All of their pastries and bread are homemade every day. They also have a good selection of different coffees and teas. I got a bear claw and a berry scone I believe it was called as well as an amazing mocha. Deliciously fresh. The service is as friendly as it gets. It's the kind of spot I would go to on a daily basis if I lived there. Unfortunately I only got to try it once as we were leaving the next day. We have had some of their delicious yummies at local festivals or events, and at the Mad Hatter Play Cafe where they have some items for sale; but this was the first time we had actually been into their shop ... "Ground Zero, as the owner described." =) The atmosphere inside was warm, cozy, and very inviting. I took my two boys there for a morning treat that we could have throughout the day and honestly, it was hard for me to decide what I wanted. The kids were easily beckoned by the Chocolate Chip Cookies! Ha! They both loved them (I did too, as I snuck a bite of one). Soft, thick, and just the right amount of chips. The cookie itself was good too. Some of the delights that the owner had made that morning included Pumpkin Squares, Brownies, Scones, and other types of Cookies. Being the apple fiend that I am, I went with the Apple Turnover! Boy was I happy about that decision. Flakey pastry, sweet and tart apple filling, and just a wee bit of icing on the top made this a great choice.
