Visited Patrick's on Saturday night (11/20/21) with a friend. Overall our server was a great, very attentive, patient and she kept making sure we were doing ok. However, I think the restaurant may need a better chef and enhancements to the flavor profile of its menu items. For a black owned restaurant I was surprised at the lack of seasoning in some of the dishes. However, the ambiance, attentive staff and overall good vibe of the restaurant will still make me return for another try. Here is a breakdown of our food: Mussels - sauce was good but think an added touch of sausage will enhance flavor Crab cakes - just ok Spicy Lobster Mac and cheese- perhaps the most disappointing. The lobster was not cooked into the Mac to give it an awesome seafood flavor. It lacked seasoning (a lot of it). For a black owned space I expected way more Seafood Pasta - seasoned well, but still tasted like a basic Olive Garden pasta Lamb Chops- the Moroccan spice was missing something and definitely salt, the rice was really good and the sauce didn't taste like traditional tzatziki. Again, this could have been an off night so certainly willing to try again, but I think management should revisit the flavor profile of the menu items again. read more

Today was the first time that I visited Patrick's. My family went there for brunch for my mom's birthday. The atmosphere and decor are beautiful. The food was ok. For example, my son reported that the boneless ribeye was overcooked and a little chewy. The server didn't ask how he wanted it done. The chicken and waffles was average. The service was a little slow, but then we had a party of 10 so... The staff was very friendly, especially the maitre'd and one of the servers, I think her name was Sabine. She was very attentive to my elderly mom. Patrick's is an unexpected neighborhood delight. I will definitely go again when I next visit NYC. read more

i came there a second time to follow up on my first time dining in and sadly i can just say things aren't consistent. the salad was nothing like the one i had the first time, bummer. I can tell that different cooks show case a difference in their presentation, which isnt good. Bartenders do not make the same drinks, huge difference in recipes for sure between different bartenders. One bartender made my drink and had it sitting there for a while before presenting me with the drink he already made. consistency is needed ! still a great atmosphere whenever you go however! My friends and I unintentionally visited Patrick Steakhouse on two different occasions. Our experience on both occasions was pretty much the same... The restaurant's ambiance is a vibe (especially the outside dining area) but that's probably the best thing about it. The food lacks seasoning and the menu is underwhelming. The only thing worth trying are the crab cakes and lamb chops. The service is also disappointing. Despite our food taking forever to be prepared, we were rushed out because they wanted to close. They shouldn't accept late reservations if that is the case. The menu is also unnecessarily expensive as the food is subpar. This restaurant has a lot of potential and I'm always up for supporting my fellow black businesses, but I probably won't be back. read more

Love the ambiance of this place. We sat in the back and the scenery inside is simply beautiful! For outside dining, I expected it to be on the chilly side as it was kinda windy and cold outside, but to my surprise there was good heating, it was very comfortable! I ordered he shrimp and grits and it was ok. My daughter ordered the French toast with a side of bacon which she said was very tasty. She also ordered a side of the lobster Mac & Cheese which was great! The salmon, which my cousin ordered was tasty as well! So overall, the rating of a four is well deserved! Patrick SH has been on my place to visit for some time now and was finally able to dine in a few days ago. This restaurant is quite cozy and inviting. I totally enjoyed the music, which was a nice mix of reggae, R&B & some soca and wasn't too loud, so great for having a conversation with my mate. We shared the Sopa de Mussels for our appetizer. OMG!!!!!! What an explosion of flavor!!! I wanted to drink that mussels sauce :-) We added just a spritz of lemon, which took it to the next level. The mussels tasted fresh & the sauce had the right amount of creaminess and spice, which was deeelicous with the bread that soaked up all the flavor. What an absolutely delicious dish!!! For my entree, I had the Ribeye steak (medium) with Chimichurri sauce & sautéed mixed veges. I kid you not - my steak with perfectly done. Great texture & flavor with a hint of fresh rosemary & salted just right. The sautéed veges complimented the steak perfectly. My mate had the roasted Salmon and was very happy with the taste & crispness on the skin. We both were really pleased with our dinner and will definitely be back to try out more of their menu. I ate here 5/12/24 for Mothers day. I had the Steak. I didn't like that the $45.00 steak is A la carte and you have to pay for side orders separately who just eat a piece a steak with no side. Some of the people that I was with complained the food was cold. They did enjoys the lamb and the salmon, The steak wasn't worth it , it didn't have any flavor,The Mac & Cheese was ok but definitely had wayyyy better. Restaurant is small and I also didn't like that they created a Mother's Day Menu and boosted the prices up than the everyday menu. I've been meaning to try this restaurants for a while. Decided to skip a fav brunch spot to try here. When we arrived, someone who worked there named Steve moved our party of 4 to outside seating with a DJ as we requested and we were thankful. Unfortunately, we did not enjoy our Brunch. We had water for over 30 mins waiting with a menu. Then after ordering drinks they didn't have one flavor and our waiter forgot to being mine. Then our food took even longer and it was very subpar and disappointing. Two orders of chicken and waffles. Chicken was burnt and the waffles were dark on the outside and flavorless. My waffles were supposed to be red velvet and it was brown on the outside and pink inside. My friend got calamari and lobster Mac and didn't enjoy either. Her mom got coconut shrimp and a salad and didn't finish the shrimp. We got drinks; my bf and I had margaritas they were good and my friend and her mom got frozen drinks and didn't finish them. Then the menu didn't mention any automatic gratuity but somehow we were charged that. Although the backyard set up provides a "vibe" with decor and DJ, we agreed it wasn't worth it. The downside of my experience were first when one place order for steak as an entree we should not have ask for steak knife it's automatic that your waitress in this case replaced our Utensils and and bring steak knife to our table my NY strip steak medium rare was definitely a missed too chewy and hard over cooked and they forget my sauce for the steak the vegetables for my side the broccoli Rabe had bitter taste to it where we were seated. Searching for fine dining for a late Saturday night dinner in Crown Heights and happened upon Patrick's. I found myself loving this great steakhouse with an ethnic spin. The food was terrific, including a perfectly cooked filet with an exceptional chimichurra sauce (other sauces available), salmon in a slightly sweet chili sauce, roasted vegetables and asparagus. I haven't wrote a review in a while . Didn't want to believe the reviews online , but it's true. But I'll get into that part later. Wanted to give Patrick steakhouse a chance especially since there black owned. Although establishment had a great musical selection , you can barely hear yourself talk or think. Sat at the bar , so service was spot on. Wasn't crowded , so didn't wait long for my food . I ordered Salmon, mixed veggies and a baked potato. I was impressed with the size portion of salmon. I enjoyed my dish and even had salmon to take home. I was impressed with my dine in experience, and just knew I would be back to visit. I ordered cheese cake to go , and to my surprise the dessert was full of mold ; like visible fuzz . I called the restaurant to report incident and also to provide feedback . Disappointed to say the least , why isn't food properly inspected. Didn't want to believe the review regarding molded/spoiled food. Manager shared this doesn't normally happen , and promised me I would have a better experience if I revisit. It makes me question , was my food really fresh. read more

The service was TERRIBLE!!! It took them about 20 minutes to come to take our drink order and the waiter joked that he was "giving us time." We ordered appetizers and entree at the same time because we knew the wait would probably be even longer had we not. It still took an hour... maybe more before we got our food. Oh, and the drinks also came around the same time the food came. We stayed only because I had been wanting to try this places and hoped the food would make up for the bad service. We went there last night for our 5th wedding anniversary.... the service was superb!!!! Our waitress was excellent very attentive inviting nice!!! ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! so I sent back the drunk and ordered a corona Secondly.. we ordered the wings and empenadas for apps.... the wings were fried mush... so we know they weren't freshly fried ( possibly fried earlier and reheated in a microwave) I'm a foodie so I know these things!!! The empenadas was beef filled with like a roast beef... it was ok.. not great just ok.. Onto the meal meal... we both ordered the porterhouse.. no bone... med well.... on the end of my steak it was overdone which means to me, they weren't really paying attention and moving the meat around on the grill. I ordered herbed fingerling potatoes that didn't have one herb on it and was just ok and roasted veges that were a little mushy ( the peppers were) overall I give this place a solid 3....2 for the food.. they tried ... they really did, but I WON'T BE BACK AND ILL BE SURE TO TELL MY COWORKERS AT NYPD IT'S A FIRM NO FOR ME!!! Anybody giving this place less than 5 stars is fooling themselves. My husband and I chose this place at random. I wanted someplace well known and popular, and he wanted someplace convenient and not overly crowded. We didn't need reservations which I questioned but he didn't. At the end of the day this place was an excellent choice. The steaks were worth every penny. My hubby had the dry aged fancy ribeye, and I had the regular ribeye. While you could tell the difference they were both AMAZING. My husband LOVES steak, and while I may be an amateur he's from Nebraska, think Omaha steaks. He was very impressed and he does not give out compliments easily. For drinks we had the Patrick mules, which we both thoroughly enjoyed. I had the creamed spinach was also delicious, and the calamari which was good. My priority wee the steaks. The quality of the food warranted the high price, so we were glad to pay. Last thing, the entire staff was amazing. Our server was the bomb, I regret not getting his name so I could give him a proper shout-out. Patrick Steakhouse is a neighborhood gem! It's black owned and it's ambience gives tribute to black culture; from the menu, decor and 90s R&B playing in the background. The food was tasty and well seasoned! The service was A1 and the manager made a effort in greeting cards very guest to make sure everyone was taken care of!
