I would definitely come back! Truly a hidden gem. The food was tasty, healthy, and fresh. The server was also friendly, especially for those who have dietary restrictions and allergies. This is the spot for you! I ordered the coffee and received a refill! It was only $2 for coffee. I also got the green juice ($10), and thought that it was very refreshing. My favorite item was the cheesecake! I can't believe it was vegan. I loved tasting the crunch of the Marion berry seeds. The cauliflower scramble was absolutely delicious, especially the pesto. Excellent!! Tried Green Door as we passed thru Astoria, it was wonderful!! We had the arugula avocado salad with homemade dressing, delicious and very fresh. Then the chicken salad on a homemade almond flour biscuit which was lightly dressed and the biscuit, well I wanted to take extra biscuits with us because they were so tasty, fresh and soft. Delicious! Food is fantastic. The almond flour biscuit used for sandwiches was enjoyed by Celiacs and non as well. The pickled green beans on the side were a surprise and we loved them. Will definitely be back and recommend all who want a good sandwich visit them. read more

The lady gave good service the food was expensive and very small portions. My soup of the day chicken tortilla soup was thick and very very salty. I like to eat with a lot of salt but this was way too salty. Greek salad very very small hardly any lettuce and the mushrooms with curry were the best deal. read more

The server was extremely sweet and helpful. We came for the Korean short rib tacos that everyone on Yelp raved about, but they no longer offer them on the menu because they are too expensive now. We'd had a girlfriends getaway in Long Beach and two of us were on the way home through Astoria when we found this GEM! They cater to dietary restrictions such as dairy free, paleo, keto.... and I'm not sure what else, but just ask them. The couple who own the place are GREAT... she took so much time explaining why they do what they do and we loved the conversation. My lungs hate dairy products and I like to breathe on a regular basis, so I imagine my joy when I saw a dairy free CHOWDER on the menu!! Heaven in a bowl! My friend doesn't have dietary restrictions but loves to eat healthy, so she was quite pleased as well. Both of us ordered the chowder, and I immediately purchased two more cups of it to take home with me. It doesn't strictly taste like a (dairy) chowder with bacon, but it was very much warm comfort food with cauliflower, bacon .. just delicious. Then we ordered the BLT to share. It's on their homemade almond bread, which gave the BLT an unexpected nice nutty flavor. Right now I'm having trouble remembering the other item we purchased, but it was also delicious. I did take pictures, but they're too big to add here to Yelp, so I'll do that in the next few days. If you want completely 'homemade with love', natural and local ingredients, then this is the place for you. The food doesn't taste like anywhere else, as they have their own recipes. For us it was a great exploration of new and intriguing items to taste. Both of us LOVED the food and it's now our favorite spot in Astoria. Lovely owners, that make you feel comfortable even as a nervous customer. The first time I went the owner was super lovely and explained the different items and helped me decide what to get within my diet limits. Today I went back and she remembered me and was very welcoming, they were busy but still made time to have a quick chat and help me again decide what to get I had the Mediterranean chicken wrap, the pink juice and a brownie!! I'm so happy we stopped at Green Door Cafe for breakfast! We had awesome vegan tempeh tacos and fresh juices. Looks like there are also lots of non-veggie options that are keto and/or GF. The owner was incredibly welcoming and friendly, the food was flavorful and satisfying, and the music was great. We were hoping to eat at the local food trucks but they were closed, and thank god they were because we stumbled on Green Door Café and the food was spectacular. They were able to accommodate our dietary needs and change up the dishes to make them vegan, I was scared to try the tempeh bc I haven't had good tempeh before but this completely changed my mind. What a cute little place to have lunch with some friends who came in to Astoria in a cruise line. They were from Canada and Astoria was their last stop on their way home from a 21 day cruise. So I drove up from Gaston (2 hours south) and met them for lunch. We walked around for a bit before passing this cute little restaurant. We went in and were greeted by a very beautiful and sweet young lady who let us know we were welcome to sit at the only table in the quaint place and she would assist us. Very small and clean dining room area. We perused the menu and landed on pork tacos, shrimp tacos and a quinoa bowl. Good is ultra clean, ethical and absolutely delicious. Seasoned well and perfect sized portions. It also looks beautiful when presented. I would definitely bring my friends or family here again and the pricing was fair. Check it out.
