My girlfriend is a local of Normandy Beach and I was lucky enough to have her introduce me to this amazing restaurant! The food and atmosphere are both out of this world. The wait staff are very kind and attentive and they know exactly what we will be ordering to drink as soon as they walk up to the table! The wait is never too long (we are enjoying it while it lasts because the summer is coming up quick) and we get our drink orders very fast. I highly recommend this restaurant to all who are in the area for a nice breakfast/lunch! read more

Amazing staff and great food! A nice family owned spot to stop for brunch while you're on vacation. They have crayons on the table so you can draw on the table mat. Will absolutely stop back the next time we're in town. read more

This place is definitely a hidden gem. Love the decor inside and the coffee mugs that are straight out of your kitchen are a great touch. The help is beyond friendly and it has outdoor seating which with a nice shore breeze is always a plus. The lack of a 5th star was just for the amount of food you get for your dollar isn't there. Don't get me wrong I'm fine not feeling over stuffed when I'm done with breakfast but the price didn't seem to match. Again that's not a knock on the place I get it's a shore town and your going to pay more. Just can't bring myself to give a place 5 stars if I don't truly believe it deserves it. That being said definitely stop by you will enjoy the place and the food and the help. read more

So good to have a new spot in town for the summer. We've needed a diner-style meets family friendly service kinda spot. We felt bad; they were slammed from the aftermath of the Fourth of July weekend. They felt bad, we had a toddler that just wanted a grilled cheese and apple juice. Our patience and their quickly realizing we could wait (the 3 year old...not so much), her grilled cheese was out relatively quickly and our tuna melt was spot on when it was ready for us! there are very few decent brunch places in the lavallette area and this hidden spot in normandy beach was a great find! my only complaint is that the service was pretty slow, but mostly because there was a table of 25 people sitting next to us, so we had to wait a while to get food. the staff was very accommodating though and i'll definitely be back! read more

Great food, great people and a super omelet this morning. Saw a friend Bruce who was my waiter which was nice.. Just all around great food and great people. Now if you want to sleep in and get there for lunch, then you get some really outrageous, super delicious soup made by Morgan and rocking grilled cheese sandwiches with different but delicious ingredients. LOVE THIS PLACE! I came here for breakfast one morning with my mom with expectations of a normal diner- fast paced with stressed sometimes rude waitstaff- but it was nothing like that! The waitstaff was so nice and got to their tasks immediately! I ordered orange juice and within a minute it was there. I got the short order chocolate chip pancakes and within minutes got steaming hot pancakes perfectly melted and TOOK UP THE WHOLE PLATE! IT WAS FANTASTIC! Patti and the girls and their staff are so friendly and welcoming. I felt like I've known this family for years and was so comfortable in this cute and cozy cafe! Plus the wifi was super fast! Adorable, local, authentic. I am a fan of this breakfast/lunch place. Ordered the Caesar salad and the chicken fingers and everything came out super hot and tasty. Super sweet owner and waitress/service and very kid friendly. Also, pricing is reasonable. This is the opposite of a tourist trap and seems frequented by year-rounders. Only heads up would be the parking is a bit tight. Glad I got a spot. Can't wait to come back!! read more

Great food, great atmosphere and decor, and super friendly staff. Went for breakfast with my friend and her 4 month old baby. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate the baby carrier and even stopped by to say hello to her when she became a bit restless. I got the chocolate lovers' French toast with a side of bacon and it was delicious. Not a large restaurant, but the size creates a nice peaceful setting to enjoy your meal without making you feel at all cramped. I would definitely recommend this place to other's looking for a great breakfast or lunch spot. read more

Our experience at Patty's was perfect! We were seated right away at an outside table. The staff is familiar with dietary needs of celiac and offered to modify the menu to substitute for bread or rolls. Highly recommend the grilled cheese on gluten free bread. The chef cleaned an area of the grill to prevent cross contamination. Everyone was relaxed and friendly. My family had fresh fruit, pancakes, eggs, bacon, omelet and sourdough toast. Food is very good but service is sub-par at best. They have all kids as wait and service staff. Some of the staff look 12 years old. We have been there twice and both times waited 10 minutes for drink order and 20 minute for food order. They never come around with more coffee. These issues are all due to using children as the wait and service staff. Other restaurants in the are like Meg's or Bayside Cafe don't have these issues I would not go to this restaurant due to these issues as you get very frustrated read more

For a new restaurant opening up in prime beach season, they're doing great. I've been there twice already - once for lunch and once for breakfast. The grilled cheese menu is AWESOME looking (that's what I look forward to trying next time!) The omelets I've had were delicious and I LOVE the breakfast potatoes. It's also great they offer plain black iced coffee - hard to find at many restaurants. The place is small but adorable, giving several nods to Normandy Beach with their decor. Get there early in the AM or later in the PM for no waits. Our first time for lunch, service was a little slow, but we weren't in a rush and I'm sure everyone's just getting used to the flow of things. Can't wait to come back! read more

First time here today. Delicious Buffalo chicken grilled cheese, chicken and waffles, breakfast combo, and Denver omelette. Delicious hot sauce, locally made in New Jersey. I even bought a bottle to bring home. Service was friendly and fast, prices appropriate. Very cute inside. read more

I love having breakfast down the shore and this place was great. It's so good that you might have to wait to get in. Only draw back but that's what happens when it's a local and vacationer favorite. If you are going to be more than 4, call first and reserve. Coffee was served in nice big mugs and it was a good cup of coffee. I had the greek omelet and it was yummy. 2 other people in my party had the chicken and waffles. Nice crispy white meat chicken with a maple gravy that was delicious. Food was fresh and cooked to order so there might be a slight wait. Staff was extremely nice. Worth checking it out. On a side note, parking lot is small so you might need to park on one of the side streets. read more

This place is AMAZING. Very clean, and very cute beachy décor! Service was extremely friendly and hard working. We went in the middle of the day so my boyfriend got the pizza grilled cheese as well as the breakfast combo with chocolate chip pancakes! Both very delicious.
