall repair, baseboard change, texture and painting. Granted, I already had left over baseboard and paint from a project we are in the midst of completing in my home. That helped to reduce the initial quote. Nevertheless, I decided to go with them based on all 5 star reviews. I'm so glad I did! Camilo was prompt on the agreed upon arrival day and time. He completed the work within a couple of hours, made sure he did not cause another damage, cleaned up after himself and left me a very happy customer. His work is impeccable . Although this was a small area of work, it was done so well that I will surely consider hiring this company again for future painting and drywall needs. They quoted it based on pictures only and I accepted. They schedule the job for the next weekday and broke it into three stages-drywall, texture and paint. It came out looking great. But the real test of a new contractor is what they do when things go wrong. Something failed with the light switch during construction. We are not typically the people to put our trust in someone that we do not know or have a personal recommendation but when our stucco guy bailed on us we had to take a chance. We were in the middle of building a 720 sqft ADU and on a timeline. We actually found CAMILO VENEGAS checking out in the Home Depot line. He had a shirt on advertising stucco and drywall and we needed both. I approached him and asked if we could get an estimate (this was on a Sunday at around 10am). he said he could come by at 5:30pm. He showed up EARLY and got us our estimate 2 days later. His price was fair and he said he could start in a couple weeks. We decided to take a leap of faith as all his reviews were 5 stars. He was actually able to start a few days earlier than he said. Camilo and everyone working with him were PUNCTUAL AND HARD WORKING. Anytime I tried to contact Camilo either by text or phone he RESPONDED PROMPTLY (within a few minutes to a couple hours). Any concerns that were voiced were graciously received and fixed shortly after (a doorway needed drywall as it was for a barn door and I missed it when they were putting up the drywall). We ended up not only having him do our stucco and drywall but also painting after the drywall was complete. Again very fair pricing and work was done nicely and done shortly after agreement. I was nervous prior to Camilo starting but now I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND him for any project you need (and have already given his name to some people already!).
