Cute place to stop by for dinner! Inside the medical complex but the staff was so sweet and the food was really good! We got the pani puri and the vegetable samosas and they had just the right amount of kick. My paneer tikka masala was good! My sister got the palak paneer and she wished it had a bit more flavor, but overall was good.

Visually stunning restaurant. They also have a terrace just for hookah. But sadly they close ag 9pm. The food was great and the decor was breathtaking. They accept card and service is prompt. Splid restaurant to get delicious Indian food in Cancun.

If you are in cancun and want to try Indian food this is the place you should really try. We try almost all veg curries and all curries were really good. The ambiance is excellent, service is excellent and food is very good. Paneer tikka masala is my favorite but we tried dal makhani, Chole, veg jalfrazi, dal tadka everything was very good.

e love Indian food as Indians and we always complain that in US there are no good Indian restaurants, keep in mind we have traveled almost all of US, even NYC so called famous restaurants are not authentic Indian. Last time I had kabob/chicken this moist was only in Oberon and then Taj Mumbai. The decor, vibe and service are at par the best Indian restaurants of five star hotels of India. And yes there is no restaurant in US which even comes close to this one. Sham savera I have never seen any restaurant in the US make as well. All the appreciation to each and everyone for great food, highly recommended.

The entrees were well balanced. However don't recall railway mutton to be heavily sauced, in the '60s & 70s. The daal makhani was perfect. The service was average. The kulfi was very good. It is the best Indian in the area.

This Indian restaurant came highly recommended by a chef in a resort when we were talking how awesome the daal was in elephanta restaurant, which unfortunately is now closed. However, patravali did NOT stand up to expectations. Their Tea was awesome, I had 4 of them during lunch !!, the daal tadka was decent/ average tasting but a savor amongst all other dishes- looked like they added meat in pre-made curries and microwaved them - had to send a couple of dishes back - like the chefs special srilankan lamb. Who messes up with a 'chef's special' dish , lol. I will not recommend or go back

Only Indian authentic food in Cancun. We ordered Chicken Tikka, Daal and Chicken 65. Tikka and Daal came out really good. Ordered Bombay and Chennai drinks both were okish. read more

Great service and good food. I didn't order much since I was solo but what I had - Dal and garlic nan were done perfectly. Also, it was a beautiful setting. But call to make sure you have the right address. They've moved and the address listed on yelp wasn't correct. read more

Best Indian food I've had and that says a lot considering I'm from California where we have a lot of diverse restaurants. The lassi drinks were delicious as was the naan and my paneer tikka masala! We are actually planning to come back before we head out of Cancun. The waiters have such great patience and care for finding the right dish for you. read more

Very good food. They have lot of options for vegetarians and they do customize for special needs (Jain's no onion no garlic). If you guys come to this place you should definitely try the subji "Punjabi paneer chop". Very good service too. Overall fantastic food and drinks. read more

Amazing Indian food, starting from appetizer to main course, everything was really good. We ordered malai tikka, chicken patiala, garlic naan, onion naan, chicken dum pukht biryani. I would give 5 stars to all of them, and recommend everything. The best part of my day was chai here, it's very hard to find Indian style chai with spices which is authentic, but this place nailed it. I am definitely coming back here very soon. read more

This place must be new because they don't have many customers yet, because the food was too good for them not to otherwise! Our waitress was very attentive and kept refilling our glasses of water. We ordered rice, naan, tikka masala, and some sort of lightly vegetarian fried mushroom dish. Portions were extremely large (I highly suggestion sharing plates, family style). The restaurant is pristine, clean from top to bottom. I didn't see any alcohol on they menu but we didn't need it--we stuffed ourselves too full to care.The meal was by far the cheapest sit-down restaurant we ate at and was a wonderful place to spend our last night. I hope that more people start trying it because it has great food and a good vibe. read more

Wanted something different in Cancún, and this did not disappoint, chicken Tikka, lamb korma with a great sauce, fruity yet spicy, nice samosa, great decor, and delicious drinks. Have the Bombay! It's a bit pricey for Cancún but compared to Montreal prices, it's comparable. read more

Pros - Food was decent. Drinks are good. Waitress was trying to help with limited knowledge of English. She even helped find us taxi. Cons - The waitress was missing order mainly because she didn't know English and was new. Worse was some staff who knew English were gossiping outside and left the new ones to manage everything. This annoyed me more. read more

Not again! Kerala pepper chicken had no pepper in it ‍ They aSk while ordering if you need it to be Indian spicy .. don't say yes. Because they just mix chilli powder and don't cook it thoroughly. Poor food and very slow service. Don't worst your $$$$$. read more

The keyword is Dal Makhani here. Do not leave Cancun without trying Dal Makhani at this place. That being said entire menu is off the hook. Best Indian food you can get outside of the subcontinent. Chef Chatar Singh and Chef Deepak are cooking some amazing North Indian food at this joint. Hats off to them for bringing great Indian flavors to Mexico. Paulo and Cindy were awesome servers. Try anything on the menu and you won't disappointed. Chili Paneer is one of the the best I've had. They actually know how to make Korma. Sham Savera is a yummy dish. Try their Angara pop for yummy tandoori wings. I'm from California and we don't have anything even close to this place. This is what Indian food is supposed to taste like. I don't have any photos because I was too busy enjoying the yummy food. read more

Excellent Indian food! So happy to find this place in Cancun. I just wish they had beer and wine to go with the food. Sometimes the food takes awhile but it's very fresh and great flavors. The only problem is sometimes the staff doesn't know the menu well enough to explain the dishes. read more

We had just enjoyed a great week at a wonderful resort in Riviera Maya, and how much ever we loved the various cuisines, were craving for comfort food at the end of our vacation. And that's when we found Patravali. Absolutely lip-smacking and authentic Indian food. We ordered a couple of different types of lassis - all freshly made, dal makhni, veg jalfrezi, butter chicken, a platter of grilled meats and different kinds of naan. The stuffed naan is a must-eat. What a gem of place to stumble upon unexpectedly. We'll definitely be back when in this part of the world again. read more

I cannot believe I found this spot, after years of living and eating within feet of Patravali. Several great reviews and the lovely photo gallery of a spacious, bright and nicely appointed venue convinced me to try dinner tonight. The menu consists of standard Indian cuisine plus rack of lamb, mocktails for drink and several Indian ice cream desserts; served by attentive, English speaking staff! Your party can be either tranquilo or loud with backslapping; each to his own. I complimented the Maitre D on my servings as excellent and informed him of an imminent return as all menu items stoked my appetite. Recommended for friends or foes alike! read more

What a gem - authentic North Indian flavors in the heart of Cancun! Palak Paneer had good paneer like you get in India, the palak was not overcooked and a beautiful fresh green color. Naan was light and crisp. They have a great complimentary onion chutney, mango chutney and raita. Gulab jamun for dessert was perfectly browned and not overly sweet. Service was fast and good. They have an English speaking staff. Mango lassi was ok, a bit too thick and rich for my taste but the kids liked it like that. read more

Finger licking food !! We (I, my husband and 18 months baby ) had been to Cancun for a week of vacation. When we were craving for Indian food after 3 days we found this restaurant. Its worth to give more than 5* to this place compared to other couple of Indian restaurants we ate in Cancun. Its amazing and perfect in all aspects like- food taste, quantity, price, spice level, cleanliness , customer service and not forget" parking in right in front of restaurant which is very good.we wanted to visit this place again before leaving cancun but couldn't make it since we were staying at the resort 40 miles away from this place. Absolutely delish India food. As an Indian who's lived in India for 25+ Years, can tell you this is really authentic Indian food. One of the owners I believe was a chef in Pune, loved the food. We ordered Chicken Tikka, Chicken Tikka Masala (not the creamy gravy you see all over US), Chicken Biryani. I believe he specializes in Lamb Racks. Must try when in Cancun. Not to be missed. However, the flat bread section only had one option - Naan. That's just laziness, if not lack of skills. Any good Indian restaurant will have a few other options such as Chapati, Tandoori Roti or Paratha and so on. Also, Naan is premade in yogurt which is weird.

Absolutely one of the best Indian restaurants we have been to. The food they cooked was way above our expectations. As with most Indians...we asked for masala papadum and it started us great. The chicken Tikka app was so moist and delicious. Chana dal, dal makhni, panner tikka....off the charts. We love our food spicy and they hit every note of that spice. So perfect that it left us hinged with desire to eat more and more. And for a final check....a thadak Indian masla chai!!!! Chattar the chef....our hats off to you. The waiters thank you for taking care of us and perfectly executing all of our needs. We ordered more food just to take back to the hotel for the next day. I can go on for a while but let me end this with....don't leave the place without trying the pistachio kulfi, exceptional blend of gelato and kulfi. read more
