Fantastic little find! We've been here several times, the staff & food is always amazing.

We had breakfast here on Saturday. The staff is very attentive. The easily substituted gluten free toast and rolls on request. The food was cooked well. read more

This is my favorite breakfast place in all of the barrier island I love it, I am in love with the banana pancakes but everything else is also great. The mugs are adorable and the staff is very nice as well. Hot sauce is great too. 10/10 recommend. read more

Really great breakfast. There is usually a line during the summer but they have benches and offer coffee while you wait. We've had omelette, French toast, biscuits, pancakes...you name it, we've had it. And it's all great! Fun coffee mugs to chose from too. read more

Service was great the food was wonderful pricing was good I love the smiles on people's faces they made me laugh. made me feel Welcome I will definitely be going back read more

Great food and great service. Always a friendly face and always warm and welcoming..highly recommend..

Had lunch here. Overall good food and very friendly service. It is very reasonably priced. We are planning on returning for breakfast.

My girlfriend is a local of Normandy Beach and I was lucky enough to have her introduce me to this amazing restaurant! The food and atmosphere are both out of this world. The wait staff are very kind and attentive and they know exactly what we will be ordering to drink as soon as they walk up to the table! The wait is never too long (we are enjoying it while it lasts because the summer is coming up quick) and we get our drink orders very fast. I highly recommend this restaurant to all who are in the area for a nice breakfast/lunch! read more

Love the atmosphere.. the menu offers a variety for everyone! Had the homemade tomato soup and pumpkin pancakes! Delicious!!!

Very cute place. Few gluten free options.. but it's nice that they have a few. Had an omelette with GF toast and home fries. A little pricey for breakfast, but not too bad. Normal shore prices. Service was good. Good coffee! read more

Not being familiar with this area, we were lucky enough to find this cozy and friendly restaurant. The food and service were excellent! What a great find for a nice meal while at the beach. read more

The best spot ever. Friendly, family environment. Always fresh food, never had an issue. We go here year round.

Update: it has been a bout a year and I can't believe how great they are doing. The food quality and specials keep getting better and better. I will eat here about 5-6 times a week once beach season starts up. Best place on the Island!!! read more

Amazing staff and great food! A nice family owned spot to stop for brunch while you're on vacation. They have crayons on the table so you can draw on the table mat. Will absolutely stop back the next time we're in town. read more

Great fresh food ! Extremely friendly service which is so key to a great dining experience. The decor is perfect. This is exactly what Normandy Beach has needed since the old cafe closed about 20!years ago. Hope they make it!! read more

See all

We just enjoyed the best breakfast so far down the shore!! Delicious corned beef hash poached eggs and hash browns , and tuna salad sandwich!! read more

Went here a few days ago with friends, Loved the grilled cheese menu. I got the Mushroom Swiss Grilled Cheese and it was delicious. Great new place to go for brunch. read more

So good to have a new spot in town for the summer. We've needed a diner-style meets family friendly service kinda spot. We felt bad; they were slammed from the aftermath of the Fourth of July weekend. They felt bad, we had a toddler that just wanted a grilled cheese and apple juice. Our patience and their quickly realizing we could wait (the 3 year old...not so much), her grilled cheese was out relatively quickly and our tuna melt was spot on when it was ready for us! Can't wait to go back when we return in a few weeks. read more

Best Chicken and Waffles I've ever had. Delicious. Everyone else's food was good too. Would recommend to anyone. Plus they have paper place mats at the tables and crayons to draw on them. I love places like that. read more

Went for breakfast had to wait almost 40 minutes for our order for 2 people. Once it came no great shakes. Kitchen is very slow

This place is definitely a hidden gem. Love the decor inside and the coffee mugs that are straight out of your kitchen are a great touch. The help is beyond friendly and it has outdoor seating which with a nice shore breeze is always a plus. The lack of a 5th star was just for the amount of food you get for your dollar isn't there. Don't get me wrong I'm fine not feeling over stuffed when I'm done with breakfast but the price didn't seem to match. Again that's not a knock on the place I get it's a shore town and your going to pay more. Just can't bring myself to give a place 5 stars if I don't truly believe it deserves it. That being said definitely stop by you will enjoy the place and the food and the help. read more

Patti's Kitchen - Coffee very good - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Normandy Beach, New Jersey

there are very few decent brunch places in the lavallette area and this hidden spot in normandy beach was a great find! my only complaint is that the service was pretty slow, but mostly because there was a table of 25 people sitting next to us, so we had to wait a while to get food. the staff was very accommodating though and i'll definitely be back! read more

The decor in this place is so cute! I love all the funky types of coffee mugs they have! I always get a kick out of what mine is! Service is always very friendly and welcoming!! I love their biscuits and gravy and there home fries are so tasty!! read more

Great local place for breakfast. Friendly staff and cute beach decor. It gets crowded during the summer.

Great food, great people and a super omelet this morning. Saw a friend Bruce who was my waiter which was nice.. Just all around great food and great people. Now if you want to sleep in and get there for lunch, then you get some really outrageous, super delicious soup made by Morgan and rocking grilled cheese sandwiches with different but delicious ingredients. Can't say enough about the service and food. read more

Great food, great atmosphere and decor, and super friendly staff. Went for breakfast with my friend and her 4 month old baby. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate the baby carrier and even stopped by to say hello to her when she became a bit restless. I got the chocolate lovers' French toast with a side of bacon and it was delicious. Not a large restaurant, but the size creates a nice peaceful setting to enjoy your meal without making you feel at all cramped. I would definitely recommend this place to other's looking for a great breakfast or lunch spot. read more

Our experience at Patty's was perfect! We were seated right away at an outside table. The staff is familiar with dietary needs of celiac and offered to modify the menu to substitute for bread or rolls. Highly recommend the grilled cheese on gluten free bread. The chef cleaned an area of the grill to prevent cross contamination. Everyone was relaxed and friendly. My family had fresh fruit, pancakes, eggs, bacon, omelet and sourdough toast. Everything was delicious! read more

Food is very good but service is sub-par at best. They have all kids as wait and service staff. Some of the staff look 12 years old. We have been there twice and both times waited 10 minutes for drink order and 20 minute for food order. They never come around with more coffee. These issues are all due to using children as the wait and service staff. Other restaurants in the are like Meg's or Bayside Cafe don't have these issues I would not go to this restaurant due to these issues as you get very frustrated read more

For a new restaurant opening up in prime beach season, they're doing great. I've been there twice already - once for lunch and once for breakfast. The grilled cheese menu is AWESOME looking (that's what I look forward to trying next time!) The omelets I've had were delicious and I LOVE the breakfast potatoes. It's also great they offer plain black iced coffee - hard to find at many restaurants. The place is small but adorable, giving several nods to Normandy Beach with their decor. Get there early in the AM or later in the PM for no waits. Our first time for lunch, service was a little slow, but we weren't in a rush and I'm sure everyone's just getting used to the flow of things. Can't wait to come back! read more

LOVE THIS PLACE! I came here for breakfast one morning with my mom with expectations of a normal diner- fast paced with stressed sometimes rude waitstaff- but it was nothing like that! The waitstaff was so nice and got to their tasks immediately! I ordered orange juice and within a minute it was there. I got the short order chocolate chip pancakes and within minutes got steaming hot pancakes perfectly melted and TOOK UP THE WHOLE PLATE! IT WAS FANTASTIC! Patti and the girls and their staff are so friendly and welcoming. I felt like I've known this family for years and was so comfortable in this cute and cozy cafe! Plus the wifi was super fast! Definitely recommend!! read more

The food is great the service is awesome Patty Morgan Kelsey bow Mike Trish everyone else they are amazing the place looks awesome always clean they always have a smile on your face they crack me up make me laugh I love the food though the patty melt is very tasty read more

Adorable, local, authentic. I am a fan of this breakfast/lunch place. Ordered the Caesar salad and the chicken fingers and everything came out super hot and tasty. Super sweet owner and waitress/service and very kid friendly. Also, pricing is reasonable. This is the opposite of a tourist trap and seems frequented by year-rounders. Only heads up would be the parking is a bit tight. Glad I got a spot. Can't wait to come back!! read more

Great breakfast, with bottomless coffee. Homemade food with friendly service and owner.

First time here today. Delicious Buffalo chicken grilled cheese, chicken and waffles, breakfast combo, and Denver omelette. Delicious hot sauce, locally made in New Jersey. I even bought a bottle to bring home. Service was friendly and fast, prices appropriate. Very cute inside. read more

loved it. good food. cute place. love the eclectic style huge different coffee cups/mugs... food tasted good.

Food is awesome, service is super friendly. I really hope this local spot stays open for many years to come. Everything on the menu is excellent! Thanks for the great experience! read more

I love having breakfast down the shore and this place was great. It's so good that you might have to wait to get in. Only draw back but that's what happens when it's a local and vacationer favorite. If you are going to be more than 4, call first and reserve. Coffee was served in nice big mugs and it was a good cup of coffee. I had the greek omelet and it was yummy. 2 other people in my party had the chicken and waffles. Nice crispy white meat chicken with a maple gravy that was delicious. Food was fresh and cooked to order so there might be a slight wait. Staff was extremely nice. Worth checking it out. On a side note, parking lot is small so you might need to park on one of the side streets. read more

Very friendly staff, great decor inside, straight forward breakfast and lunch place with great food options. I've been here once for breakfast and lunch, both meals were delicious. The only down side is there is a relatively long wait for the food once you order. read more

I hope that you have plenty of time for a visit to this place! Atmosphere is nice, but very little flexibility on menu choices, and extremely short on staff! After waiting over an hour for breakfast, food was mediocre. Other nearby tables had very similar concerns. read more

Cute place with an interesting breakfast menu. Service was a problem on our first visit but we will try it again.
