Dinner with a view

The ambiance and service alone gets 5 stars. The restaurant was able to accommodate our request to be seated by the water in their cabana. We tried the chicken satay, spring rolls and chicken masala with plain and garlic naan. The entree came with different chutneys which was a nice. Everything we tried was delicious. A must try in Cancun!

Tandoori Murgh Tikka

Tandoori Murgh Tikka: 10/10 Chicken Biryqni Rice: 10/10 Garlic Naan: 10/10 Saved the best food in Cancun for last. Elefanthai was amazing! From decor and aesthetic, service, and food, it was 10s across the board for me! It's in a beautiful location with the tables overlooking the water. The decor is vibrant and eye catching but goes together very well. Their menu is a mix of thai and indian food with various gluten free, vegetarian, and spice level options as well. The food was delicious. I started with the Tandoori and OMG it was mouth watering honestly. The chicken was tender and flavorful without being overwhelming. I single handed my finished the entire appetizer My entree was the chicken biryani rice with naan which was served in the cutest little pot. The portion was perfect and again, delicious. If you're in cancun and want to branch away from Mexican food, this is a MUST TRY!!

Prawns Kasundi with coconut naan

Don't let people judge you for wanting Thai in Mexico--this is a must go! To begin with, the scenery of this restaurant is absolutely amazing. Located on the water with plenty of large group seating you're sat at what feels like almost a private section directly on the water. We went at night and the views were nice so I can only imagine how stunning it'd look during sunset. The menu is super extensive and very accommodating to all types of preferences. There's plenty of gluten free and vegan options on the menu. The menu also has a little flag showing where each food is from. I ordered the chicken satay to start with which was so delicious. The dipping sauces it came with added a sweetness to the flavor. For my entree I ordered the Prawns Kasundi and coconut naan bread because I love all things coconut. If you're a fan of Panaang curry I'd suggest getting this because it's the same vibe but a litttleeee less sweet. It tasted delicious with the complimentary rice and even better with the naan bread. This place is also one of the cheaper options we visited. I was able to order an entree and an appetizer for about $57 which is a steal considering the other places we visited during our trip. I would definitely suggest checking this place out!

Paneer with the chutneys, aachar and raitha

Everything about the experience at this restaurant was great! Service was a clear winner. The staff knew about the dishes, had friendly conversations and were extremely efficient. The most amazing surprise was the cake they bought at the end of the meal to celebrate a birthday, which totally blew our mind. This is real customer service. Thank you to the Elefanta team for making the evening so special. The food was delicious - whether it be Indian or Thai. We tried a lil bit of both and both were equally amazing. I loved the biryani! Do try the aachar - it was different and unique (not the traditional Indian aachar). They do not carry local beers but have all the imported options. A good selection of wine and liquors. Located inside the mall and has a very unique decor with individual cabin-like seating options, which is very private. Pricing : Being in the hotel zone and a fine dining restaurant, it is expensive. But totally worth the money you spend. Both food and service was top notch. Will I return? : Absolutely!

Wow what an amazing experince! This place is absolutely gorgeous and so unique. We went for dinner but I would love to check it out again during the day because it might be a different type of beauty during day. The service I've was excellent. Monica and Angel were very attentive, friendly and professional. And the food was spectacular. Having Thai and Indian food at the same place is very interesting and allowed us to have a variety of dishes and drinks. Definitely would go back! And definitely recommend.

First of the setting and ambience is rather unique and elegant. You immediately feel like you somewhere special. The place is exceptionally well executed. Really felt like a treat. All the food we tried was good. Tasty and fresh. Portions are on the smaller side, but that's okay, as many things are taster type portions. Careful when ordering water. They offer 3 types. If you don't specify, they pick the most expensive for you. The service was attentive and quick. Overall an amazing experience. We will defiantly return. We visited as a family with adult children, but the setting is super romantic.

An adventurous dining experience, the entire restaurant is near water and surrounded by greenery. We went at night and loved how the place was lit. Our servers (plural) were on top of everything. Refilling our drinks in a timely manner and making great recommendations for dinner. The food hit the spot! A bit pricer than expected but overall a great experience.

Other than not having air conditioning, the food & service is damn good. They have been in business since we bought our time share at the Westin Lagunamar in 2014 so that's 10 years at least!

Okay I wasn't planning on having Thai or Indian in Mexico...but I met a solo traveler back in Tulum who hitched a ride with me to Cancun...I also offered my 2nd bed to her because our flights left the next day...and we needed dinner! She was adamant about trying Elefanta which is a Thai AND Indian restaurant at the swanky La Isla Shopping Mall in Cancun. OMG I'm so glad I didn't convince my new friend to get Mexican. The views of the most perfect sunset sky was gorgeous from this place! That alone would give it 5 stars...but the food was also amazing! I had to have both cuisines. I had goat (Indian) and Thom Kha (Thai coconut soup). Delish!!! I tried my new friend's biriyani rice and I wished I'd ordered it! The Thai decor is like a replica of a beautiful village on the water. All the hut seating is amazing but they also have seating over water! We were so blessed to be there before sunset. If you've never been witnessed the gorgeous colors (pink, purple, gold) in a Cancun sunset then you haven't lived! We walked out to a dock at the restaurant took a few pics and soaked in the beautiful moment. This is why I love to travel...I meet new friends to have experiences with! This place is a must visit and I'll be back!

Spring rolls were crisp and freshly cooked. The sweet chili sauce had a bit of heat but nothing too bad.

Amazing vegan foods. We ordered the nacho for appetizer,…read morethe sauce was so delicious and great way to start out the meal. For main course, we got 6 different things plus a pizza to go, probably way too much foods for 4 people but the leftover was much appreciated even though we stayed at an all inclusive resort. Our least two fav was the pizza Margarita and the tamale. Pizza didn't have pizza sauce and wasn't crunchy, tamale was a little tough. Most favorite was the dessert. It was to die for. So presentable and delicious. Not too sweet which I loved. The main courses which hit the spot were: gringa al pastor, tacos al pastor, super queka, sopes, and enmoladas.

Not only is it a great dine-in experience, but Vegan Planet also has some great items for take-out. I do regret not trying their kombucha. Delicious, fresh, and affordable food! We had: -Raw cheese, half and half flavor, chipotle and original. (appetizer) -Alfredo Pasta -Queka (I had to google what this was) The Queka was a truly authentic, fresh, and inspired Aztec flavors! Naomi was our waiter; she was very accommodating and pleasant throughout the whole experience. We all had terrific conversations! It was with great expectations that we went to Bindiya this evening.   The reviews that we found…read morespoke highly of this new restaraunt just a few blocks from the center of San Miguel.   As people who spend a month per year in Cozumel this diversity was welcomed. Walking into an empty restaurant was our first sign of concern, but when the lady in charge didn't get off her butt to greet us concerns began to grow.  We entered anyway wanting to believe the reviews we read - they must have been paid reviews on yelp.. My pina colada was the worst I've had - EVER!  Tried to order but they didn't have Nan bread.  Seriously, an indian (dot) restaurant without nan.  Tried for plain basmati rice - no again.  They charged $5 for some flavored rice.  Have you ever been to an Indian restaurant that did not serve rice with the main dishes?  But not having lamb - no lamb at all - that section of the menu was out.  So it was chicken or fish or some unrecognizable vegetarian stuff with potatos. So we defaulted to two chicken dishes, Murgh chicken curry & Butter chicken along with an order of Jerra rice (had to buy rice!).. The dishes were VERY bland.  The murgh curry wasn't bad though and we did eat it.  It just lacked any real curry flavor.  The butter chicken was unlike any butter chicken I've ever eaten in any country in Asia or even the US..  It was almost Italian in nature with the overload of tomato sauce in it.  I've never had Butter chicken that tasted like tomato sauce.   It was horrid and we left over half of it on the table, along with that skanky pina colada. On the bright side the decor of the restaurant looks nice and the prices were not over the top.  More expensive than the value as it turns out. A very disappointing experience...

Finally my family agreed and in Cozumel , I yelped and found an Indian restaurant. It is about 15 minutes inside , away from ferry. The decor was inviting and excellent.the host was courteous. My kids finally thanked me for taking them for Indian cuisine as they loved the food. The chicken tikka was perfectly spiced for my kids taste and biryani for my more spicier taste. The owner also came to visit with us on her day off . We appreciated the welcoming gesture!! We thanked the chef Sanjay for making our visit memorable with his delicious cooking . Will be back when we are back to Cozumel!!

We ordered Dal Makhani, Mix Veg, Mutter paneer, Garlic Naan. Everything was bad. No flavor. The mixed veg has 3x the spices but not properly cooked so you could taste the raw spices. The dal makhani was watered down. I have had better mutter paneer from a ready to eat packet in grocery stores. The Garlic naan has no garlic, and was from a packet. Plus, it had some terrible smelling oil on the name of Butter. I couldn't eat it. We only finished 50% of the food, that's how bad it was. Won't go there again.
