Wow! The Stucco Shop did the most amazing work transforming our dated, red brick fireplace into a gorgeous work of art. Eric, the owner, is super friendly and so professional! He showed up for our bid and took a lot of time to explain the process to me which I appreciated since my husband wasn't able to be present for the bid. Eric was one of 3 bids, his price was very fair, and, most importantly, we felt comfortable with Eric. When Eric and his team showed up to work, they quarantined off their work space to mitigate the dirt even though our home was in total disarray because we were midway through a major home remodel. They are super clean! When they returned to do the final plaster coat on the fireplace, Eric showed us different ways they could apply the final coat so that we could pick the look we desired. As an added perk, we had a few areas of failed stucco near the front door and he patched those at no charge. (Those patches, like the fireplace, look amazing.) I absolutely detest trying to hiring a contractor to do work for you in a mad rush. In the middle of my pool construction, I was told I'd need a new weep screed, moisture barrier and stucco. Ohhh and that I should have it done before concrete is poured... we'll that's going to be the following week. It's hard enough to find someone willing to come over to give you an estimate on short notice let alone actually fix the whole backside of your house! Eric heard the desperation of my voice and gave me a rough quote based on pictures. I practically begged him to do it soon but his schedule was already full. Somehow he finagled his men to work on Saturday and finished up the job just 4 days before the pour date. When work was completed I realized a bar above my sliding door wasn't removed from the old patio. I asked for a quote to remove it and stucco the area. He said he'd call and let me know. To my surprise he sent me a picture of it all perfectly done and said thank you for my husband's military service. He knew I was swimming in debt from this pool and that I really couldn't incur more debt. These guys are pretty rare... I want to preface this by saying that Eric did not do work for us, I'm sure his work is great based on other reviews. This review is just on dealing with him. I had a small job request (tiny- a small exterior stucco hole patched). Eric was the first to reach back out to me on Yelp and was helpful and quick to respond. I booked him to do the work at his quote of $375 and we would schedule a time later this week when his schedule allowed. I have a handyman who is out of commission right now as I manage about 50 properties locally so I have some experience with repairs, and knew this quote seemed on the higher side, but hey, that's ok, I respect people's prices. The next morning, I got multiple responses on Yelp with quotes ranging from $80- $150. In no way am I looking for cheapest price, it's just his was the highest by far. I very kindly texted Eric and told him I would hold off for now as I got much more inexpensive quotes. I did not ask him to lower his prices and was very respectful of his quoted price (see image). Also there was no site visit needed and I probably took up a total of 4 minutes of his time texting the day prior. He replied in a rude way that shows how he feels. Again, I know this is a super small job, but not replying or just sending an OK instead of a rude reply would have sufficed much better. Worth considering if you have a small job and care heavily about how a potential customer is treated pre work. read more

The people who came to work on the home were friendly no issues. Overall go with Eric for stucco. The difficulties was a one star for the city side. I had a 10 foot section of weep screed rusted out on the side of the house. These guys are awesome. Eric answered the phone when I called, which is rare these days. I asked for an estimate and he had me send pictures to see if he could give me a quote over the phone. He got back to me right away with a quote for the job. I waited for a few other quotes (2 of which were quite a bit more than his) but decided to go with The Stucco Shop because I got a good feeling from Yelp reviews and great communication with my questions. Eric said his jobs were about a week or 2 out (which was not a big deal for me) but there was a chance they could come out the next day. His guys showed up the next day, on time, finished the job in a few hours, and hardly left a mark with the plants in the flower bed.
