I had ordered the dulce de leche on the bottom and soft chocolate and vanilla twist on top in a cone. But when she went to put the soft ice cream on top it came out in a circle around the edge instead of a normal ice cream swirl. And she put it on a cup, which was fine, but she went to add a swirl on top but the soft ice cream was unfinished. I told the girls that something was wrong with the ice cream and said it was having problems. I don't know why you would serve this.

Delicious! We also grabbed a slice of their homemade coffee cake. Again, delicious! And of course, some beans for our rental to make early morning coffees before the sunrise. My parents went back on their own trip and ordered a pork roll & cheese on a Kaiser roll sandwich (see pic for the ample serving size) and mentioned they had a morning/mid-day live musician serenading them while they ate outside. So fun! They offer outdoor seating and also lunch (I believe they close around 2p). Parking for most of these spots on the shore can be found on the street, although walkable pending where you're staying down the shore. Highly recommend!

Once you take Channel Marker for what it's worth, the experience becomes a whole lot better. This…read moreis a dockside eatery with great views - meant to be a casual spot for you to enjoy some food while you watch the sunset. It doesn't promise to be an elite experience, and it is a very popular spot especially in the summer. It gets slammed and a reservation is recommended! I've been to Channel Marker a few times within the past summer, both positive experiences - although, they were slammed last night and the kitchen was backed up, so we ended up waiting a while for our entrees. We were not in a rush so we didn't mind. Channel Marker is known for their crabcakes, and whether you get the appetizer or the entree, they are definitely a must. They're giant and use little to no filler in the recipe - and when the menu says 'colossal,' they mean it. One crabcake is honestly enough for a full entree! I actually like the flavors / accoutrement better on the single appetizer crabcake as opposed to those with the entree. I've also had the salmon, which was a giant and well-seasoned piece of fish - however, I was not into the sides that it came with. In fact, I find the side dishes to be weirdly insulting to the delicious piece of salmon that this place serves. It comes with lump crab bruscetta, and I really do think it's a waste of crab. I hope they consider changing the sides for the salmon in the future - it's such a nice piece of fish, the crab salad overshadows the salmon entirely. (Also, the ratatouille salad was fine but not to my taste.) Also, the roasted potatoes / garlic linguine are killer. (I would rather have a side of those roasted potatoes with my salmon than the salad they were serving!) One thing is for certain - every time we come here, the food is extremely fresh and hot. In addition, the staff busts their butts here. The place is easily overwhelmed because it's small, and the waitresses do their best. Shout out to Dominique, who we've had a couple of times now! Each time she was pleasant, informative, and accommodating.

She was overwhelmed and said that it was their busiest time of the year and we just needed to wait for it to be out. She didn't ask for our name or check the status of our bagel. We continued to wait for our bagel but saw people ordering after us and still getting their sandwich order before I got mine. After now 30 minutes we asked one more time just for the status of the bagel. Lady at the register was extremely rude and told me I only had waited 15 minutes however I had the credit card time stamped. We overheard them speaking about how there was clearly a confusion and the order was never placed, and instead of apologizing for not checking on the bagel like we asked her to before, she rudely lied and loudly told us that we were only waiting for "17 minutes" and that it usually takes 20 minutes and implied we were being impatient except we were there for 35 minutes. She gaslit us into thinking we were being rude instead of just apologizing to us for the confusion. Bagel and cheesecake were excellent but customer service was very poor. I would recommend ordering ahead of time and just picking up.
