This is a very tasty very homey place to grab a meal. Staff is friendly and food is highly satisfying. Definitely a diner vibe and it works!

I went there for the first time and ordered biscuits and gravy, coming from kansas it is a breakfast classic and I was extremely excited to try out what WA had in store. My food was flavorless and dry and my "biscuit" was a bun for a type of sandwich sliced in half and grilled, the gravy was cold and thick, and the eggs were not cooked well. The service was also sparse, our server came to take our orders and drop off our food and that was it and she made no conversation at all. I might come back to order something that they are known for but definitely not the bis&gravy again. read more

This specific Patty's Eggnest is extremely disappointing. The all around customer service was fairly poor; not once was my small glass of water refilled throughout the entire meal. There were a fair amount of empty tables, but they chose to seat my wife and I with another two adults and their loud child. The food was extremely poor; my first choice was chicken fried steak, but they were out, so I opted for the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were practically hamburger buns that they grilled, the eggs were extremely bland and the hashbrowns must have not been seasoned whatsoever. While this place may seem like a little run down from the first impression, don't let it deceive you. The staff was fast to seat us, take our orders, and always asking how we were doing. For a Sunday brunch time this was good and better than most places. Now the food Is something. If you like down home grandma style cooking for flavor and portions, then this is a great place. Went there this morning, and waited to be seated, I didn't know you seat yourself. I had the Biscuits and Gravy with bacon and Sausage, eggs. The Bacon was pretty thick and the biscuits definitely weren't pillsbury. It was a decent size for $8.95, so much so I needed a carton to take the rest home. my husband and I ate here for Thanksgiving today. Horrible!!! While the turkey and ham were cooked decently, everything else ranged from mediocre to downright scary bad. The mashed potatos, gravy ( seperately), andvdressing all had a sickening sour and chemical taste. The rolls were brought out and dumped on the "buffet" line out of large plastic bags, the pecan pie was good but the pumpkin pie was tasteless. Now home an hour later, my husband and I both feel sick, literally ill, when we both felt fine before eating here. Will never walk through this restaurant's doors again although we live nearby. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. The service is the kind of horror story you read about but are rarely subjected to at most restaurants but seems to be the norm at this place. The food is typical greasy spoon cafe style fare, nothing spectacular but decent none the less. The people who work here make it painfully obvious that you are an inconvenience to them and make it seem that you shouldn't be bothering them with your business. So we won't. We don't just write a place off after a bad experience since we know everyone has off days. Everyone gets three chances with us. Unfortunately all three chances for Patty's have been them same. We decided on a whim to drop in Saturday morning for breakfast. We had heard great reviews and had talked about stopping there before, so this was our time to try what was supposed to be one of the greatest breakfasts in the area. The staff was very friendly when we walked in the door... but that's where it pretty much ended. I ordered the gyros omelet and my companion ordered a spinach and feta omelet. We received our omelets and they looked more like a mixed scramble--very sloppy. The waitress dropped them off and walked away immediately, without asking us if we needed anything else. We had to flag down someone else to get the sour cream we always want on our omelets. We couldn't taste the feta in either omelet. Our English Muffins were burnt and covered in butter on both sides, so you couldn't pick them up without covering your hands in grease. The hash browns were good and the coffee average. After we finished, I sat at the table with my debit card out and waited several minutes but never got my check. I finally walked up to the cashier and she asked me if I had my check yet. At that time, a couple walked in, and she pleasantly told them where they could sit, then proceeded to tell me everything she should have told them, as if I had walked away instead of them... "We'll have your server come over in a second and get you started..." In all, if there was a word to describe it, that might be "bizarre". From the omelet scrambles and greasy muffins to the put-down-the-dishes-and-walk-away silent service to being told what should be said to the next customer, I've got to wonder what was going on. I have eaten here for a couple of years now. I have brought my family and friends here also. In the last couple of months I have noticed a big change in their service. Every Sunday I come in and have the buffet. The head Server or manager yells at her coworkers in front of all the customers. My family has even mentioned how rude that is to do that in front of customers. I have decided to go to Dennys with my family and friends there food is not as good at Patty's. But at least I don't have to have my family subjected to rude behavior. If the owner can change the way he does business then we will consider coming back. My son and I went there for Thanksgiving and it was the most disgusting, horrible food and presentation I have ever experienced in my life! I kick myself for even paying for the slop they called a Thanksgiving Buffet. My first clue was that my son thought the gravy was applesauce. Lumpy gravy wasand should of been an indication of what was to come. But no, I guess I was so hungry and had the Thanksgiving glaze over my eyes that it didn't register in my brain. All the serving spoons had crusty crud on the handles as well as the plates. The potatoes were a strange color, the stuffing was pastey and hard, rolls were hard as rocks, the only thing I can actually say was good was the turkey and the cup of coffee. this place should be closed down and scrubbed down. My son ate some turkey and we were there exactly 30 minutes. The waitresses were working their little butts, off bless their souls, however when I let our waitress know how horrible it was she didn't offer a discount or anything. She became sort of crusty herself. I suppose I trusted the name because I have been to the MillCreek location and the Mukilteo location for breakfast and it was wonderful, delicious and I will return, but never to the one in Everett again. So lesson learned don't eat at the Patti's eggnest in Everett. I did not get food poisoning and neither did my son, thank God. read more

I am usually a Huge Fan of Patty's Eggnest. You typically get a great meal and good service, but this last Saturday we took our son there, who is a vegetarian, and he ordered a breakfast sandwich with no meat. My wife even commented to the server that he is a vegetarian. The sandwich arrived with Ham on it. my wife asked the server to take it back and have it remade. She returned in seconds with the sandwich still running meat juices out of it and said here. As she was walking away my wife said "I bet she just pulled the ham off,' without pausing or turning around the server quipped "yep." My son tried to be accommodating and ate some of the sandwich. He later became ill, I now wonder if she did more than just take the meat off. Needless to say my wife refused to tip this person and even wrote a note that she had just lost her $12.00 tip. You can bet we will no longer be regular customer's of this establishment. read more

My husband and I came to Patty's Eggnest for brunch today, and were not impressed. It took several minutes of standing by the door for anyone to acknowledge us, and then we were seated by a waitress (Hailey was her name) who didn't make eye contact or speak to us at all. We then sat for about 15 minutes before someone came and noticed that we'd never been brought waters, and she took our order. Our food came quickly, but it was bland in taste and honestly quite unappealing. The interior is very neglected; the carpet is ripped, the bathrooms are disgusting (broken floor tiles, rusty drains, etc.) there are flies buzzing around and glancing back into the kitchen, it looks gross in there. After we finished eating, it took about 15 minutes for someone to notice that we were done and come take our plates (also, during our meal nobody ever came by to see if we needed refills on drinks, etc.), and then another 15 before someone brought us our check. It was clear that we were forgotten about by the wait staff, and when they did remember that we were there, they were rude! I was very disappointed in the service, food, and atmosphere of the restaurant, next time I'll take the time to drive to the one in Edmonds. read more

I love Patt'ys Eggnest but I will never go back to the one in Everett. While we were trying to enjoy our breakfast all we could focus on were the carpenter ants coming up the cracks in the tile on the windowsills, and all the dead ones lying there as well. Half way through eating they were flying at us more kept coming, it ruined my breakfast and we didn't even finish. I know it's an old building but come on, it was down right disgusting. read more

My fiancé and I frequented here often for breakfast until one morning we stopped in and they messed up our order. I ordered a waffle, with whipped cream and strawberries. When the food came, they brought out a pancake stack. Now, I am a rational person usually, so I asked the waitress if they messed up the order and I told her that I originally ordered a waffle. She looked at me and told me that I ordered a pancake and turned and walked away. I then tried to wave her down again and she ignored me several times. I'm the kind of person where I will give you a chance to correct yourself but the waitstaff ignored me completely. When I asked about it at the cash register when I went to pay, they told me that it wasn't a big deal. Well, according to me, if I am paying you for a service, I expect to receive what I pay for. I really love the breakfast at patty's. The California eggs Benedict and country fried steak are amazing. You get plenty of food in every meal. I will say that I don't love the coffee, and service can be iffy. I have had times where I'm in and out in 30 minutes, and other times where the servers are so slow that I'm sitting there waiting. If you want good breakfast food and aren't in a time crunch, pattys is your place. read more

Holy Moses, the Elvis French Toast was really, really good! I'm sort of blown away by how good it was. We also had French fries with Hollondaise and a pancake, all really good as well, but that Elvis French Toast. Woah. I had low expectations thinking Patty's Eggnest was just a generic (possibly over-rated) diner, but was pleasantly surprised. Keeping in mind the possible limitations of a place like this, we chose our dishes accordingly and went with things that are hard to mess up... And boy were they done perfectly! Café style home cookin. Go there for large breakfasts. Fresh OJ and smoked ham. Convenient location. Cracks me up that there are always lots of people in the connecting bar. Waitresses are very down home and friendly. read more

I have never been to a Patty's Eggnest and let me tell you I was impressed. I've heard that the chain had really good food and was not disappointed. I ordered the ham and cheese omelette with hash browns and a side of sausage links! Now almost every place I go to I am skeptical of ordering anything with ham on/in it. It's almost always too salty but this omelette was by far the best omelette I have ever had at any breakfast restaurant EVER! The waitress came and checked on us several times. The food was served nice and hot and the wait wasn't long. Our water cups were refilled 3 times and in general they took great care of us while we were there. My only suggestion is to maybe purchase larger water cups, but my water was refilled multiple times so there was no issue! Thank you so much to the entire staff for helping me start of my New Years with a great first meal! Will be returning soon! read more

A big disappointment. People that came in a good five minutes after us were taken care of first. Coffee cup was obviously dirty, and the coffee was barely warm. My moms waffle came and was so cold that the butter didn't melt, when we mentioned it, the waitress said if she rehested in microwave it would change the texture and walked away. Did not offer to replace. She discounted the bill $5 after my mom ate her cold meal. This place gives the other ones a bad name. The one in Mukilteo was always good. My husband and I love Patty's Eggnest in Seattle, and decided to give this location a try. I am not one to pick on a restaurant because of how it looks. It did look rundown on the inside, but we had had their food at other locations and thought it would be about the same. We had no problems while we were there. Food was ok. (I had eggs benedict, my husband had a ham and cheese omelet, our usual from Patty's.) Everything was about what you would expect from a cheap restaurant. We ate around 7pm and when we got home around 9pm we were sick. No sleep that night and half of the next day (4th of July) was spent recovering. We will not be returning to this location and DO NOT recommend this location to others. It is better to take the drive to Northgate and visit that location for the service, cleanliness, and for your health. read more

Darn good breakfast served all day. Yes, it's very blue collar, what do you expect for North Everett? And no, you are not going to be blown away by stylish decor or chic atmosphere (they did remodel last year and definitely made improvements) but again, you're in North Everett. What you do get though, is a clean restaurant that serves a kick-butt breakfast all day, and solid friendly service, busy or slow. They also serve lunch and supper, but I'm a breakfast all day kinda gal. I've eaten here 30+ times over the past 10 years. The food is always tasty, piping hot and quick! My fave is the challa french toast topped with heaps of apricots and blueberries, slathered in clotted cream, with the side of super thick bacon. YUM! I personally, feel this location puts out better food than the Mukilteo location, which I used to haunt previously. All things equal between the Muk and Everett location, i'd choose this one because the food is a bit better and the service is a lot friendlier. read more

I rarely write reviews unless it is exceptional great service or very poor service. Once arrived at this location I noticed employees smoking out back. They were quick to seat us, then a few minutes went by for our waitress to show up, which I realized was one of the employees smoking out back. I went to order a New York steak and eggs finding out they were out. So I settled for a slice of ham, hash browns and eggs. Right when the waitress dropped the food on the table I asked for ketchup, she was so quick she either ignored me or didn't hear me so I had to get up and find ketchup from another table. I noticed she never came back to ask if anything was alright or if I needed anything, there was another sweet water girl covering the waitress for liquids at the minimal. I ran out of water so I waited for the girl to fill it up and then the waitress came by and said you done with your food? Before I could even respond she grabbed my plate and went off with it, I was half way finished and would've preferred a box. Terrible service! So I asked to speak to a manager and she says she is the manager! So watch out here! I believe there are plenty of people that love what they do for work and she just isn't one of them. I used to be an everyday customer here 3-6 years ago so I decided to come back. Received the worst service in a good decade! Hope this review helps others pick a more respectable restaurant!
