Not quite sure who the haters are bombing on Patrick's, but you need to lighten up a bit. It's Patrick's, not Jean Georges in Trump Tower! Skiing Jiminy, staying at the Crowne Plaza, Patricks is a safe, quick walk. Located right in the center of town on the circle, the atmosphere is set before you even walk in. AND...when you do walk in...the first thing you notice are the really cool brick arch doorways, but you are quickly distracted by the uber friendly hostess...WHO WAS SOOOOOO ACCOMMODATING! (Sorry, Guinness made me forget your name...so I'll call you Angel, because that was what you were) I came in at 5:00 on a Friday and ask for two tables (one for our 8 well behaved kids aged 11-18 and one for 7 adults) and within a matter of minutes she had two tables in close proximity to each other set and ready to go. Not expecting such quick service, our party hadn't all arrived, so we waited at the bar. Wouldn't you know it, more friendly, attentive service! Mark took our orders and impressed me with his mad clover making skills in my Guinness. (See photo). We came for the wings...and boy did they bring they deliver. (See amazing photo) I usually only like the wings my husband makes, but boy was I impressed with these. We went from ordering 25 to 50 wings when we saw an order carried past our table, and it's a good thing we did because the kids ordered 15 and soon learned they needed more! Like seagulls, they swooped in. And call me crazy, but I think they have a celery connection somewhere, because it was the most refreshing celery (and yummy...not overpowering blue cheese) ever! The mound of nachos with all of the mex toppings that make nachos fun, were just as pleasing. Nachos are not my first choice (has to do with food OCD...it's too chaotic) BUT these Were Awesome!!! Fresh grilled chicken, guac, salsa....mmmmmm... My friends loved their Waldorf salads, they guys raved about the burgers, my grilled chicken sandwich was yummy..interesting roll...nice and fluffy :). The kids were very pleased with the quesadillas, burgers, chicken tenders, french onion soup, and my son couldn't stop talking about the New England clam chowder vat they brought out. Don't let those few negative reviews turn you away. They must have been in a bad mood when they wrote it. Patrick's will be a part of our Jiminy trips from here on out. read more

Sat at the bar for 15 minutes. Made eye contact with the bar tender on 3 separate occasion, never once did she acknowledge our presence. Left without ever having anyone speak to us. All we wanted was a couple beers and an appetizer before our movie. Very disappointing. Went to Panchos instead. read more

Arrived at the restaurant at 5:07 PM. Was told a table would be available for the 6 of us within an hour. An hour and twenty minutes later still no table. Others that arrived after us were seated before us and they do not take reservations. Apparently Patrick's does not believe in pushing tables together to accommodate guests. read more

I had left over wings from this place and didn't think they were anything great. Granted they had been in a fridge for about a day and not heated up but from what I had, nothing special. I went around xmas and wasn't that impressed. I thought service was pretty slow considering it was the afternoon and there was maybe one other customer inside. I got a burger which was fine, nothing to write home about. Tried a couple of appetizers. The blooming onion was good, tasted just like what it should. The stuffed seafood mushrooms I though were too much money for 4 of them and seafood was hard to taste, considering I doubt it was fresh anyway. Also the Chili potato skins weren't great and were horrible when taken home and eaten later. For a quick burger then it's not bad but I doubt I will go back. Plus parking sucks. read more

Decent place. Reasonable food and prices. Nice interior. Seems like the place to be in Pittsfield. I would return if in the area and looking for a beer. Had the wings, nachos, and burger. Wings were standard for a bar as were the nachos. My burger didn't come as ordered. I ordered medium rare, I got a well done burger. Hope it was just because they were so busy. A local sometimes favorite. Tonight I had the chicken almondine which was incredible. It came with a side of pasta. The pasta was topped with garlic and oil. The olive oil was too overpowering, so i sent it back. The waitress brought me another side, but said she had to charge me for it. How's that for customer service? I refused the side order and my party did not order dessert & coffee. The $1.50 charge for the side cost the restaurant $28.00 in dessert and coffee. This is not smart business to me. There are many other places to eat in town and for the time being I will take my business elsewhere. Good food, poor management. read more

The person who took our order over the phone sounded annoyed and grumpy. When we picked up our food, the staff was equally unfriendly. The blooming onion was mushy and greasy. Stopped in after a long day hiking the Appalachian Trail.....and wow! This place makes quite possibly the best wings I've ever had! The locals call this place Patrick's Pube for a reason... It's always too bright in this funny bar, the food is extremely mediocre, and the drinks are really weird. Basic local yokel Budweiser bar. I did have to order the "Poop in a Pool" when I saw it on the drink menu once though. It came in a martini glass and was a Windex color blue (tasted like it too!!) and had a tootsie roll in the bottom. So I suppose at the least they get brownie points for innovation. :-) read more

We stopped in for dinner and we're pleasantly suprised with their huge menu of choices. My shrimp cocktail was fabulous, my salad with chicken delightful. My spouse had the meatloaf with regular gravy and rice, he lived it. For dessert we had something lucious with chocolate, pecans and caramel. Everything was priced reasonable too! From somebody who worked in pubs, this is your good ole classic pub. It's the same people as J. Allen's, which I think contributes to the down-to-earth service, but the food/ingredients are better quality bar fare. The onion rings look amazing, but are very bland. Go for the Pork Schnitzel if you're looking for something like a burger. The Chef Salad is perfection. I'm not into sports, so it's great that there can be a couple dozen sports fans living their best life the bar, but it never takes away from my nice dinner experience. Pro tip: if you're under 40 you will likely hear this strange intermittent high pitched tone. It's part of the appeal for us at this point. read more

Another random stop in the Berkshires area netted us a big win after enduring a timeshare sales pitch from possibly the most irritating man on the planet We ducked into Patrick's after discovering that the "Underground Pub" down the street is just a front for a vacant lot. Patrick's is dark and pretty cozy - just what I want in a bar. We took our usual positions at the bar, and ordered some drinks. Maryann, who is the friendliest bartender I've ever had the pleasure to be served by, mixed a valiant attempt at a Gibson, but made it a little too dry for my taste. Whatever, at least they stock cocktail onions! She gave us a lot of great tips about the area, not the least of which was "There's nothing to see in Pittsfield". She was kinda right, too. But I digress. The food here was a real surprise! The burger was really quite fantastic, as are their pub fries. I really wanted to try the wings, as they are highly touted as seven-time YMCA Wing-off winners, but I'll have to wait till the next time I'm in Pittsfield. Um. The portobello sandwich was as good as they come, fresh and full of really meaty, mushroomy flavor. Always buy local! The two local beer selections on tap, The Steel Rail and the Pale Ale were both fantastic. The Steel Rail is lighter, with a milder hop profile, while the Pale Ale is actually darker, but with a bold, hoppy kick in the teeth. Both were great. Apparently it's packed like sardines at night, but for lunch, we found it a pleasant, uncrowded surprisingly cool place which we would definitely check out again. read more

I visited this restaurant with my friend Cody on the second Monday of May on the way to drumming. The music was a nice mix and quiet enough for chitchat, and there were some pictures about Ireland. We recently were lucky enough to find a good & large local pub just adjacent from The Crowne Plaza Hotel. The building itself is very old and has a lot of cool history behind it, as we walked past a 15' high wooden door. Folks, this is not your typical 'box' pub that was put up in 56 days. lol...This building once housed prisoners during the Civil War (correct me if I'm wrong)..So, if your a big American Histroy buff, then you'd like this part!! There were plenty of good 'window seats' which overlooked the center of Pittsfield. We were fortunate to have been seated on a cute two seater table. There were plenty of folks there enjoying a Saturday night out....great local beer "Steel Pale"...was tasty! Now for the entrees! My wife enjoyed her fried scallops/fries. Included was a delicious ceasar salad which she loved as well! I had the "Petite Steak" dinner for only $9.99 which also included a house salad. I received a generous portion of steak and really enjoyed my medium cooked piece of meat with some A1 Sauce!!! I also subsituted my fries for some decent mixed vegies which included green beans and yellow squash! Our waitress was very good and gave good advice about some local attractions. We did have to wait a little extra than 20 mintutes for our entrees (when your hungry it feels like forever) but well worth it! Visited on 8/14/2014 Group of 4, and again, thankfully we had reservations. Even for a weeknight, this place was busting at the seams. I wasn't too surprised, as the food is a good value. Service could have been much better; we were left waiting for a noticeable amount of time between being seated, providing drinks, apps, entrees, and finally the check. When the water was replenished, it was from a community jug that all of the servers share; it had run out of ice long, long ago. But, water is water when you're snacking on wings. Speaking of the wings, they are pricey. They came as ordered (crispy and wet), and were very good. But $23.00 for $25.00 is a bit over a buck a wing. Tough to swallow when I can name several bars that have 'happy hour' wings where they are $.10 each. And before you think 'Maybe they were ridiculously huge wings'; they weren't. They were your average sized, run-of-the-mill wings. I'm not going to not get the wings here, and maybe that is what the owners are banking on, but they are expensive. I came here for dinner with a friend and we were asked about a preference of seat and then were seated right away. The hostess and waitress were both very accommodating and the wait time was just right. I ordered the homemade mozzarella to start which was to die for and my friend ordered a side salad (she's been here many times before as this is a local favorite). I had the pub club sandwich and she ordered the veggie wrap and we were both very satisfied with our meals. I brought half my sandwich home for my husband since I got so full and he loved it as well. My friend also raved about the beer selection and the cocktails sure looked tempting (I'll have to go back since I'm pregnant and couldn't try any). Great place for a family dinner. Food was amazing and service was exceptional. We were in town for some skiing and wanted a place that would accommodate kids (10 and 13), and we couldn't have been happier with Patricks. Our waitress Kristen was amazing - very personable and attentive. The buffalo wings were great, as were the fish and chips. My daughter had the mozzarella sticks which were made fresh. Admittedly, I stole one. And prices were very reasonable compared to the what we are used to in Long Island. If you are flying solo, the bar looked very nice as well. Will be back for sure. My bartender Kenneth was AMAZING. He was so friendly and made sure I was always happy! He checked on me frequently and never let my drink run empty. One of the best bartenders I've ever had. Ok so let's start today's rant - so we are out and about today and our plans did not go as planned so the place we headed to was not open, so we scrambled for plan B. So we then try to find something else and no one has updated their website so when we think things are open, they are not!! So we are heading to another place that says they are open and we pass a place that had said they were closed but they were open - so we are now in front of Patrick's Pub in Pittsfield and we are surprised to see that they are open - we had been there before and a had a good time - so we put money in the meter and go in - the hostess says "oh we are closing now at closing now at 1:30 and open again at 4pm" - we say where is the sign and she says it is outside - they have a big chalk board that says how to get in the place but nothing else - so we say your manager should advertise a little better and she comes running over and says "oh you need a manager" - so she immediately becomes becomes a biatch - we tell her we just put money in the meter and she doesn't care - we then leave and I'm still not seeing her sign that says she closes at 1:30pm - ok so fine, I don't need to go to your establishment any more either - so much for "the customer is always right" and aren't you here to serve the public and especially the people that come to your town as a visitor - this is tourist season, you need our money for your paycheck especially doing this "covid" time. So never even got to review the food, but at this time, I don't care. Someone recommended another place, The Brook House (or Haus) and it was just what we were looking for and as an added bonus, they had the beer we love from Chris from Wandering Star brewery - could not have turned out any better!! read more

Went there for a work lunch. Irish nachos were wonderful. Horseradish sauce was amazing. Rest of the food was ok. I had the Solstice salad and was very disappointed. Chicken way over cooked and dry. The waitresses were very nice and fast with great service, but the manager is horrible. I was informed that her name is Shannon. She was on her phone while her servers were busting their butts. I watched as servers ran back and forth to try to run food from the kitchen but she just watched as drinks sat on the bar, didn't help at all. I waited over an hour for my food(which was simply ok, nothing special) and she didn't do anything, didn't even stop by to check on us, and instead I watched her send our server to check on us and talked to her right after. She felt more like a high school gossip than a manager. Sad choice of leadership here. Wouldn't recommend coming here as a customer. I came last week, but couldn't get this horrible taste out of my mouth and made my account just for this review. read more

After visiting the Berkshire museum we were hungry and found this gem for lunch. Place had a new lunch menu and food was good.

Why such a high grade? Let's start with the extremely nice and professional staff. The menu is wide with something for everyone. And a lot of the offerings are made from scratch. The turkey burger is juicy which is a minor miracle. It's not haute cuisine but what they do serve is reliably good food for not a lot of money. read more
