They quickly made space for us and welcomed us like we'd been coming there for years. The food? Incredible. My mom and dad ordered the Bunkhouse French Toast platter, my brother and husband went for the Wondering Burrito, I had the chicken bacon provolone melt, and my sister-in-law had a bagel sandwich. Every single plate came out generous, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The portions were big enough to make you consider loosening your belt, and worth every bite. We got the restaurant was closed because on the website it said it closed early the day. But on Friday nights they run specials. Tonight they had Thai food and we had the red curry. It was absolutely delicious. My wife and I split the meal. The service is very friendly here. The prices are reasonable. This place is consistently fantastic! We always stop here for breakfast on our way to the WA coast. The food is delicious, and I love that they have gluten-free options, too. Most recently I had their gluten-free French toast with savory toppings (the Greek) and it was super yummy. I love the fresh ingredients and how their portion sizes are healthy/reasonable, so I can clean my plate without feeling guilty, but still full, and not have to deal with leftovers. Adorable little cafe with a bakery case chock full of tasty offerings greets you as you walk in. I ordered a chai & partner ordered a dirty chai. Both were perfect temp, balanced sweet & spicy. We also ordered skillet scrambles. Amazing! And I know this sounds weird, but I get excited when my food is a perfect circle. I left with a full belly completely satisfied. We stopped in for a cup of coffee and a scone on our way to the ferry. The service was first rate during a moderately busy time. The seating is a bit cramped although groups of 4 or so can be accommodated. The cafe was bright and clean with a clean restroom. They serve a variety of coffee's all made to order and well done. This place is a tad too yuppified for my tastes but I did give them five stars. Here's why. I visit Cathlamet several times a year and have been doing so for eons. Nice, warm, sunny dead of Winter day so I headed down the highway in the Green Hornet. I sometimes go as far as Oysterville on Long Beach. Today I just went as far as Skamokawa. Walking around with my Nikon I came across this cute girl who was also a photographer. She shoots with a Canon but I won't hold that against her. A little chat, a little flirt..... I'm way too old to flirt with a skirt but.... asked her if she's like to have a coffee and chat. She smiles and said sure and Patty's was right around the corner so off we go. Patty's has outdoor seating (very European). Very nice breakfast. Or I guess it was more of a Sunday brunch. Not the super filling lumberjack breakfasts but the fare was tasty and filling. The coffee was VERY good and being a serious coffee snob that's mostly what I care about. Had a very nice visit and unlike many places no one was cleaning our little table and trying to shoo us off ten minutes after we got there. This place has been here for a little while if I recall correctly. Maybe a year or two? Perhaps longer. The businesses on the main drag all seemed to go under at around that same time many years ago and it wasn't until recently that the "downtown" area revitalized. It's all quite nice on main street now. Pattys is right on the corner before you head off to Puget Island. read more

Came here for breakfast after staying here for a wedding. Patty herself was working the joint solo, cooking, cleaning, making coffee, washing dishes, and just absolutely crushing it! Food was awesome, got the breakfast panini, husband and daughter got the scramble and we finished it all. I also got a coconut cream latte, and honestly, it was the best coffee I've ever had! What a cool little place for coffee and a meal. I thought it was just going to be a latte and a snack but there is a nice menu with some very delicious offerings. We had the sourdough pancakes, a breakfast burrito, Patty Whack (pancakes and eggs), an Americano and a Latte. The wife and I enjoyed our food and drinks. I was wanting to get a crepe too but by the time I finished eating the first round I was pretty much full, so next time. We also got a cinnamon roll and a puff pastry to go as they looked pretty good sitting there in the display case...and they were fantastic! I am surprised that my wife shared! Sometimes in a small town you find that the options are slacking due to less competition, but this place has great food, great drinks, delicious pastry and baked goods. We loved our experience there. It was also fun to just take our time eating and then staring out the window for twenty minutes to just enjoy the view of the town and bridge. Then we had a nice conversation with the owner. Great gal. Down to Earth, friendly and kind. Just a great place, with a great person running it and an awesome employee working the kitchen side of things. Would recommend! Even if you are thinking to just drive through and not stop, take the time to grab a coffee drink and snack for the road. You can even get smoothies! Wow! Our group had such a great experience! We can't wait to visit again. We had a large group and they were able to accommodate for us. Melissa and the other staff was so kind and patient with us! The pancakes were delicious- from a 100 year old sourdough starter! The gluten free options were also very nice. The crepes, crumpets, and breakfast burrito were all hits, too! On a recent road trip my beloved and I were hungry and I since we are on Keto I brought snacks but I looked and looked and couldn't find them. So we were driving through Cathlamet and decided to stop at Patty Cakes Cafe. I noticed they serve Keto coffee so I was hopeful and boy was I super happy. They have a customizable scramble menu! I got mushroom, spinach, roasted red pepper and avocado with double cheese. Everything was fresh and perfectly cooked. The coffee was great black for me but they had cream and stevia sweeteners and syrups if thats your thing. Hubby had the breakfast burrito which he said was absolutely delicious and he commented several times how much he loved the salsa. Our waitress was great and she reported that she eats the scramble and a cheese slider with prosciutto for lunch. I will try that next time. I am so very happy we lost our snacks and found this treasure. read more

This is how a good business owner replies? Yes business is stressful. Still no excuse to have ANTs crawling all over everything!! You contradicted your own opinion about masks. If its mandated by your county there is no reason to not wear one. My friend and i most definately had our masks on, every public place we go.PUBLIC SAFETY. O and btw YELP is a way to air our problems with a business. No worries, wont be back. The new place across the street was great! Actually you came in after everyone else and you were looking at a menu. A 6 minute wait, geeze, that's nothing. Maybe you should leave your negative comments in your head instead of airing on someone's business page. If you haven't realized yet, we are in the middle of a pandemic. Business is stressful enough. Furthermore when you don't own the building and things are unfortunately are out of your control one may stress out. I hope you don't make it a habit to pass judgement on people when you don't know all the circumstances. Like the passing of a loved one. Please think twice before you speak. Also about masks, as I recall you did not have a mask on either, really? Everyone is entitled to their opinion of mask and no mask. i Was beyond disappointed while stopping by this morning. Patty was so far from friendly or professional. My son accidentally said milkshake instead of smoothie and she snapped at him that she doesn't serve milkshakes. She screwed up our order because she was too busy talking to other customers, talking over us. Her prices are over the top for the poor quality of her food. We have been here a few times and have been consistently unimpressed with customer service, food quality and lack of mask requirements and will most likely not go back. read more
