Best coffee ever, loved their blended mocha. Awesome customer service, the lady's remembered my drink every time I returned.

I love that it has a drive thru and convenient when you are on the go. They also make the best hazelnut latte.

It was a quest to locate and stop by the Columbia River Coffee Roasters while in Astoria, OR…read more We had sampled a coffee liqueur from Adrift Distillery in Long Beach, WA and had a mocha from Seaview Biscuit Company in Seaview, WA. Both sites had collaborated or specifically featured their roasted coffee beans. Their parking lot is located beneath the Astoria Bridge and across the street from the Finnish Brotherhood Building. I noted from the exterior this was the former Finnish Meat Market. Strong Scandinavian vibes while visiting Astoria. Upon entering we were warmly greeted by a very personable staff member. We enjoyed chatting with her. The site combined both retail and production roastery with a great bright interior facing the busy thoroughfare. There's merch available, including coffee beans. (Face palm, I forgot to buy some and get a business sticker!) Note: there are no espresso beverages available. However, featured instead are drip, nitro cold brew, and sparkling lemonade. Plus there are outstanding Thundermuck chocolate truffles. The nitro cold brew topped with cream was smooth and on point. The strawberry lemonade was refreshing. The truffles were quite remarkable. Overall, a terrific experience and glad to have located this Columbia River Coffee Roaster site. Business hours are 9am-2pm Monday to Saturday, closed Sunday.

I visited in May and tried several of their specials including the Sugar Berry, Mom's Mocha, and Bee Sting and I did not regret a single one of them. Every drink was fantastic. Such a cool Astoria coffee spot with great vibes, friendly people, and amazing drinks. Highly recommend and definitely a must-visit when you're in town!

It is always on our radar when we go to Astoria. Sitting on one of the old piers with a few other shops and a small museum this place is so warm, friendly with great coffee drinks and food that is perfect. They even allowed 3 of us a couple years ago to stay and use their Internet to work. Of course we kept buying coffee and food, that is a must for taking up their customer space. The service and friendliness of this place is top notch from any coffee shop I have been too. I really would love to keep this place a secret, but I want them to be here when I return so if you are in town please go visit them and hang iut for a bit with some coffee and food.

Unfortunately, one of the cookies that was ordered, nothing was listed as having chocolate in it, and my wife has issues with chocolate. It is pretty well known that in the food service industry, chocolate and peanuts are one of those things that you should never mess with when it comes to people's intake. The lady I talked to on the phone a day later mentioned that it was vegan chocolate if it made a difference, and quite frankly, I can see where at some level that might make a difference for the dairy, but in the bigger picture, it doesn't make a bit of difference as it is chocolate that is an issue not the dairy. The bottom line is it should've had a label on the shelf tag and it did not. In our opinion, it should even have a listing of the type of chocolate (dark, lite, etc ). As that could have been a hospitalizations worse. Then, at the end of the conversation, the person I talking to was dismissive and just wanted to move on -- clearly not somebody that should be answering the phones if she's not gonna fully listen (even though she said she did) to the very valid concern. She said that there's a recipe book that we could've asked about if we had any concerns. The concern was that there was no listing on the label of the cookie that was on the shelf. Something as simple as "contains chocolate" could have averted this whole situation.
