I had a main power panel replaced, The electrician tried to repair the exterior wall (opening had to be expanded for the new panel). I live in Yorba Linda, city inspectors there are notorious for be EXTREMELY picky. Looking at the plastering done by the electrician, inspector said "remove this mess and do it again". We contracted with Richard and his team just about a year ago and the whole project has been a disaster ever since. Aside from his delays in starting and lack of customer service, his work was absolutely terrible. 1. Corners and edges on the house that were sharp and straight are now rounded and wavy. 2. Trowel marks are present all over the place when the finish is supposed to be smooth. 3. Stucco was just jammed into tight corners without finishing.4. They didn't cover any pipes, electrical boxes, etc and the stucco is all over them.5. They left a huge mess EVERYWHERE that we had to clean up. 6. His workers were drinking on the jobsite. Aside from the absolutely poor workmanship... 1. The stucco started cracking 3 months after the job was complete. This house was built in 1983 and there wasn't a SINGLE crack in the stucco when this job was contracted.2. Richard spend the next 6 months denying there was a problem, telling us how "stucco normally cracks", etc etc etc. After he came out and inspected, accepted responsibility for the problems, etc.. he said he would be out to fix it on several different dates and bailed on every one of them and I haven't heard from him. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! All of the stucco, old and new, will now have to be stripped off the house and the job completely re-done from scratch. Stucco Concepts recently completed stuccoing our house that had some major damage on the bottom 3 feet due to water damage. Richard (the owner) was recommended to us by the general contractor that was doing a kitchen remodel, window removal, and electrical power panel upgrade. Richard met with us to evaluate our repairs and also the repairs needed for the contractor. Since we wanted to upgraded all our windows to vinyl we decided to delay doing the stucco repairs. After meeting with Richard again about the window replacement, he was able to make suggestions about a time line and suggested applying the brown/scratch coat prior to installing the windows and applying the color coat after window installation. This worked out perfect as they were able to apply the color coat right up to the window trim providing an additional seal. Since the original stucco had been painted several times, it was necessary to apply a glue base prior to color coating. The final product came out great. Since I like to be involved and save any money I can, Richard gave me a list of items to take care of prior to them starting, including pressure washing the house, trimming back bushes, and digging out around the foundation. Richard has great crews that have years of experience, including his Dad that has 40 years in the stucco business. Richard is very good to work with, responses quickly to phone calls or texts, answers all questions, and makes only necessary recommendations. His price was very fair and I would highly recommend Stucco Concepts. read more
