Decided to shoot down to Patti's Kitchen for an 8am breakfast. The place seemed like it was a regular hangout for people living around here, but I bet it's still swamped during the season. Our server was super friendly and brought us coffee and waters quickly. We both kept it simple here with my wife ordering scrambled eggs, bacon, home fries and sourdough toast and I had a ham and Swiss omelette, home fries and sourdough toast. Simple meals that came out quickly and done perfectly. I love that they the portions here are actually correct portion sizes and not an overwhelming amount of food. And I don't know what they do to their hash browns, but WOW. Tasted almost like mashed potatoes, but with the consistency of hash browns. Very good coffee and food, excellent and friendly service, small parking lot and on-street parking - this is an easy one to recommend, I would definitely come back. read more

Patti's is still wonderful! Great breakfast, good service, cozy and cute atmosphere. There's plenty of street parking and a small lot that holds a few cars. If you arrive at 9 or after, you'll likely have to wait for a breakfast table. Aim for 8:30-8:45. The crab cakes Benedict are delicious. They have such a great hollandaise sauce here. The crab cakes really good too - mostly crab. My daughter is in love with their strawberry Nutella pancakes and still gets it every time, every visit, every year. The meat and egg sandwiches here are huge. They have big croissants. Coffee is good and they keep your mug full. Hot chocolates are nice as well. No credit card fee and I still very highly recommend this place for breakfast!!! We plan to eat here twice in the same week. read more

Stopped in for lunch. Everything was pretty standard diner fare. Prices are reasonable. What really stood out to me was the service. They were packed and all of the staff were very friendly and everything came out fairly quickly. This was the best stop our noble chum posse made during a recent foray down the shore, beating out the fried Oreo and artisanal cocktail competition. We came here for breakfast a few Mondays ago around mid-morning, everyone famished. There was a slight wait (clearly a popular destination - a positive sign), which was only a concern because the sky looked like it was about to open up and drown us. We were seated less than 10 minutes later, still thankfully dry. The interior of Patti's is cute, rustic and a bit intimate - it feels like you're having a meal at a friend's house rather than a restaurant. It was pretty crowded (I don't think I saw an empty table while we were there) but didn't feel claustrophobic. Despite being there at a busy time, at no point were we rushed by the staff to get out of there to open up tables for others, nor did we have to wait around for a significant period of time to order or receive our food. It certainly speaks to their ability to pack this place consistently throughout the day. I ordered the Crab Cake Benedict dish off Patti's breakfast special menu (which was part of the permanent breakfast menu so I'm not sure what actually makes it special per se, but no matter). We also ordered a stack of blueberry pancakes to share, a concept that has never occurred to me before but is something I intend to do in the future quite often - who can eat a whole stack? And for someone like me who constantly agonizes over whether to get something sweet or savory at breakfast, this is the perfect solution. Everything was delicious. The crab cake entrée was a hearty portion, but not over the top. I'm usually not crazy about hash browns/home fries being shredded (I have mostly a texture-based palate) but the pieces were still pretty much packed together so it was easy to shovel into my maw. And the pancakes were the perfect density, not too heavy but still packed a punch. This would have been great just based on the food, but the service went above and beyond. Everyone was over the moon about the waiter, who good-naturedly teased our chum's voracious appetite, was super personable and accommodating, and was always nearby if needed. When we were getting the check at the end, he provided a Harry Potter-themed pen for us to use, and upon witnessing our pleased reactions, gave an impish smile and said, "I thought you'd like that." Just a delight. You either have the temperament/personality to pull that off, or you don't. This guy did, and knew it. It's not hard to find hearty breakfasts in this area, but good luck finding a better option than this one. read more

Every time I visit my shore house I am always looking forward to this spot. Patti's kitchen is always busy and their servers are always so very kind and inviting. I love the vibes here. My go-to order is one of the omelettes (usually veggie or Greek) with the fries and bread. Sometimes Turkey sausage on side. It is so very hard to not get their pancakes because they are so so nicely made and delicious. My family and I will always be returning customers here! read more

Patti's Kitchen is a family owned well oiled machine. This place knows what they are doing every staff member was refilling something or making coffee or refilling the ice. I got the medley of French toast (or you could get pancakes) eggs, and choice of meat (i got Taylor ham) with toast. My mom got the waffles with blueberries. We both thought the food was excellent and ate everything. Literally nothing was left. I am honestly surprised this place doesn't have more reviews and maybe it's because just word of mouth works for them. I heard from a friend that this place was great. read more

Excellent service (very friendly staff); food was fresh and the portions are generous. I had the fruit , yogurt and granola bowl and it was so fresh! My partner had an omelette with hashbrowns that were delicious. It's an adorable place with large and unique coffee cups. This is the first time I've been to Patti's after the renovation, and I was so excited to check out the new place! The new paint and a new dining room upgrades the restaurant and makes it feel fresher, but I'm glad the punny signs and quirky knickknacks still have a place on the walls. We braced ourselves for a long wait, considering we arrived at 10:30 AM, but we were seated right away! Our waitress was very attentive and brought us our drinks almost immediately after we sat down. I always get the chocolate lover's French toast, but I was tempted to mix it up and try the Nutella and strawberry pancakes or the white chocolate raspberry French toast. If you're looking for something that tastes like dessert but still can qualify as breakfast, definitely go to Patti's! My mom ordered the classic Taylor Ham (or Pork Roll? This place drives me crazy. Every time we come here there's a problem with getting seated. We walked in hostess says they're clearing a table now. I see an open table but it's for 4 not 2 so ok. We wait about 10 minutes for them the clear the table. Great little brunch spot a block from the ocean. I called in a takeout order and picked it up about 30 minutes later. This is definitely a neighborhood spot as there's not a lot of parking nearby. When I went in to the restaurant for my order, they had a table (with hand sanitizer) set up to prevent people from going more than a few steps into the restaurant. A friendly woman let me know my order was on the grill and took my payment: once I paid, she said I could wait outside and they'd bring my order out. I appreciated that. I waited outside as far from the patrons dining at the few outdoor tables as I could be. Food came out shortly. The chicken and waffles were amazing, the asparagus and cream cheese omelet was delicious and the chicken parm and chicken cheesecake sandwiches were great. Four lunches for about $40. Decided to finally come back this morning and ordered to go. I'm not sure what happened but I've all of the sudden fallen in love with their home fries unlike in my first review. They ARE SO GOOD. My boyfriend even said they were different then the last time we had them and so much better. We got the breakfast combo with chocolate chip pancakes (a fav of ours) and the sliders with 3 different meats after the employee suggested I try that out. So so good and I really love that it's now "local summer" which allowed pick up to be a breeze! We will have to stop by more often! read more

1:30 in the afternoon after a night of alcohol and dancing. I'm craving a grilled cheese sandwich. So heard about Patti's Kitchen and their sandwiches so here we are dry mouth and all lol. Cute place on route 35, about 10 tables inside and about 4 tables outside. The decor is beachy with antique accents. The waitress and hostess were very nice and we sat at the counter. Upon looking and the lunch / breakfast menu the prices are very affordable. I ordered the Turkey, bacon avocado grill cheese and my GF ordered the bacon, cheddar apple grill cheese. Once we ordered the waitress advised it may be a little due to all the take outs and a full house. 30 min went by and our lunches came. Yes a little bit later then I wanted but I was in no rush and the waitress was up front with me. The sandwiches were so fresh, the cheddar apple had a very nice sweet taste. The turkey avocado was filled with turkey and enjoyable with every bite. This is a local individually owned establishment with Patti herself running the kitchen.
